Sylvan Crossings on Evergreen was nice. The director was extremely accommodating, really nice, and I could tell that she had a nice relationship with the residents. It looked like a very peaceful and quiet place, and all the residents were busy, doing something like crafts in their room. It was clean, and clutter-free, but maybe some of the flooring was a little dated. Though she told me that they were updating each room with new flooring as residents leave.

Sylvan Crossings on Evergreen is a beautiful place. The people are very nice. I like the lady. She was so nice because she showed me around even though I don't even know it was way more expensive than what we can afford. She gave me ideas. It was very nice. They have a nice patio area outside and a nice dining area. The place was decorated nicely. They got me a cup of coffee and a homemade muffin; the food was good. It was a very nice, neat place. I really enjoyed the time that I was there.

The apartments for seniors in this facility are some of the nicest I've seen. They have nice carpets, large rooms, and feel very "homey" compared to a lot of assisted living facilities I've seen. It feels like a regular apartment complex and not an assisted living facility. The meals they provide are surprisingly good, but since the apartments have kitchens the residents also have the options of cooking for themselves. The only thing I think this place could improve on is providing a wider variety of structured activities and outings for the residents-my grandpa is pretty good at entertaining himself and is still relatively active, but I see some of the other residents doing the same things day after day or just sitting by themselves and I feel like they must be bored-it would be nice if there were more things for them to do! It's a great place for someone like my grandpa, though, who is able to do a lot on his own.
