The rooms are very well kept and easy for someone who has limited sight to navigate around. The staff have been cordial and very helpful when we have had questions or needed to set up help for my mother. When we needed to have someone bring groceries to her during Covid-19 they helped us work out a way for someone to go buy those groceries for her and then drop them off in the entry way to keep all residents safe. They have a wonderful activities director who sets up an exercise program for them and also games like Bingo, Bunko, and craft activities weekly. Today they are having a hero day drive through to honor the staff and residents where friends and family can drive through the parking lot while the residents look out and wave to them. Before Covid 19 they were even taken on a pontoon boat ride in Boom Lake. They have a salon, a library person comes with books, laundry facilities, Three meals a day are served in their dining room. Currently my mother cooks her own meals and doesn't eat in the dining room. She is very happy here and we are very pleased to have her so well taken care of.

Milestone Senior Living - Rhinelander was a very nice community, very nice people, and the accommodations were very nice. I would have no hesitation to recommend it to someone. The staff was very nice, very helpful and very knowledgeable. it's not modern, it's not brand new, but it's well kept up. It was very acceptable.

We went to see Milestone Senior Living this morning to look at their assisted living. It was very nice. It would be a very nice place to live. It looks nice from the outside, and everything inside. All the rooms are decorated nicely. They're all carpeted, painted, and paneled. All the furniture looks like it's all brand new. Everything looks really up-to-date. The staff was very helpful and very informative. She said there were activities going on all the time during the day. There were two different rooms for it, one located on the first floor where you could sit around and read or do puzzles. There's also one on the second floor, there's a bigger room with a television with some reading materials.

My wife was at Milestone. She was there for respite stay. The ladies that were there were very nice, but the room was awful. On the way there we got a call that she wouldn't qualify for the apartment side and that she had to be in the "memory" side. So we went there and we checked in. When we went and opened the door, the only thing in the room was an old twin bed. The box spring was worn and had holes in it. It was just an old, lumpy mattress. Frankly, when we got in there, my wife and I started crying. I had to leave town for three days, but I told her that as soon as I got back, I'd take her out of here. It was not a good experience. My wife doesn't have Alzheimer's or anything like that, but because of the nature of her MS flare-ups, she needed more care than what was available on the apartment side. When you're in the memory care, everybody else has memory problems, and so it was a freaky situation with the people walking around. We were advised to keep her door shut and locked, so it was really weird. The problem was that they didn't have a manager at that time. They just had somebody who was just starting and filling in and whatnot. Everyone was trying to be nice, like the personnel and the nurses that were there were very kind, but I would never go back there.

Outdated care plans, care plans presented for my mother are not carried out. No administrators present for several months now......offices are empty. No one to contact when having a question about my mother’s care or concerns. Inconsistent activities offered. Not having a consistent shower schedule or frequency of showers. Very poor communication with family when staff changes or no longer exists. Do not follow specific required diet plan for diabetic residents. Not accountable for my mother’s care. Dresser drawers are not clean, staff are helpful when you can find one....very understaffed. Urine smell in places.

My dad moved in to Milestone a year ago. The staff at Milestone helped him feel at home. Dad has Dementia and some days it is hard to visit with him, the wondeful staff put him at ease and make him feel like he is at home abe to share his memories. I am thankful for the staff for taking such great care of my dad.
