We went to Countryside Assisted Living. It's a beautiful setting because it is out in the country. It is more a nursing home as opposed to an assisted living. The residents don't leave their homes. Many of them are bedbound. It's a beautiful facility and the people are really friendly. The rooms are nice. They all have a private -- all the rooms have an exterior door as well to go to the courtyard. They're not encouraged to use it. I think it's more at this point for emergency use if you need to evacuate the building. For future use, it could be developed into something, and I think they might have plans in the future to do that. They're constantly working on the place, and it's very secure, very pleasant, pretty, and out in the countryside. They have an outdoor area the families can come and visit. It's very homey. The original part of it is an older home that was actually converted and then it's been added on, and it's kept that home feel to it. So it's very nice. We did not eat there, but we got there right after lunchtime and it smells delicious. We got a little peek into the kitchen and they have a nice, beautiful, commercial kitchen, even though it's a home, and it's beautiful.

Countryside is very close to Martinsburg. It was newer, has better layout, nicely landscaped and very clean. The house was brighter, more open and homey. The rooms were very large. They had a bed, a chair, dressers and a huge space. The kitchen was a brand new, commercial kitchen. All the food was made in the dining room. It was a large dining room with several long tables. They had a sitting room and a great, big family room. The families are responsible for transportation but the staff was very friendly. I do know they had holiday get-togethers.
