My mom has been in Rose Pointe Assisted Living for three weeks now. The community seems nice. She had problems with her roommate, to begin with. The girl had gotten drunk, there were some words said, and they ended up moving this other girl out right away into another room. Other than that, my mom seems to like the community. It seems nice. The management there is very nice. They were thorough about everything. The dining area is nice. The reason why we chose this community was that we had to get my mom into a place ASAP, and they were the only ones that would take Medicaid. It's an older building, but they are in the process of remodeling it all. My mom ended up getting one of the newer rooms, and it seems nice. The grounds are nice, too. They have a lot of flowers and stuff like that, which my mom loves. It seems like they're on top of things.

Horrible horrible...my mother has been at this community for almost 4 years...the worst I have seen this. No working kitchen since November 2023. Mobile kitchen since then...housekeeping sucks and in December of 2023 my mother was moved to another room due to mold....still has not been completed or even attempted by the owner nor the management nor the executive director....unsatisfied do not send your parents or any elderly there.

I toured Rose Pointe Assisted Living. The staff was awesome. She has even gone out of her way to help me sort out information with other things. She has been willing to help me even with us not going with her like putting my mother on the waitlist for a single room even though that's not going to open up. She's answered all my questions. She even scanned paperwork in for me, so I would have a digital version of the stuff. She went out of her way in ways that you could not imagine. She gave me a nice big full tour of the place, too. I like that facility, I like their rooms, and I like the amount of space that you have and stuff. They have outdoor spaces, but the outdoor areas are a little bit smaller.

I toured Rose Pointe Assisted Living. It was kind of run down, but they were scheduled for renovations and a complete remodel. I have a friend who lives there right now, too, but they haven't been open to visitors, so I haven't visited her. The Medicaid people were supposed to have submitted an assessment before the tour was scheduled, but my case worker did not do that, and she was out of town at the time when we were there. The manager was not very impressed, and they said that I wouldn't be a good fit, but they didn't really give a very good tour. I was not really impressed, but I liked the location. It was right by my doctors and the hospitals, so the location was good for me. The facility was clean. They just didn't give me a very thorough tour, but I liked some of the things. The dining room was nice, and I liked the laundry facility where you're able to do your own laundry if you wanted to, because I've had family in nursing homes where they were always losing their clothes in the laundry and never got them back. The staff was very nice. I talked to some of the residents who were in the public area, and they said it was a very friendly place and that their staff is very nice, too. There was parking but not really any places to walk around that you could see. I tried to get them to show me the yard, but they didn't have time for that.

Rooms were adequate. The staff can be downright nasty, to each other and to the residents. MIL said she couldn't handle being around some of the employees and she said she was scared due to the open drug use of some of the employees and all the anger. She enjoyed most of the other residents and the activities they did.

I visit Rose Pointe regularly, at different times and different days. Without exception, I have found my relative to be receiving excellent care. The staff know her and know her needs. The staff have gone out of their way to meet the changing needs of my family member, which is crucial with the elderly. Rooms are spacious, very clean, food is very good, and different activities are available. There are outside areas where residents enjoy some sunshine. When the time comes for hospice, I would like my relative to stay there.

We were very happy with our tour at Rose Pointe. They offered a lot more care for your money. The rooms were of nice size. They have a very nice dining area. The residents seemed very happy. I was very impressed with the staff; they were very friendly, and helpful. They offer more on the base rate for what you are getting. They have three meals, and they also have all sorts of activities. They have games, entertainment, and specialty activity rooms. They really have a lot to do for people at this facility. It is not a brand-new place, but it is well-maintained, and is a good value.
