My mother is at The Marquardt. I like it a lot. It's beautiful and it's very well kept and lots of staff are around. She's able to participate in a lot of activities and stays busy. It's very nice. Her room is gorgeous. She has a two-bedroom apartment and it's almost 1000 square feet. It has vinyl floors in the living areas and carpeted bedrooms, one-and-a-half bathrooms, and a full washer and dryer. It's very, very pretty. One whole wall of the living space is windows. They have card clubs, book clubs, and coffee, and there's a group that she goes out to dinner with at least once a week. There are a few people from her church that live there, so she has a ride to church. It's close to the hospital, so her doctor stops in regularly and sees her and her physical therapist comes to her place twice a week. It's pretty much full-service. In their independent living facilities, it's beautiful and very nice. I've never seen anything out of place or a speck of dirt. I had several meals there. One day I had a club salad. Another day I had a lobster roll. We went to the Fish Fry a couple of times. We had a Reuben sandwich. It's a very, very nice dining place. Value for money is very good. The prices are very reasonable.
