I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father was in Manorcare Health Services Kenosha. I was happy with their help. The staff was nice, caring, and had good communication with me. They wouldn't let us in because of COVID. He was very happy with the food.

I would go with less than 1 star if I could. My dad is in here right now, or last I heard 🤬 I understand that due to the pandemic, no one, other than staff can see him. Ironically, he gets covid, is segregated, and all of his memories taken down and put in a box as if, business as usual. He is fine now, and my guess, is back to, now an emotionally absent room. His birthday, is on Christmas. Our family asked for a facetime, which was agreed to. We waited, and no response! There is no "care" in this manor. This is beyond heartbreaking! Oh, and if you need to contact anyone there, be sure not to use any of the listed numbers, due to a problem with anyone answering. I recommend you try calling, before you make a decision, see for yourself...🤬🤬🤬

Terrible facility and even worse care. Our father has become nothing more than a a bed that doesn’t get made or a wheel chair that doesn’t get moved. We aren’t allowed in to keep staff on their toes to actually take care of him. He doesn’t get washed, fed, has no rehab, doesn’t get moved out of his bed, phone calls aren’t being placed home, clothes are being lost...the list goes on. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

DO YOUR RESEARCH ON LTC! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND KENOSHA MANOR CARE! While SOME of the staff are caring and helpful most are overworked and do not follow through with anything. COVID lock down has made this even more transparent. My loved ones health and wellness has dramatically decreased since first coming to Manor Care. We did not choose LTC for end of life care. We chose it because we did not have the means to care at home any longer. Over the short period of time since at Manor Care, he went from healthy at a good weight, walking with aid, communicating and fed himself. He now is wheelchair bound (if they get him out of bed), lift moved only, barely communicates, on a pureed diet and has weight management problems. There is supposed to be daily stretching in the staffs ADL's. There is not! As his joints are becoming locked. He has gotten the FLU & COVID while in here. While in COVID isolation (different wing) they literally took all of his things down and out of his private room and put another patient in his room?? His room is his world. Pictures/belongings still boxed up? We didn't just sign him away. He has family to advocate for him. With an active POA-HC we advocate for him BUT are always on the back end of Health issues that the facility/staff are choosing for him. As we attempt to advocate we get endless promises and no follow through. Before COVID we could get into see him and care for him. This allowed us to push accountability and to care for him ourselves. Common problems: Not showered, Not out of bed, Not wearing his own clothes (we did his laundry at home due to it was always being lost), ate meals with him (not just checking the 100% ate box in documentation), blinds/ lights not turned on in room all day. Facility being outdated décor etc. is not an issue for us BUT the Cleanliness is a problem. We are heartbroken and angry with this being our current situation. He is a human being and has a family that loves him deeply. We entrusted this facility to care for him as they sold it!! This facility/Company needs to reassess/ retrain/ staff correctly to care for our loved ones (their CUSTOMERS). Compassion and understanding that these are human beings not a task to complete during your shift. LTC is NOT just end of life care. We do understand he has a disease that is not curable and with time will decrease his abilities. The ask is not for rehab or a cure BUT is for some accountability, sustainability, and QUALITY OF LIFE!!

My father was recently in this facility and was on hospice. I found the staff and nurses were very helpful through this whole ordeal. Benda the nurse and Sara the hospice nurse kept me informed on everything including Claudia the social worker. The patients room was always clean and I have no complaints. I would recommend this place. Our family really appreciates everything you’ve done for our loved one. Thank you, Christine Nankishore

Lovely place. Since the new management took over things have gotten a lot better. The therapy is amazing. food is decent. The place looks very nice as well and they gave me a private room in the short term wing.

I am a friend or relative of resident

When I called they seemed disinterested in talking to me about concerns, unwilling to offer assistance. She hung up on me when she didn't want to answer anymore questions. Very unprofessional.

I visited this facility

It seemed nice enough. The staff of nurses and such were polite though they could have paid more attention to their patients general hygiene. But they're wonderful to my aunt, she likes it there too which is what really matters.
