Wells Nature View on 21st Street. I have a relative in the facility. The place is clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and caring. If residents stay in their rooms, its because they choose to do so. Maybe ask for donations of lotions, soaps, gently used stuffed animals for your bingo games.

I toured Wells Nature View I. It has dogs and I'm not a dog person. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and very helpful. It's got a country setting. It's quiet. The rooms were small. It's like living in a box. It feels homey. As for the activities, they didn't really have much. Sometimes they read stories to the guests there. Sometimes they play games with them.

All is well as long as you can pay out of pocket. When you are 100 years old and in the hospice program and out of money they wanted to force my grandma to move and have a room mate. I know it's business but after being there for 8 years its a mean kick in the behind. Especially when it was their staff that missed a UTI till it was to late for her to recover from it. In my opinion they were a huge contributine factor in her death. It looks nice but the residents spend most of their time in their rooms.

In the past, when we looked for a place for our parents we came across Wells Nature View I. The place was very clean. It was set-up like a home. The staff were very amenable and seemed easy to talk with. The rooms were nice and you were allowed to bring you own furniture.

Overall, my experience with this facility was thoroughly positive. The staff seemed to be caring and genuinely helpful, and answered any questions I had. Additionally, the presence of multiple cats seemed to bring a certain happiness to most of the residents, as they especially enjoyed petting them-although, this could cause problems with shedding, etc (of this I am not certain, just a possible consequence). A small room containing various board games, cards, and so on was present for any residents who wanted to play or-more pertinently-for young children visiting relatives, making it more family accessible. There was a nice area inside for residents to relax and converse, besides their rooms of course, albeit a bit small, bringing me to my one major qualm regarding the facility: it could have been a bit larger. Although, seeing as not many residents came to the 'livingroom' type area (at least when I was there), to relax, perhaps it was appropriately sized. I found the eating area to be adequately sized, with extra room if family of a resident wanted to eat. Additionally, there was a small shaded area outside for residents to enjoy the weather, and a walkway around the building for the residents to enjoy the sun. Overall, it seemed to be a very decent facility.
