My father is at The Bay at Sheridan Health and Rehabilitation Center. What I like the most is the staff. They give me minimum weekly updates on how he's doing even if it's just to say he's doing okay and there's no change. The chaplain services there are great. They work very closely with hospice care, so as far as end-of-life planning, families aren't left in the dark. What I like least about them is that they're not updated. You can tell it was made in the 1990s, but it's a clean facility. With regards to the staff, I understand that nursing is not an easy field to be in, so given their workload, I'd say they're outstanding. However, In the main hallway, they have this big sunlight, and when the sun is overhead in the summer, it acts like a greenhouse and it gets way too hot.

My brother is currently at The Bay at Sheridan Health and Rehabilitation Center. They seem to be doing OK taking care of him, but it seems pretty crowded there. I've seen the food that they serve, and it looks fine to me. We bring him pizza and sandwiches now and then because some days he doesn't like the food and some days he does. The staff has been polite. They do call if there's a problem. I think they're doing their job. There was one nurse who I liked, but she quit. They're very busy. They don't seem to have enough staff. Sometimes the phone doesn't get answered.

Horrible facility, peeling paint in rooms, no phones. Can’t ever get a hold of anyone, put on eternal hold. Filed State complaint after my brother had bed sores and admitted to hospital a second time. Unfounded proof which is nonsense. Floor staff was good, incompetent doctors. Unfortunately my brother had no choice no other facility available.

I had my mom at Sheridan Medical Complex and now my husband's aunt. I don't like it at all. Some of the staff members are pretty good, but they don't last very long because they leave. They rarely have a private room; there are more shared rooms. They better hire people who are actually competent to do the job and would want to do the job. My mother and the aunt have never liked the food.
