My husband has gotten really good care at Lasata Senior Living Campus West. People stop in regularly and check on him. One time we were late coming back from a doctor's appointment, and they called three times to make sure that he was with me and not wandered off. He's got really good physical therapy and occupational therapy and they've been very attentive in helping him regulate his activities to his limitations. His room is spacious and up to date, as well as the areas that are important to most people, like the bathroom and the shower. The campus is set on some rolling hills so you can look out and see greens. It's a lovely view and most importantly for my husband and everybody else. The food has been excellent. When you don't feel like going out, they come up with trays and they're very accommodating. The common areas are well appointed, very pretty, and make you feel like you're in a large hotel. The most important thing is you want to make sure that the people you care about are well attended and my husband has not ever had a problem having somebody help him when needed or get the right therapy so that he can move forward and progress in his recovery. The staff has all been very kind and attentive. The facility is very clean. Unless it's a newly built facility, it's going to show some age, but it's very well-appointed. It's decorated for the season. It's very pleasant. It's lovely. I know I'm talking only about externals, but that's what's important for them. It's attractive. They have bingo and card games. I would have thought they would have more outings, but they don't. They're a good value. They didn't ask for the money down for the activity fees that the other place was charged at $2500. We didn't have to pay for that. We only had to pay a security deposit, but that's refundable based on the condition of the property. So I feel pretty secure in my husband getting that back.

My mother is in Lasata Senior Living Campus. I haven't been able to go inside at all, but she's happy there. I chose that location because it's centrally located to her family. Right now she's in a single room, but she'll be moving to a double room. They have activities, they have outings, and indoor gaming. She will also be involved in therapy. They have a courtyard that has benches, they have plenty of parking, and stuff like that. The staff has been really good and helpful. The place looks nice from the outside, it's not a new building, but they've done some remodeling inside.

Lasata only had a small amount of memory care. They were very friendly, very nice, and very well organized, but it wasn’t a good match for when a patient gets worse and needs different types of memory care. They sounded very nice, very enthusiastic, and well trained. They had a bike that one of the staff members could ride around with a couple of residents sitting in the front. It seemed like they are always looking for different things to do. I was there for a little while, and everybody seemed happy. It was very pretty.

Lasata was brand new, clean, and very appealing. I liked it a lot. The person was very informative and very nice. They had daily activities and programs. The dining area looked fine. They had a full beauty salon that did manicures, hair, and sometimes have a day for free manicures. It was very comfortable.

Lasata was a great place. I would probably move my mother there, but the way they set up the payments was not advantageous for the family. However, it was a very nice facility. I liked that they were not just assisted living and had memory care and the next level beyond assisted living. So, if you got older and could not be by yourself in the assisted living, they had those care facilities right on the same campus. It was nice and out in the country with very nice sceneries. Everything was well maintained, and the staff was very nice and seemed qualified.

Lasata Crossings has independent and assisted living in two separate buildings. The assisted living was updated and the rooms were marvellous, clean, beautiful, home like and well kept. The staff in both areas is very attentive. They invited us for lunch and they had good food. The independent living section is a bit older but they are in the process of remodelling each apartment. The apartments are spacious and clean. It's a fabulous facility. The staff is well educated, they shared with me their backgrounds. They have a lot of activities for everyone. They don't have a high turnover rate because they're very nice but you have to live in Ozaukee County to transfer there.

During my great grandma's time at the nursing home I visited her frequently. My mother and I went pretty much every Sunday. While my great grandmother was at this facility I also spent time volunteering in the Alzheimer unit. The facility was always clean. There was also a large amount of natural light that was let in through huge walls of windows. There was a court yard that the residents were able to enjoy if possible. One thing my great grandmother always really loved were the birds they had outside. There was a big area of birdfeeders that really brightened the day for many people. Facility staff was friendly and mostly caring. That is not to say we didn't have bad experiences, but overall it was a positive. The largest complaint from my great grandma was the quality of food. Although I was never present for meals, it did seem like all patients were provided adequate nutrition.

Visted often and the staff was not consistant, a lot of pool help and turn over. Caused some stress on the relative who was there. County owned facility. More stress over the county looking into privitizing some of the care/food. Relative moved to new care facilty. Much more institutional than was needed at the time.
