Ovation Jewish Home was very nice. I like how they care for the people that are living there and everything like that. The building is clean and very nice. They have everything for the elderly. They have a rec room for them. They have a lot of stuff for the elderly people. The outdoor is pretty nice. The staff seemed like they were very nice and very caring. The food was pretty good, too.

I will start off by saying I was placed here after brain surgery and I did not have a say on where I was going to go. The Activity staff are wonderful!! The nurses and CNA often do not respond quick enough to needs! I can press my call light and wait 5-10 minutes at times. I am on the 5th floor. Activities I enjoy - Writer's Workshop, Bingo, Ceramics, Crafting. Physical Therapy staff are the best. They have helped me out almost daily. One thing I highly dislike the patients are just allowed 2 showers/baths a week here. Weekends are pretty dull. I am not Jewish and they have nothing to offer those of us who are not vast majority of the time. Thankfully the bedrooms do have excellent cable television! One thing I also enjoy is the view of the lake from the dining room. So overall I guess I would say there is a lot of free time which can be good for Physical Therapy but it did not help my depression. And one thing I highly disliked - I have been here over a month and I have only seen a doctor once! He is the reason the staff rating went from a 3 star to a 2 star.

My mother is in Jewish Home for approximately a month now. They seem to be very nice. It is clean. They have nice amenities, and my mother actually seems to like it there, which is the most surprising part of it all. They have some nice areas that people can sit, talk and socialize. They have a place where people can watch TV with a group of people. They have an area with animals, like birds and stuff like that. The staff seems to be extremely attentive. They are good. You press a button, and they are usually there within one or two minutes. She is in a studio-type room. It is just one room with a bed and a TV. It is big. It has a wonderful view. It is amazing.

When my father became ill, my family and I were looking for an assisted living facility in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area that had a Jewish background demographic. We had been referred to the Jewish Home & Care Center by a few friends of the family who gave strong recommendations and positive reviews. Located just north of downtown Milwaukee, the location is central to many things in the city, including the freeway, grocery stories, and lakefront. This make it easy to get to, as well as when they take field trips there are many destinations within close proximity. The staff and helpers have been more than helpful, always polite and courteous, and unlike other assisted living facilities we have visited, express a genuine concern and passion for patient care. The food I have sampled has been excellent, and the cleanliness of the facilities is top notch as well. I would recommend the Jewish Home & Care Center to other individuals looking for a Jewish assisted living facility for their loved ones.

This assisted living provider seems to be very good. They are kind to the residents, and offer them a very wide variety of activities to participate in every day. There are many volunteers, and the volunteer coordinator does a good job of keeping everyone in the loop about what is going on, and when events are happening. The Jewish Home and Care Center is located on beautiful Prospect Avenue in Milwaukee, and overlooks a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. There are many gardens surrounding the home where residents can spend time, which is nice because no one wants to be cooped up in their room all the time. If you do not have a car, the home is very accessible by the route-30 bus. Due to the religious nature of the home, most of the residents are Jewish, but not all are. They have both kosher and non-kosher dining halls, and offer a wide variety of Jewish religious events for the residents.
