I highly recommend the Waterford at West Bend to those looking for assisted living or memory care options. Caring staff – The staff were willing to help in whatever way that they could. Mom referred to them as her “angels”. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place and the cheerful decorations made for a pleasant environment. Good support system – Amber, the director, is extremely knowledgeable. I sought her advice so many times since I had never dealt with assisted living situations before. I learned much from Amber. Her common sense approach to issues we faced brought peace of mind for our family. She always found time for us and was very caring. Fun group- Mom celebrated her 98th birthday during COVID. The staff wheeled her outside, along with many of her Waterford friends, to enjoy our drive through birthday parade. I also have fond memories of the Thanksgiving dinners and Hawaiian luaus they put on for all the residents and their families to enjoy. We made good friends from these gatherings. The staff and administration work hard to make you feel like part of their family. Nice accommodations-The apartments are spacious and comfortable. In the assisted living part, there are two rooms - a separate living room and bedroom. They also have a private bathroom with a shower.

We liked The Waterford at West Bend. My mom liked it. It felt comfortable. It seemed to be a very well-kept place. The residents seemed very comfortable and very nice. While it's a community, it's a smaller setting, so more intimate and has a lot of homey feel to it. The staff that showed us around was very nice. They have lots of little extra seating areas and beautiful outdoor space with connected patios that go around the entire perimeter of the property. We were touring the assisted living area. The residents we crossed paths with, the staff knew them all by name. They all seemed very happy to see her when they saw her, so that gave me a good feeling. There wasn't so much that was around them. There is an apartment complex right across the parking lot. I would like maybe better fencing up, to kind of give it more privacy. There's an old building at the entrance that I'm not even sure if it's abandoned or what, but you can see the backside of that from the property and it just looks rundown. But then the property itself is very beautiful and well done. In the back where our patios are, it backs up to the Milwaukee River and it's all wooded. When you're back there, you feel like you're out in the country and in the back, it's beautiful.

My father-in-law is in The Waterford at West Bend. It was too small. It's a nice place for someone who lost their loved one and doesn't have a lot of stuff and doesn't want to bring a lot of stuff. We made his apartment look just like he would if he was at home, set his furniture up the way it was. I like it. They're all nice at that place, clean, and they have a good menu all the time. My father-in-law's never complained about anything since he's been there, and he's been in there since December. So he says the meals are good, the staff is nice and they take really good care of him. But, it was too small for my mom and dad. They have bingo, and they have a room that's off with a big TV that they can sit in there and do stuff like read books or puzzles. And they always have a billboard thing, and then they'll see the weather and the date. And then they'll see what activities are going on, or even if there's a sports thing that's on with Packers or the Badgers. They keep them informed about a lot of stuff. My father-in-law doesn't get into playing bingo and all that, he's just sitting in the room. But there are areas to do things and stuff, he can get out and walk around if he wants.

My father was a resident in the memory care unit and I spent many hours at the West Bend facility. Everyone I worked with, from the Director to the staff in the ward was excellent. My Dad could not have received better care! Whenever I had a question or asked the staff to look into something it was done in a very timely manner and communicated to me. I would highly recommend The Waterford at West Bend.

The Waterford at West Bend seemed very pleasant, light, and bright. They had lots of activities for people to do. I liked the space of each apartment. The staff seemed pleasant. For amenities, they had laundry, a library, and medical people come in. There was a nice trail next to the building.

The Waterford at West Bend was nice and clean, and it looked like everything was under control. We picked them since there was a room open. Every day they have some activities going on, like exercises, bingo, and they take the residents on excursions once a week or so. It seems like it's very good, and we don't have any complaints. My mother and sister are residents there and they both like it. The food is average, and it looks pretty good to me. Some days they like it and some days they don't.

When I went to The Waterford at West Bend, they had the tables at the lunch room set up for bingo or something. The staff was able to explain everything we needed to know. We were invited for lunch, so we went back, and they're like, "Oh, we didn’t know you're coming today. We don’t have enough food." They should have brighter lights because it was too dark in there. I wasn’t that impressed with it at all.

The Waterford at West Bend seemed pretty nice, but they didn't have enough for the older guys to do. The women were busy, and the guys were sitting in the dark somewhere. The dining area seemed pretty nice. It seemed like the people were pretty nice.

We visited The Waterford at West Bend. It was a very nice, clean, and modern facility. Everything was updated, and there were personal bathrooms in each room.
