My mother has moved into Noel Manor Retirement Living. I have always liked it. I've had several relatives there and they have always done a really good job. My mother seems to have adjusted to it pretty well, and she has accepted it as much as she possibly can in her state. She has been doing pretty well. The facility is fairly new and up to date. They seem to have enough personnel on hand. I didn't hear of any shortages. It's a pretty unique or pretty nice layout they've got. They have pretty good activities, and the food is fairly good. The staff members are very respectful, very polite, and very caring. I have not tried the food, but I have seen the menu and it seemed to be pretty good. The place is just one straight line basically, so you don't have a lot of confusion going on, and you should be able to find your room pretty easily, and very seldom I would think, they would get lost. It's pretty well laid out. They got an exercise program first thing in the morning. They've got bingo. They've had like music. One day we were there, they had a harpist who was playing the harp. They have music entertainment, and they'll take tours every now and then. My mom can go out of the facility whenever she wants to as far as if she's with somebody and they don't give her any hassle with that. The only thing they ask is how long they're going to be gone, so they know what to watch for. They're pretty good that way. They're all pretty high priced, but Noel Manor Retirement Living has really probably the most bang for your buck. They have a patio, and because they're in a straight line pretty much all your windows face outside. One half of the building faces the woods, and the other part faces the parking lot. My mom went to the side that faces the woods, so it's a really nice view.

We toured Noel Manor Retirement Living for my friend, and we didn't have anything that we didn't like. Comparing the other ones, I would say they're maybe a four. The layout was kind of long, and there would have been a little more walking. The room was very good, and the dining area was very clean and looked fine. They had a laundry down the hallway.

This facility offers Independent and Assisted Living BUT is coded as entirely Assisted Living which means during a pandemic/epidemic your Independent family member(s) will be on full lockdown with no ability to leave. Their cars will be blocked in the garage and they are fully restricted from seeing any family members. Even the residents didn’t realize this when they signed up. These are not my only complaints. Beware and look elsewhere!

Please do your research on this facility. Our family member's experience here was very poor. She was a resident for a month and she needs a high level of care. We did a lot of research but still have been very disappointed in this facility and would not recommend it. The facility was always understaffed esp during holidays/weekends. Many of the staff were not trained. When issues arose (like a pressure wound), the handling of the matter was poor and we were told no one on staff was able to dress it, requiring us to find additional help. They provide transportation, but during the interview process we were not told about the mileage limit and availability. There were daily activities that our family member enjoyed, but the type of program and the interaction were not to the degree we were promised prior to admission. The food was poor. The building itself is very nice, new construction with large rooms and bathrooms with senior friendly showers.

My in-laws are in Noel Manor. It is independent for one and memory care for the other. We did a lot of comparison with the other facilities, and it is a little more expensive, but it provides what we need, and the proximity to us is a better convenience too. The only thing I would find a little odd is that the room has a little kitchenette and really in memory care I find that unnecessary. But the size is very adequate, and it is spacious. The staff clearly knows what they are doing. They are very patient and are also very helpful in giving us ideas and suggestions about how to handle things and not to worry and being able to explain and help us understand what is going on.

We like the set-up at Noel Manor. It's independent living, but when you shift to continue your care to assisted living, you can stay in your own room and they bring additional services into your existing living situation. The place is relatively new. The staff is great. I've watched them interact with the residents; it's great. They have a nice library. They have a brand-new grand piano which was donated by one of the residents. The eating facility looks out on a beautiful green area. Part of it is actually a pub where they have a happy hour two times a week. The residents gather and have a glass of wine together, which I thought was very cool. They have quite an active schedule. The person who assisted me was great. My parents felt very welcomed in the community. I did eat lunch with my folks and food was OK.

Noel Manor was a new place. The apartment and food were included in the price, which was comparable to the other places. We probably will be living there. The food was very good. They had a theater and all kinds of activities posted for people to do. They had laundry facilities, which you can use yourself if you are able, but they can do it for you. The food looked varied, tasty, and plentiful.
