My friend is at Oak Ridge Care Center. There is nothing in particular that I don't like about the place. The facility itself is very clean. The people there are very concerned about my friend's well-being. I think that he is treated very well. I notice that they treat the other residents very well. They're very responsive to his needs. They're very responsive to me if I have questions. They always contact me if there's any change, such as medication or any appointments that maybe they have made for you. There's very good communication between the staff members there. The food looks very appetizing and is a well-balanced meal. My friend has never complained about the food. He said that it's very good. They have several activities every day available for them if they choose to participate. It's a pleasant environment. There are no people laying around the hallway, and no one is yelling or screaming for help. I wouldn't say it's a new building, but it's not old. The layout seems pretty nice. My friend is getting what he's paying for.

We were very happy with Oak Ridge Care Center. It was clean and they were very caring and very nice to their residents. My husband was there and we were pleased with how everybody was so friendly and helpful. Every time you called, somebody would pick up the phone and get your questions answered. You can have your choices there. They ask you all kinds of questions if you would like to see a pet or if you want or what kind of diet you have. Everything was well taken care of. The food was good, too.

This place is terrible. You have to wait 30- 40 minutes for someone to answer your call night. My aunt would sit in her soiled pants for that amount of time!!! We as the family know this because it happened a few times when we were there. No wonder why she has sores on her bottom. There is never any aides around to help out when she has a issue. Their excuses is that we are in a shift change but you would see 3 or 4 staff members hanging at the front desk. Must be waiting for quitting time. Some of the staff seems to not care. There has been times we were there and the hallways smell like urine and the rooms don't get clean daily.

The staff seemed very caring. There are daily activities for the residents and I like that it is a privately run facility.

Very poor care. Aides rarely answered call lights. Nurses were rude.

My mom is at Oak Ridge Care Center. I have seen it once, and I didn't like it very much. The rooms were fine. It was just the way my mom was. I had to cut her nails and give her a shower. I haven't tried their food, but it looked nasty. She gets up for physical therapy, she eats in the morning, and stays in her room all day. They need to improve on her bathing, the food, and the up-keeping. They took her from the hospital and kept her there. I don't like the facility at all.

My elderly uncle was a resident at Timber Oaks Nursing Home for about a year before passing away. He would beg routinely to be taken home, but then most residents do that. The nursing home is located across the street from a park on a large grassy lot with many paths through it that are easily wheelchair assessable. He did enjoy going out of doors to look at the small vegetable garden some of the more able people were growing. He shared a medium sized room with another man. The room usually had unused linen lying on a chair or window sill making it look sloppy. The beds were made in an "open" fashion when the resident was up making it look more hospital like than home like. The dining room was small but bright and cheery with a TV which was left on during meals. The food appeared to be adequate and he said it tasted "OK", which is a compliment since he was a picky eater. There was at times a strong odor of stale urine in the halls which I found to be unacceptable. The staff seemed kind and concerned and treated the residents with respect.
