The staff there is very good. They go above and beyond to be helpful. I do, sometimes notice an odor of urine, but also understand the nurses are very busy and some of the residents are simply unable to care for themselves. They have beautiful flower gardens. All who want to go to the "gathering room" in the morning, enjoy coffee and a snack while the local newspaper is read to them. I felt that they really enjoy that. Local musicians come in and play music and they can play bingo and other games, too. I enjoy taking my relative, in a wheel chair, around the flower gardens when the weather is warm. Their annual cookout, which includes family members, is amazing, too. I think the local Lions club helps with that. Locals can stay in their home town and still stay up on current events. Thank you to Neillsville Care & Rehab for all that you do!

Facility in general has an urine odor. Residents are left in the community room after "feedings" are done all afternoon. I have witness my relative waiting :30 minutes after pressing the "help" button. I finally helped my relative to the bathroom. Rooms are small. The room holds two single hospital beds, 2 dressers and 1 chair. I have witnesses residents sitting in their own feces and or urine. One community TV by the nurses station. Very little information is given to family regarding relatives health, habits or behavior. My relative has fallen twice in the 1 year she has been a relative. No explanation was given for either time. Both times my relative was hospitalized. My relative is restrained to her wheelchair and has an alarm placed on her person. My relative is able to walk with the assitance of a walker, yet is rarely taken for walks by staff. My relative has gain 30(+)pounds since becoming a resident. I assume this is due to inactivity. This is only nursing care facility in our area. The facility costs 3500.00 per month. My relative's family farm had to be sold. The funds from both her saving and farm sale are set to run out in 2 years. If the care was better, the cost would be acceptable. Our senior family members deserve more. We will all be old one day.

I visited this facility because of my grandfather who was moving in. We, my mother and I were helping my grand father move in and make a change in this life. Although I did not stay there past a few hours the placed seemed nice, he seemed to like it there and was very happy. There were a few friends of his that already lived there and it seemed like he would have lots of company and be well taken care of. The place was also very clean and smelled very well. There were no signs of it being dirty and he even committed on how it was cleaner than he was used to, being that he living alone. The nurses and other staff there also seemed very nice and respectful of my grand father. I got letters from my grand father a with bit after he moved in and he seemed like he still enjoyed the place very much. I think it was a great move for him.
