My grandma was at the Bay for almost 5 months. She had, had a fall and was placed in the Bay so she could be rehabilitated. They never got her out of bed to learn how to walk again, which was the main focus of her being there. She was told that she would be able to go home after 6 months. They had told us that she had a bed sore the size of a quarter and when she was sent to the ICU the doctors told us it was the size of two fists. We visited her multiple times and the staff was rude. She was never taken out of bed. The rooms are crammed and after my grandma go sick she was sent to another room and we were not able to see in but it didnt matter because she was sick for 2 weeks. She had been throwing up and couldn't eat. But the social worker would not give us power of attorney so we couldn't have her sent to the hospital. At night they would give her pain pills and medication she had not previously been on and she would always be groggy and tired. Any time she complained the nurses did nothing. When she pressed her call light no one would come. And half the time she couldn't find it. We had to buy my grandma a phone because she wasn't able to use the phones in the facility. They would never charge her phone or give it to her when it rang. Most the time they had the ringer turned off. She was sent up to the hospital to late for them to do anything and she has passed away. The place is dirty on the outside I can't imagine what its like on the inside.

The facility took care of mom with love and caring. The staff there really care about the residents. The Administration was excellent. The therapy team worked so hard with mom. We thought she would be there permanently but they did such a great job, she was able to return home.
