We liked that Country Terrace of Wisconsin in Black River Falls was very spacious, open, and had good-sized apartments or rooms. The people there were friendly and welcoming; that was good. It was clean, neat, and well-kept. The staff member who gave me the tour was very informative, we were impressed. The facility and the grounds looked nice, and it's in a nice location. They did have a beauty salon where someone came in a couple of times a month. There are activities, and I think there was also age-appropriate exercise available. It was more intimate. There were fewer people there.

We visited the Country Terrace Black River Falls facility in Wis., while researching possible assisted living facilities for our aunt to live in. The outside was very nicely maintained. The grounds offered easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day. All of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. The foyer was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. The facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture. The seniors can easily socialize, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. Seniors are encouraged to can use the exercise room at any time and also go on daily walks. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered several times each week. There is also instruction available to use the equipment. The residents go on many trips into town and the surrounding areas to eat at casual and fine restaurants and enjoy the many cultural events offered. Healthy snacks were offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. All private rooms featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings, with natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. The residents looked very content in their living environment and were well cared for by kind and attentive staff.
