Ronnie, Sallie, Dylan, and Sharon do a fantastic job of taking care of our mom. They are very compassionate and patient in answering our mom's questions and keeping her engaged and entertained, and they are extremely capable in taking care of her medications, meals, and hygiene. For many years now, the team at Queen City Elder Care has been a godsend

Queen City Elder Care has been a wonderful addition to our life. Mark and Sallie listened to us and devised a perfect plan for our current needs. I love knowing that they are available to us for any need we may have in the future. Sallie is amazing and, and we both like Rebecca very much. When she is with my husband, I totally relax and do something fun with my friends. He had one small choking incident, and she handled it perfectly. I have already recommended them to my elderly neighbors.

Our family has been pleased with the professional daytime and nighttime care that Queen City Elder Care has provided for our 93 year-old mother. Well scheduled and coordinated by Sallie as the Client Service representative, the team of Alice, Latasha and Anastasia, as well as others, are consistently prompt in their assigned shifts, capable in their medical care, helpful in their at-home tasks, and most importantly, each of them is extremely kind and patient with our mother. They clearly understand her condition and patiently communicate each days schedule of events and all other activities to her. They interact with her as a compassionate companion throughout the daytime shifts. Our family would recommend QCEC to others seeking reliable in-home care. They have been a blessing to our family when it comes to their assistance with our wonderful mother.

Queen City Elder Care has consistently provided daytime care for our mother for four years. This year they stepped up their coverage to include overnights. Throughout the years they have been prompt and attentive to her changing needs. We very much appreciate Anastasia who provides activities, walks, lunch and good conversation during the daytime, as well as, Latasha, along with a few other caregivers, who promptly arrive to care for her safely through the overnight hours. Sallie, Director of Client Services keeps the caregivers, the schedule and our family up-to-date and organized! Very quick response time to any questions or requests we may have. We would certainly recommend Queen City Elder Care to anyone looking for an in-home companion care company.

Sallie, director of services at Queen City Elder Care, met with me and my husband, who was very reluctant to accept help. She was knowledgeable, understanding and reassuring to my husband, Tom, about the companion who could help me as well as him. The young man, Phil, was CNA certified, and an excellent choice because he made both me and Tom feel comfortable and secure!

I had care givers from Queen City Elder Care and they were wonderful. Rebecca was the main one that sat with my husband and she was sweet, caring and was always there. I never experienced a time when someone just didn’t show up. Sallie, who is in charge of all the care givers was excellent. I was always notified if a replacement person was coming because the main caregiver was sick or out of town. She was quick to call back or respond with a text if I had a question or a problem. I would highly recommend this agency and would use them again should the need arise.

Queen City Care was extraordinary in their quick response to our family’s needs. They established care and assistance that was absolutely necessary to our parent’s situation. Mark was efficient in establishing the relationship. Sallie was at our home and asked all of the right questions. Felicia is a first class night nurse who understood all of our needs. The same is true for Sara. Queen City has a tradition of top of the line care and they proved that to be true.

I've been my sister's caregiver for five years. She was desperate not to leave her home but it was becoming increasingly difficult to handle everything alone. A friend suggested we contact Queen City Elder Care because she'd been so happy with the care her father received. What a blessing they were. Mark (owner) and Sallie (Director of Client Services) met with us the day after I called requesting information. I was impressed with Mark's story and how he and his wife Michelle had begun Queen City Care in response to the poor care their family's loved one had received when they needed to ask for help. Sallie's credentials are impressive, but I was even more impressed by how she talked directly to my sister and explained services in detail. My sister wasn't keen on having a non family member helping her and she was making that pretty evident! Sallie has a system for her aids documenting everything they do so the family knows. We could check in the binder her aid would fill out every day or online. And I don't think, she ever sleeps because she seems to be available 24/7. And then came Evelyn, the most patient caregiver ever. My sister has no memory issues, but she is extremely demanding. She wants everything done her way and right now. Evelyn went out of her way to accommodate. She managed to do everything on the daily "to do" list and then some. She was competent, patient, caring and reliable. We were able to use Queen City Elder Care for only a short while before my sister became ill and is now in a nursing home. And even now, Sallie emails to ask how she's doing. We could not be happier with the care my sister received.

Queen City Elder Care provided excellent services for my dad during his last few years of life. Caregivers helped Dad with physical needs, such as showering and food prep. They helped with light housework, such as dishes and laundry. They also accompanied Dad to appointments and social gatherings. Caregivers always arrived on time and were attentive and knowledgeable concerning Dad's condition. Each caregiver shared his own special talents and interests with Dad. Phil became another "grandson", who helped Dad with technology and shared a love for old movies as well as the latest releases. Dylan, Eddie, and Derrick were always quick to engage Dad in conversation on timely topics that helped keep his mind engaged and sharp. All of the caregivers were cheerleaders who supported Dad through many rounds of physical therapy and even accompanied him to the work-out room at his senior community and on walks throughout the community grounds for extra exercise. Sallie, the Director of Client Services, was always available to provide advice and suggestions for our family as well as for caregivers regarding how to best meet Dad's needs. She was an "encourager" for Dad and for the family. Gabrielle provided medical information and checked in with Dad in person and by phone on a regular basis. Our family greatly appreciates everything that QCEC did for our dad to help make his final years enjoyable and fulfilling.

I am very pleased with the services I'm getting from the Queen City Elder team and specifically from Sallie and Sharon. Although they do not support my spouse on a regular basis, they are always there for help whenever help is needed. Sallie is always there, amazingly and promptly responsive to any requests even those that come up last minute. I have been able to be away from home for both business and personal reasons without worrying too much about the ability of Sallie and Sharon's team to handle both planned and unplanned situations, very often independently taking the appropriate right action. We will likely rely more on Sallie's team support as our needs for quality and reliable care increase in the future.

I have had the best experience with Queen City Elder Care. We first had them help take care of my mom several years ago before she passed and then we used them again for my dad. We had 3 of the sweetest, very competent aides to help dad. Tisheda, Brianna, and Phillip were my dads favorite. As his dementia continued to worsen they showed him so much compassion and understanding. Sallie (who is in charge of the aides) and Gabrielle (who was the nurse) always came to visit him and his smile brightened when he saw them. The little things they did for dad, helped me be a better care giver and reduced the stress that I had to deal with. I would highly recommend Queen City Elder Care for all of your care needs for your elderly loved ones.

My mother became bedbound after a fall but wanted to stay home. Sallie and Mark, from Queen City Elder Care, visited my mother and family in the home to discuss care assistance. From the moment we met with them, we knew mom would be in good hands. They treated my mom like family. Philip, our mom’s primary aide, and mom’s favorite aide, attended to her every need, was kind and understanding. He would drop everything to help mom out when Sallie contacted Phil to stay longer, get there earlier or fill in when someone was not available. Mom had been in Hospice for over a year and passed away November 30, 2022. If you’re looking for people that truly care, are kind, understanding and very good at providing excellent care, please contact Queen City Elder Care. They were a God send.

For the past several months, my family has had the pleasure of employing Nikia through Queen City Elder Care. While the surrounding circumstances have been emotionally difficult…palliative care to "full skilled nursing" and now hospice, Nikia has been a wonderful addition to my dad’s continuum of care. Additionally, she's been a lovely support and resource for our entire family. She provides great clinical expertise and continually demonstrates excellent caregiving skills…not to mention she’s extremely patient, kind and compassionate. It’s quite evident Nikia takes pride in her position, as she’s always prompt and very thorough in everything she does. When there’s down-time, she electively helps with tasks including, but not limited to, meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry and organizing. Queen City Elder Care should feel very proud to have employees like Nikia as she represents your company very well. Thanks for everything!!

We employed Queen City Elder Care for both my mom and then a little later my dad. Brianna and Sallie were the best caregivers we had for my mom. They made her feel comfortable and made things easier on my dad by taking over certain aspects of my mom's care. After mom passed away, my dad eventually started getting dementia/Alzheimers so we called them back to have them help me take care of him. His most favorite aides were T, and Phil, and his last aide was Elysha. He fell in love with Sallie and Gabrielle who was the nurse. When either or both of them walked in the door his face lit up and he stayed on cloud 9 for several days. Even though at times he would tell me he did not need any help, he gave in and let them make his lunch and dinner and would engage in stories from his past. Queen City Elder Care are some of the most compassionate and caring people you can find to help ease the burden of caregiving for your loved one.

I'm a granddaughter of one of the clients that they have taken care of. My grandmother has passed since then, but I must say the staff that helped take care of my grandmother on her last days were amazing. And Sallie is a doll, I feel like the woman doesn't sleep! She is always ready to answer any questions I may have on what we could do to make stuff easier for my grandmother at the end of her life. I can't recommend them enough! They have the sweetest staff that would talk to my grandmother, bathe her, and feed her. They would even look through old photo albums with her and let her remember the good times. This company is wonderful and made such a difficult time for us a little easier. Thank you Queen city elder care!

Our family has been very happy with the guidance provided by Sallie. The weekly updates are terrific. Her communication with us has been exceptional. We are working through a horrible diagnosis on Dementia and QCEC has made this process less stressful as well as helpful with their suggestions. Sharon and Ashley have been very kind and patient with our mom. They seem to keep her busy and occupied throughout the day. Mom has always been an active person and I know she enjoys their trips to the park, picnics and ice cream. Companionship for her during the hours our family can't cover has been wonderful. Love the pictures they send as well as the notes. A much-needed stress relief when they are involved.

QCE personnel are very knowledgeable about Alzheimers and how to best provide care for the needs of our parent. Sharon and Ashley (the caregivers) daily notes are quite informative. And Sallie (care coordinator) seems to work 24/7. We are very happy with QCEC to date.

I will never be able to thank them enough for there genuine love and compassion for my mother and my entire family. I could not have gotten through this without you. I tried other home care agencies for my mother and were not satisfied at all until we found Queen City Elder Care! Other agencies were not reliable, different caregivers each time without any interaction with my mom. They just sat her in front of the TV. From our initial meeting with Sallie, I had very high hopes Queen City Elder Care provided the quality and consistency of care we wanted and needed for my mother. My mother is 95 and has dementia which is progressing. She lives with me, my husband and teenage son. All of our interactions with Queen City Elder Care have been wonderful. Sallie responds in a very timely manner and communicates well so everyone on mom's care team is informed. Gabrielle is the supervisor that has been a pleasure to meet. She checks in to make sure we are satisfied with the service and all our needs are met. From the beginning, Sallie really listened and understood our wants and needs to make this work for us with my mom's increasing dementia. We have a primary caregiver but Sallie introduced Daneane to the family as a back up. Daneane had some shifts to get familiar with mom. She fills in when my mother's primary caregiver is not available. Since Daneane was introduced in the beginning, she is able to step right in whenever needed, which is a great relief. Daneane is very kind and we enjoy having her. Kris is my mother's primary caregiver and I cannot emphasize enough how great she is. Kris is so caring, gentle and fun. Kris and Daneane really engage with my mother. They make sure her daily needs are met (something to eat, get dressed, etc) but also play games, talk, laugh, bake and do mom's nails. I am so happy we found Queen City Elder Care to help with taking care of my mom and adding some joy to her day to day. It is such a relief to be able to trust the caregivers in our home and know my mom is having fun and being taken care of properly when I am working. I highly recommend Queens City Elder Care!

We are very happy with Queen City and the exceptional care they have offered my mother. Caregiver, Lexie, is fantastic! She has great energy, always positive, helpful and kind. Lexie is also a great cook! Gabrielle stops by regularly to check in on things and is always willing to help when needed. Gabrielle is wonderful. Lastly, must mention Sallie as she is the glue that manages the whole team of caregivers. Sallie is terrific, always available, good at communicating and following up timely. We are very happy with Queen City and highly recommend them.

Sallie and Gabrielle and their team at Queen City Elder Care are truly outstanding. For years, caregivers Ronnie, Lexie, Dylan, and Sharon have been taking excellent care of my mom, who has cognitive limitations and has trouble getting around. They help her with countless daily tasks: keeping track of medications, shopping, cleaning, even operating the remote control. They drive her to appointments and cook nutritious meals, and they encourage her to exercise. They are prompt, courteous, kind, and extremely responsive to requests for help, and we never have to worry about the schedule because they are so reliable.

Queen city has exceptional caregivers. Ronnie has been with our family for seven years and we couldn’t live without him. Our mom loves him and we can always depend on him. The rest of the caregivers- Sharon, Dylan, and Lexie- are also wonderful. They are always cheerful and helpful, and our mom enjoys their company. Sallie and Gabrielle are amazing. Sallie is available for text and phone questions night and day. The two of them put so much care and planning into making our mom happy. We feel really luck to have such a great team!

I am a relative of Bob and Ola who have been with Queen City for over 6 years now. And honestly I have nothing but high words of praise for this company. They have done so much for my parents over these years to make sure they are comfortable. Gabrielle and Sallie both are such sweet hearts and run the place with so much care. I have nothing but praise for the two of them. And both Bob and Ola speak nothing but praise for their caregivers Eddie and Lexie! They just absolutely love them to death. I hear about them a lot when I call over to check on them. I am glad they went into such a caring home and were well cared for by the queen city staff, I full heartedly recommend them to care for your elderly parents/grandparents.

We are very happy we reached out to Queen City Elder Care to assist with our 90 year old mothers in home care. Sallie and Gabrielle have both been wonderful in creating a plan, scheduling, communicating, and being available to talk. My mothers caregivers, Jessica and Lexie, have been attentive, kind, helpful and always smiling. They massage her legs, do laundry, light house keeping, meal prep, bake cookies, go to grocery and doctor appointments. Their care provides great comfort to my mom and gives our family the needed help to keep her at home. Highly recommend Queen City Elder Care.

After being frustrated with the care my dad was getting at several assisted living facilities, we finally brought him home where he got the attention he needed from the Queen City Elder Care team. Despite multiple and serious challenges, everyone at Queen City was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly caring. Notably they did not lose sight of, or ignore, what my mom was going through during my dad’s struggles. Clearly the QCE professionals “get it”. I can give no higher praise.

Queen City Elder Care was our 5th Agency in two years. My wife was is her final stages of a terminal illness. I requested to bring her home. I wanted her to be in a familiar environment with her pictures on the wall and along with our family and grandchildren . Sallie was in charge of Coordinating my wife’s care plan .She demonstrate it Organization ,Structure and maintain Communication Protocols. Structure and line of command I like because it keeps order and at that time I was a disaster. She said call her 24/7 if I had any questions or concerns .Covid-19 was a concern .Honestly my thoughts and concerns quickly Vanished once, I witness Queen City Elder Care -precautionary Protocols in place .- face masks, hand sanitizer ,hand washing , spraying bottles , Disinfecting hard surfaces and limited items allowed into our homes . Consistency with the number of people was key here with my wife’s care . Sallie hand selected a team of caregivers. Gabrielle was the RN on duty several days a week checking in . Sallie and Gabrielle were coming in and out training each aide ,my wife’s routine. This meant the would to her as well as to me. Each person was caring, gentle, skilled and provided excellent care. My wife loved the gentle touch of the lotion treatment with a massage. Small bites of food and water with encouragement from this group . Helped my family and I say goodbye at her final hour . We thank each team member . Death can be hard for any family to watch happen . I was grateful to had been there handing her hand . She went peacefully with her entire family by her side . Thanks again for guiding me though all of this. Your company and staff are amazing . Thanks for the flowers and cards .

We have been with Elder City Care for approximately 4 months now. We interviewed a few different companies. We were impressed by Sallie and Mark’s professionalism and their interest in exactly what my 90 year old father needs assistance with. Sallie is very flexible and responsive if there are any scheduling changes. Phil has been my Dad’s primary caregiver in the evenings and he is so attentive to my Dad’s requests. Phil is dedicated, open to communication, problem-solves situations and is also considerate and respectful to my mother. With siblings in different states, Phil is very accommodating and informative to all family members. Thank you Elder City Care and Phil!

Queen City Elder Care provides care to our 90 yr old mother. We chose this agency over a larger one because of their program, leadership, staff training and the personalized plan of care they develop and implement. Our mother's care providers - Candace, Daneane, and Dajia are excellent! They provide light housekeeping, help with meals, and companionship keeping our mother active and happy. Throughout the pandemic, these ladies maintained the CDC protocol with masking, social distancing and keeping Mom's environment sanitized. We felt completely safe with the care provided to our mother. I also like that they record Mom's care and activities daily so family members and myself can have an up to date report on Mom's day. Sallie and Gabrielle provide expert oversight and are very responsive to our needs and any request as it occasionally changes. Kim is the activity coordinator who designed a personalized activity plan based on mom's preferences. Kim comes periodically to help Mom with holiday inspired art projects. Many times I have found Mom humming and singing after her ladies left. This reassures me that my mother is satisfied, fulfilled and has received loving care. I heartily recommend the staff from Queen City Elder Care for you or your family. member.

Queen City Elder Care truly cares about their clients. Mom’s caregiver, Emmaline, not only gives Mom the attention she needs for her physical well-being, but also goes the extra mile and in spite of Mom’s hearing loss & memory issues has upbeat conversations with her to keep her mind active and her mood elevated. In addition, she is a big help with housekeeping & is very willing to help in any way she is asked to. Sallie, Director of Client Services, is always on top of any special medical concerns and also runs a tight ship in terms of monitoring attendance and checking in with caregivers to suggest ways to optimize their time with clients. This is our second agency and QC Elder Care has definitely far exceeded the standard of care we experienced with the previous agency.

Queen City Elder Care sends Kris B to my mother's home two or three times a week to provide in-home care and companionship. She does errands, helps mom with her daily physical therapy exercises (light), and most of all, gives her emotional support and companionship. My mother tells me every week how grateful she is to have Kris and how she has come to trust her and enjoy her company. Kris takes initiative and makes sure she does things exactly to mom's satisfaction. She is truly a jewel. She has shown herself to be honest, reliable, and caring. The agency does a fabulous job of communicating with me and making sure all is well. We couldn't be happier with Queen City Elder Care and Kris!

Omgosh I can't say thank you enough times to this amazing organization, Queen City Elder Care! The care givers truly care for my parents, listen to their needs, encourage activity to help keep them active and so much more! Thanks to Lexie, Eddie, Jeffrey, Phillip and Dylan helping my father with his exercises daily, dad, after a serious surgery at age 91, is now able to eat by himself! Eddie and Sallie, who overseas the care givers, are responsible for getting my mother to ER when she really needed to go! So thankful they care so much and are watching for signs of illness. I would recommend Queen City Elder Care to anyone!

My father needed 24-hour care and Phil, Dylan, Eddie, Jeffery, Derrick, and Chris were among the caregivers we were blessed to have on our team. These outstanding people became family to my father and to us. They went above and beyond every step of the way, which included the Corona Virus shut-down and the elimination of family visitors until my father went into Hospice care. Fortunately, many months before the shutdown went into effect, each of these individuals had already endeared themselves to our family and they truly became angels that watched over our father to the very end of his life. Though it was excruciating for our very large family to be extremely limited in our visitations with our father, the Queen City Elder Care staff helped us find creative ways to interact, whether by phone, video chat, through the window, or staff calls at our request. I know I speak for my siblings, their spouses, the grandchildren, and the great-grandchildren when I say, the entire family feels indebted to the selfless staff at Queen City Elder Care who demonstrated care, concern, love, and devotion to making our father comfortable, happy, and even entertained. Thank you for making a huge difference in the life of our father and also for providing peace of mind for our entire family.

My father needed caregivers after having numerous falls and being diagnosed with dementia. He was very slow to warm to the idea of caregivers and completely refused to have any female caregivers. We were fortunate to find male caregivers with Queen City Elder Care. Specifically Phil, Dylan, Eddie, Jeffery, Derrick and Chris. Each of these men brought their unique personalities into my dad's life and he enjoyed them all thoroughly. They were kind, caring and thoughtful. Because Phil and Jeffery were with my dad for the longest period of time, I got to know them very well. They attended family get togethers where they helped dad with his food, restroom needs, and walking. They became an integral part of the family and we all loved them. My dad also considered them like an extension of the family and looked forward to their visits. When my dad was in his last hours, they were there to provide support and cared deeply for his well being physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you a reading this, you probably are in the process of making some difficult decisions, perhaps your life's hardest. I would tell you that these are trustworthy, kind people who will make that decision one you will be glad you made. i would recommend Queen City Care to anyone in need.

I have extreme back pain and must remain lying in bed almost all day. I recently had hip replacement surgery, then replacement of that hip, then surgery to clean out the infection and was on a picc line. My daughter who had been staying with me was then suddenly called back to work. Queen City Elder Care came to our rescue and within a short amount of time, had evaluated me, trained workers and have come every afternoon for the past 6 weeks. The workers ( Jennifer and Daneane) are extremely respectful, kind, and patient with me, providing everything that I need, as well as helping me with my physical therapy exercises and short walks. They are trustworthy and help around the house if I choose to nap. They follow my daughter's directions and leave notes to let my daughter know how I was feeling and what I did every day, as I sometimes forget. She is very grateful to have consistent care for me- it relieves her to no end to know that I am getting great care when she is not able to be here! If a worker is ill, or running late, someone steps in to cover for her. My daughter receives email updates and texts also! The communication is crucial for my wellbeing. Thank you, Queen City Elder Care!!!!

Our family is so thankful for Queen City Elder Care. They provide quality, friendly, professional, consistent and loving caregivers. When we could not keep Mom home any longer they continued to care for her even while she lived in memory care. We wanted our mother to have the specialized care that Queen City Elder Care could provide. They took Mom for walks and helped her with physical therapy and crafts too. Kim W still takes care of our father, driving him to his volunteer job every week and staying with him. Kim has provided relief for our family. I’m also inclined to mention Sallie F, Tanya and Karina who expertly handled our mother when she was at her worst, being patient and kind through it all. We are happy that we chose Queen City Elder Care out of all the other servicing providers.

I am a past client of this agency. They took care of my mother towards the end of her life. They helped provide so much care for her that was hard for us, as her family to do. They would bathe her, change her, feed her, give her her medication, talk to her, make her feel comfortable, as well as clean the house for us during such a difficult time. All of the staff was very kind and nurturing to us all. I fully recommend this agency to your family members who need the help. They made a hard time for us much more manageable.

Queen City Elder Care has been there for my in laws to help them with bathing, dressing, preparing all their meals, etc. They go out of their way to make meal time special. I hear Jen will make homemade beans and play music, Candice treated them to steak, Lexie will talk all afternoon to Bob once he retires to the porch and Willa loves to tell Ola stories. You can always count on the care givers to treat them like family. I have heard Jeffery and Phil help out around the house with extra chores for Bob. Chris always makes sure they don't have any extra needs before he leaves. We are always able to speak with Sallie, who manages the care givers, with any requests or questions we have regarding Ola and Bob. This is huge since we live 21 hours away! We are forever grateful for this agency and highly recommend it to any family needing care for their elderly family members.

My parents both were the past clients of QCEC both had Cognitive impairment and needed assistance with keeping focused with activities, medication ,driving to appointments and their every day life . Sallie ,Teddy & the ladies in red did a heck of a lot with my parents . We are all very appreciative for the kindness and love that was shown to our parents. Dad had a stroke and required more assistance at that point we thought it was going to be for the best to move them into a facility. We were wrong, we wish we would have stayed with Sallie and the team as unfortunately our Mom and Dad both died one year later.

I have hired several home health outfits over the years- each offering sub-par care. I have now been with Queen City Elder Care for a year and a half and am so pleased with the attentive care I receive from the staff and management. Jeffrey, Dylan, Brittany, Phil, Jayla, Aretha, and Eddie are wonderful caregivers. They know my routine and anticipate my needs. The managers, Sallie and Gabrielle, pick the caregivers that will be the best match for me. The managers are very responsive and assist me with scheduling my appointments, ordering medications, ordering supplies, and even hand-pick my groceries. The caring staff at this company are helping me achieve my goals and I look forward to working with them for years to come.

We have been using Queen City Elder Care for almost one year and I have nothing but praise for them. My wife Marilyn has been diagnosed with Alzheimer'sfor almost five years. Our caregiver Kris, has been an angel in that she makes us breakfast and helps Marilyn with her baths. Sallie and Michelle are very helpful in answering and question at a moments notice. Kris is more than just a caretaker, she has become our good friend. THANKS

We're using Queen City Elder Care. They're taking care of my mother. Queen City Elder Care has been a saving grace for both my parents so that they can still live comfortably in their home! We live in another state, but know that our parent's everyday needs are being taken care of. Sallie is very good at making sure any requests from my parents are met. There are many amazing individual caregivers that are there weekly. It is hard to just name a few, but Derick, Tiffany, Briana are a few that come to mind. Thanks for all you do!

Tameka and Sallie were amazing when caring for my Aunt, they were reliable, compassionate and it was obvious they loved her. Tameka always came in with positive energy, was on time, and was happy to see my Aunt. She made nutritious meals, and made sure my Aunt was clean and engaged in conversation with her even though it got to the point my Aunt couldn’t talk back. In addition, she kept me well informed how my Aunt was doing and any changes. Tameka and Sallie are a real asset, and I will miss seeing them.

Queen City Elder Care was here st my Great Aunts house five days a week for four hours a day. Her ladies in red would help my great aunt With housekeeping ,personnel care ,pet care but most of all companionship. The ladies in red would assist her with cooking her favorite foods and sitting down and work a puzzle. My great aunt always look showered and well dressed . The ladies in red made sure that She always had her favorite food in the fridge & in the freezer would be her favorite ice cream. I was saddened to hear, she couldn’t stay in her home anymore. Packing up I found so many things that this agency did for my great aunt. They were so organized and kept her bills paid and everything nicely filed. Everything is her closet and cabinets were amazing everything was so organized . I just want to say thank you from the bottom my heart for giving such great care and attention to detail. They took care of my great aunt for over four years .I would highly recommend this agency. I didn’t know they did so much stuff. I wasn’t really sure who did all of it but relieved it was done

We have tried several other companies, before Queen City Elder Care . We are so lucky to have had excellent care provided to our mom . Anytime we would stop by she was relaxing and seem happy . Caregiver’s always taken the time and pride in her appearance-fixed her hair and makeup on with her beautiful jewelry and dressed in day clothes. Mom always looked beautiful,We loved this . The caregivers cook actual healthy meals daily , personal care & other chores provide. We never worried about a thing since QCEC . Mom’s declined was ...is the hardest thing my family has ever gone through. Sally and her team has guided us through this hard time . Thank you for providing excellent service.

Queen City Elder Care has provided excellent, loving care for our father in his home for some time now. The caregivers from this agency (Phil, Jeffrey, Danny, and Dylan, to name a few) help Dad with all of his daily needs, including personal care, meal preparation, household chores, exercise, and mobility. Perhaps most importantly, they also provide him with companionship and intellectual stimulation. Phil, in particular, works almost full time with Dad and has virtually become part of our family. These are special people who take on, often, difficult tasks with grace and loving care, and my father’s life is enriched as a result of their ongoing efforts. Thank you all.

I am the great niece of one of their previous clients. They did a wonderful job in taking care of not only my great aunt, but also her two dogs. They talked with my great aunt about her love for dance and her past job as a principle, as well as played with her fur children bringing a huge smile to her face. Her absolute favorite care giver was Tracy, she would always bring a huge smile to my great aunts face. I was visiting one day and I got to meet Sally, who one of the higher ups and she was a delight. She came up with some amazing therapeutic ways to handle the situations with our family and care givers. It was a lot of help, even providing her number in case we wanted to ever call her for anything. Overall I am very pleased with the services that they had provided for our loved one. Thank you!

My Aunt hired Queen City Elder Care , for my grandmother she had cancer of the colon. We met the director of the agency her name is Sallie. She listened to what my aunt was sayin and looking for as for a Care plan . Sallie Was such a caring person she listen to everything my grandmother and Aunt said, even read through some of the books that my grandmother had written years ago and read some of her poems to my grandmother once again. It was beautiful! Sallie hand picked my grandmothers Caregiver Brie was perfect! She was caring , jumped into helping with whatever needed to be done. She was always on time . Made meals , light housekeeping,And med reminders but the most important she was not only a worker she became my grandmother’s friend. My grandmother passed a few months ago. My aunt received several calls from Sallie just to find out how she was doing . After my grandma passed ! I would highly recommend Queen City Elder Care.

We have had other agencies before QCEC. The first time We talked to Michelle V. the Owner on the phone ,We were immediately impressed with the information she was able to give us very professional and Knowledgeable on Dementia. My Uncle needed special care .He had Severe Dementia which lead to behavioral concerns. The Co Owner Mark V. and the Director Of Queen City Elder Care,Sallie F. came to the house to met my Uncle and Family . We were Impressed to say the least. After the contract was signed Sallie stayed and spoke with the family about our concerns and did a Safety assessment on what equipment we will need . Within a few days 24/7 Care was started. Sallie Is wonderful at her job . She Provided the right Caregivers and created the care plan. Each caregiver she Personally introduce I’m showing my uncles routine to each and everyone of them. Caregivers Wear red uniforms.Very professional in appearance. One thing that I did like that I must mention we never had a stranger come to the door. All the Caregivers were on time &never missed a shift . Holiday and weekend always covered. Caregivers Followed the care plan and kept us updated with the care notes as well as writing in the binder.Documentation is so helpful thought we knew what he ate and drink . Even keeping track of what he Was wearing. Showers personal care ,Bowel movements and Medication Reminders. We received light Housekeeping, laundry,Companion care activities and Sallie and Caregiver would assist with driving and go with my Uncle to Doctor appt or hair appointment. Even though he was declining they made sure he was still able to go to his favorite restaurant. Queen City Elder Care .I would highly recommend this group. The leadership the teamwork among each caregiver showed professionalism Knowledgeable-Compassionate .The training that was provided you could definitely see the difference in this agency hands on. Thank you 5 Stars For Queen City Elder Care.

They cared for my father in his home for several years until he died last week, and they gave us complete peace of mind. The home health care aides were always kind, courteous, and willing to go the extra mile for my father, who had advanced dementia and was wheelchair-bound. They engaged him in conversation, bathed him, helped him lift his little barbells, and prepared meals - and they also tackled any number of miscellaneous household tasks, such as helping my mom work the remote. Queen City also provided medical supervision in the form of a talented RN on staff - She accompanied my father to medical appointments when I was not able to do so, and she acted as a strong advocate on his behalf. The agency also maintained a secure site for families to obtain patient updates and billing info.

We have used Queen City Elder Care to help care for my great aunt for seven months. They have been wonderful. For example, my aunt has short term memory loss and dementia and she often forgets where she is and who is with her. When this happens, she gets a startled deer-in-the-headlights look on her face. Whichever caregiver is with her will recognize this look and remind her where she is and that they are one of her caregivers. This may seem like a small detail, but it can make a huge difference to keep my aunt from becoming agitated. Also, Queen City Elder Care can help analyze your loved one's living quarters and make suggestions and recommendations for changes that will help adapt your loved one's environment to their current limitations (both physical and mental). Queen City Elder Care is ALWAYS prompt, professional, dependable, knowledgeable and they care about my aunt and my entire family. We had a different home health care company for three weeks prior to Queen City Elder Care, and they did not even some close to meeting the standards that Queen City Elder Care has. I would highly recommend Queen City Elder Care to anyone who has a loved one in need of care, especially if they have dementia.

My family was very fortunate to have been referred to Queen City Elder Care. We have been with them since October 2017. We started out with 12 hours a week just for basic needs of a shower and care for my mom. As my mom is getting older and with dementia getting worse we have increased the hours of care. One of the things that we love is that there is no contract and as long as you give enough notice things can be changed around. For a while there my mom was being able to be on her own for a little bit in mornings. However one morning 15 minutes before care giver was to arrive ,she fell hit her head, ended up with 5 stitches a fracture in her hip and thank goodness the caregiver arrived when she did and she was taken to the hospital they have been a blessing helping her get back on her feet again and she is now walking again. Sallie F. Is wonderful. She is always available for. The staff is always on time my mom loves the caregivers that assist her during the day. I can't say enough good things about them and I'm always referring them two others.

I just seen this online. I wanted to let others know I used this service for my Mom. She was only with them a few mos. before she past. My contact person I believe her name was Sally. I am sure I bugged her a lot. She never seemed put out when I called inquiring about what they were doing with my Mom. They took her out to do things which took a lot off mymind. I Ididn’t want her to spend her last few months in a room with a TV. They even sat outside with her. I appreciate all the little extras they did with her. It’s hard when you live far away. The guilt sets in. This company helped erase a lot of guilt by just being with her.

My family was very fortunate to have been referred to Queen City Elder Care. My mother basically was on her own in Cincinnati with no family in town to look after her. We contacted Michele and quickly came up with a care plan that worked for my mother. We had come up with some basic care averaging around 20-24 hours a week. After about a month, my mother quickly took a turn for the worse as she was diagnosed with breast cancer. We had to rely on Queen City to play a much larger role in her care. Being that my brother and I are located in Columbus with our family's, we quickly began working very close with Sallie F. Sallie is great, she was able to fill any request we had for her, and I mean any! We soon went from basic care of 20-24 hours a week to 60-70 hours a week. This included basic house chores, grocery shopping, rides to and from doctor appointments, rides to and from chemotherapy, basically whatever we needed. Beside all the help they provided, the number one thing and most important to my mother was the companionship. We tried our best to get Sallie and her team a schedule a week in advance, but things often came up and needed changed on the fly. Sallie was able to accommodate every change we needed. I really don't think my mother would have made it through her chemo treatments both physically and mentally without Sallie and her team by her side. So again a big THANK YOU to Mark and Michele, Sallie, Loraine, Tonya, and everyone involved! I would highly recommend the services of Queen City Elder Care!

When you realize your parents need help, you are confronted with multiple difficulties; finding that help is only one of them. Can you believe the information you stumble upon? Is there really anyone out there who is genuinely going to be a help? Will they care enough to see and respond to your parents as human beings? In Queen City Elder Care, the answer to all those concerns is a reassuring and resounding 'Yes'. I say this what some perspective - I went through disappointing experiences with three other outfits before finding Michele, Mark and their capable directors. They really do it all - they quickly come to know your parents and to craft a level of care not only commensurate with their needs but with a sensitivity and regard for who they are and how they respond to these changes in their lives. But they don't stop there - they recognize that things inevitably change and continue to tailor their care in light of what they learn and observe. They do this with a sense of mission - they treat those they work with as they would want to be treated themselves under similar circumstances - and they are willing to try anything that offers to make the lives of those they care for the best they can be.

We collectively as a family were very thankful for Queen City. You worked with us to identify the "best fit" between provider and our parent. Once that fit was found, the care provider did her work daily with a smile, keeping the family in the loop to any changes or challenges. You worked collaboratively with us in creating a schedule. Queen City works very hard to find the right person to fit the needs of the client. The personality of the caregiver is important in making the client feel comfortable and accepting of having a stranger come in to their home and care for them. Building rapport between the two makes the process of everyday care go more smoothly not only for the client, but for the client's family who are also involved in making sure their loved one is receiving the very best care and is happy as well. Queen City has a great team that includes a supervisor who helps introduce and transition the new caregivers into the client's home. She provides instruction on how each client likes things to go, what's important to make them happy, and where everything is located so the client doesn't have to go through that each time someone new comes into their home! We have been very happy with the care our mother has received and Queen City has been quick to respond and resolve any concerns we've brought to their attention.

Elder Care home care is very good. A registered nurse comes in once a week to spend four hours with my mother to conduct an overall assessment. The caregiver comes in three times a week or as many times you need them. They do anything that you want them to do from light housekeeping to just sitting in and talking. They cook meals, clean up, help her exercise, and even do grocery shopping. My mom doesn't like the nurse because the nurse is doing her job being a nurse. She is pretty assertive and business oriented in doing her job. But my mom likes the other caregiver because she is gentle and more down to earth. They also leave a detailed daily report so the family can read what went on during the time they were there. If there is any problem, they will call me.

I would highly recommend Queen City Elder Care to provide assistance and care to your loved ones. Michelle and Mark always take time to talk to me about my concerns and questions any day, any time. There is so much to learn when you realize one of your parents can no longer care for themselves. Queen City's support, understanding and quality of caregivers has made a big difference in my Mom's life. I can rest easier and go to work with less worry and concern knowing they are providing care. Michelle goes the extra mile to work with COA and other Senior Services in times when I am unable due to personal and work situations. They are a wealth of knowledge, resources and comfort.

Queen City Elder Care came highly recommended to me by one of their current clients. My mother was being released from a rehab facility and was going to need assistance. I knew from my first meeting with the Queen City Elder Care owner & caregiver supervisor that they were the people I could trust. Their professionalism was so impressive. They asked all the right questions about Mother and her needs. They worked with the rehab nurses and doctors to be sure they were totally familiar with her abilities and inabilities. They spoke "to" Mother, not "around" her and she appreciated that. During the time they cared for Mother, they were thorough, caring, and put her best interests first at all times. They kept in communication with me to let me know how she was progressing. And, I felt comfortable to call either of them at any time if I had a question. If I ever need caregiving services for Mother again, I will definitely be calling Queen City Elder Care.

My Mother is receiving care from thee people in my home. I am never called to let me know when they are coming but if another agency is coming to my house I have to call them. The other agency that comes to my house is paid for by Medicare and they always call and tell me when they are coming and since they don't I end up making appointments for the other agency and guess what happens this agency shows up!!! Yesterday I had made an appointment for 9:30 a.m. with the nurse so I jumped into the shower at 9:00a.m. and the aide from this agency shows up, luckily my daughter was able to get to the door to let her in. The aide dressed my Mother and the nurse showed up. the nurse had to show this girl how to put tet hose on because the way she had them on would have cut the circulation in my Mothers legs! thank goodness I the nurse came after she got my Mother dressed and not before. Since they are paid in advance I feel they think they can show up whenever they feel like it. I read how they are trained but I did not see anything about common courtesy especially when it comes to having to deal with 2 agencies and Michelle knew I would be dealing with 2 different agencies. How trained are they if the aide does not even know how to put tet hose on!!!!

The caregivers were patient and understanding of my mother's needs and really even seemed to enjoy being with her. They not only were caregivers but helped with cleaning and organizing for her and even cooked along with her to keep her active and help her do the things she would ordinarily do. We will definitely use this service again as it becomes necessary. She was happy with the service and that says a great deal.

Queen City Elder Care provided in-home care for my Mother for the last seven weeks of her life. My sister and I were extremely pleased with all aspects of our relationship with Queen City Elder Care. The supervisor was incredible and all of the staff that assisted with Mother's care were extremely professional, well prepared, and well trained. The supervisor herself did an exceptional job of training her staff and she herself came several times a week to touch base with Mother, my sister and I, and Mother's caregivers. Three things that really stand out about Queen City Elder Care are 1) the personal connection and incredible caring that Mother received from all of her caregivers 2) the flexibility of Queen City Elder Care as our plans changed week to week 3) the outstanding professionalism of the Queen City Elder Care supervisor and all of Mother's caregivers.

One of my family's greatest gifts as my mother was reaching the end of her life was the amazing and loving care she received from the care givers of Queen City Elder Care. They were warm and professional and always made sure that my mother received everything she needed to be as comfortable, cherished, and peaceful as possible. My mother loved her care givers and was very grateful to have them with her as we all were. The director of Patient Services was phenomenal. She was very involved with Mother and made sure that the care givers were well trained specifically for her.

Dad suffered a broken hip in July 2012. After the surgery and rehab at Shawnee Springs, dad really wanted to go home. The only problem...he required 24 hour care to start. After meeting with home care companies in the Cincinnati Area, Queen City Elder Care came out on top. Visits at the rehab facility by the account manager and nurse revealed they would be the best for dad's care at home. Since January, dad has gotten stronger and closer to being able to care for himself at home. The caregivers are excellent at what they do and the account manager works very closely with the caregivers on items to continue in dad's strengthening and caring for himself. Without the dedication and attention to detail provided by Queen City Elder Care, dad would still be in a nursing facility. Excellent company!

About Queen City Elder Care in Cincinnati, Ohio
Queen City Elder Care:
After working their way up from Physician Representatives to Regional Director and Sr. Vice President for a well-known, national palliative care agency, Michele Vollmer and her husband, Mark welcomed the opportunity to start their own business in the greater Cincinnati, OH area. The Vollmers were moved by the growing number of elderly individuals who are left unattended at home when released from the hospital. They developed a strategy to help mature adults maintain independence and a high quality of life by providing trained, compassionate caregivers.
"I love hearing clients and their families express how much the service has helped them and how great the staff is," says Michele. Queen City Elder Care uses a rigorous process to ensure that caregivers are trustworthy, dependable, and have the attitude, personality, and skills needed to provide top quality care. Caregivers are assessed by performance indicators, including personality, behavior, integrity, and the risk for substance abuse and sexual harassment. The Vollmers also see the importance in using an empirically validated assessment program to assess their caregivers psychological states through standards set by numerous associations, such as the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Employees are also encouraged to practice conscious capitalism, as the Vollmers provide opportunities for them to volunteer and give back to the community.
With certification in the American Alzheimer's Association advanced Alzheimer's and Dementia training Program, essentiALZ, Queen City Elder Care's staff members are well prepared to provide the type of care and understanding needed for individuals with memory loss.
Unique to Queen City Elder Care, they employ a nationally-certified Activities Director who ensures that their staff provides client-centered care. In addition to supporting a client's cognitive, physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being through therapeutic activities, the Activities Director matches each client's former lifestyle as closely as possible with his/her current functional level. Diet and exercise are also individualized based on medical needs.
