I am a friend or relative of a resident

St. Camillus looks beautiful and very nice. The food is really good. It's not homemade food, but more restaurant style food. The physical therapy is perfectly wonderful. The food was wonderful, but I didn't see anybody smiling. There was one caregiver I really like, but I thought things were very business-like and kind of cold. I wasn't impressed with that. It is a beautiful place when you went into it. It looks very pretty. The physical therapy staff was outstanding, but I think they were trying to deal with too many people. I wish they could have divided people better to those who were more mentally alert as compared to other people. I don't think they place people together well, so that was very upsetting to my dad. I didn't see a lot of friendly or smiling staff, so I wasn't very happy with that. He couldn't wait to get out of there.

St. Camillus was very expensive but it was great. They had very nice rooms and amenities. The people were very happy there. If you could afford it, it was very nice.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The staff at St. Camillus are always so incredibly kind. They take a lot of time out with each resident who lives there, and complete their jobs thoroughly, kindly, and with a smile. Also, there are so many different support staff at St. Camillus that help patients with rehabilitation, counseling, religion, end of life care, daily cares, and fun activities. The campus is absolutely HUGE. It is well kept, there are flowers and a "reflection" type trail, with stations of the cross. It feels secluded, even though it is in the city. There is a jacuzzi and work out area as well. On the campus, there is security and cameras, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is very safe, secure, and in my opinion, an elegant environment. They have several libraries, chapels, and offer assisted living, home health, dementia, and hospice care. The apartments and rooms at St. Camillus/San Camillo are quite large. There are 1-2 bedrooms, dishwasher, laundry in and out of unit, and a beautiful view. I have also had the opportunity to enjoy meals here with the Jesuits, and the food is always fresh and pretty tasty. This facility is absolutely fantastic, and I would definitely retire here someday.

The staff is incredibly friendly and knows what they are doing. My grandmother raves about the care she receives. They have plenty of activities and social events for the residents. I'm sure this helps them feel like they are part of a community within St. Camillus, and they also get to interact with the surrounding community quite a bit. The facilities are incredibly clean and have recently been renovated to look extremely modern and comfortable. My only complaint is that they often seem to be short staffed. The employees do a good job, but it seems like they would be stressed considering all that they must do. Still, I haven't seen any residents be neglected due to the limited staff.

    I visited this facility

The staff work hard to make sure my Great grandfather felt comfortable and at home, the facilities were well managed and caring staff. I give extra credit to all of the employees that worked around the clock to meet both their guest and clients need. I'd rarely seen any dirt on the floors walls and elevators. Weather issues weren't really issue's at all because when it snowed they would shovel and add salt to the floor immediately. I would like to point out most facilities were under staffed but it didn't stop them from accomplishing their daily goals.

St Camillus is a Catholic assisted living home/apartments. They are well kept up and very clean. The staff of nurses and aides is exceptionally good. They are attentive to the residents and their needs. The meals are served in a large bright dining room and are home cooked and I am told very good tasting. The meals, when I visited, looked very appetizing and smelled great! Breakfast is optional for the resident because many of them just have cereal in their room. The private apartments are not very large but adequate for one person a small kitchenette to make a pot of coffee or light snack. The bathroom is handicap accessible and has a walk in tub and elevated toilet seat with a call light right next to it and the tub. The residents can do their own laundry if they wish otherwise the staff does it once a week for them. The residents are assisted with their bathing and dressing as needed.
