My mom moved into Normandy Park Senior Living today. It was a very nice, beautiful place. They assessed her, and hopefully she will get what she needs. It's kept up very well, the people are very nice there, and the staff was very nice and helpful. They had bingo, puzzles, and an egg toss. They have a really huge rec room, washers and dryers, a big lounge, and some TVs. It was very comfortable. It all looked clean, and it smelled good when they were preparing food. They have a great-big garden area outside with flowing water.

That’s exactly the appeal of this “tucked away community” south of Seattle and nearby Burien, Des Moines and Seatac. We’re close to shops, restaurants, top medical facilities and recreational opportunities. We are minutes from Sea-Tac International Airport and Light Rail.

I visited Normandy Park Senior Living. It was well-kept and clean. The rooms were pretty nice, but they wouldn't be able to accommodate my situation. They should accommodate wheelchair patients more, and the walk-in showers should be bigger. The food was pretty good, but it could be better. For the amount of money they charge to live there, they should be able to feed the people there a lot better than what they do. The staff was very helpful and very nice.

I toured Normandy Park Senior Living. They were very helpful. They showed us around. Everything was fine. It was clean. They have a fitness center, a movie room, and a dining room. The staff were very helpful and very friendly.

I went to look at Normandy Park Senior Living. I liked that it was close by, but that was it. I did not like this place. The staff was friendly but didn't have the heart in it. They need a paint job and redo the carpet. The laundry room looked like it was somebody's closet room. It didn't look like a professional laundry room. It just reeked of that the last time you painted it was probably 1980 something. The outdoor was okay. They only have one elevator for the entire facility. If you're close to the elevators, you don't have to walk so far. The staff was trying to be nice, and he called afterward. He was a great person but in the wrong place to work.

I did a tour of Normandy Park Senior Living. It seems to be more of a place for assisted living than independent living. I had that feeling that it wasn't geared toward independent living, as much as it was toward assisted living. I saw three of their apartments. I saw their dining area, the outdoor area where they do their exercise, and their crafts and activities room. I dont know if they have separate places for Independent and Assisted Living. I think you stay in the same apartment, and they just change your services. I don't think they move you to another place.

Normandy Park Senior Living is nicely organized, clean, and they're well-attuned to the memory care needs of the individual. I just noticed that they had two different sitting rooms for the folks, one with a TV, and one with games and entertainment, and stuff. The tour was nicely done by the staff and I was greeted by someone at the receptionist desk, that was nice, and everyone was kind.

I have been to Normandy Park several times. A friend of mine was there. It's a very nice place. I wasn't there when they had the virus, so they had entertainment, and they had things for the people to do. They had a very nice dining area, and the rooms were nice. Normandy Park was very nice. The staff was very good. Everybody was very good there. The place was very clean, and very nice. It's all brand new, it's a new place, and it's a nice set up.

Normandy Park had call buttons all over the room. They were everywhere. They had them in the bathroom, they had them next to the shower, and they had them next to the sink. It was a very nice atmosphere. The rooms were really nice. Some people had moved out, so they had put new rugs and new flooring in. The place looked nice and refreshing. My mother-in-law loved that they had a hairdresser there. The staff member who assisted me was nice and she was trying sell me her units. However, my mother-in-law didn't like the studio apartment because it was too small. Everything seemed to be polished, really nice, and sharp.

The Facility is bright and comfortable and meals are wonderful. The Staff, though, is what makes NPSL fantastic. They remember my Mothers favorite salad dressing and general preferences. When hairdressers were not able to operate, Staff curled my Moms hair for her. Staff support and enable Residents with compassion and kindness that is comforting to both the Resident and Family. NPSL is a slice of heaven on earth for Individuals and their Families needing Assisted Living.

Caring staff that understand the unique needs of my mom. They truly get to know their residents and their families. So friendly and thoughtful! Also, they follow all appropriate protocols to ensure the health and safety of all the residents and staff. We really appreciate them.

I love the interaction at Normandy Park. I was in skilled nursing where you keep your door open and there's always somebody looking in and checking on you and I miss that here. However, I love everything else about Normandy Park. I haven't gotten to know a lot of people because of this lockdown. We can't get out. However, we have a beautiful dining room, and we have lots of activities. There are 8 or 9 activities a day. Food is goo, too. The place is always clean and they keep our apartments pretty clean. They come once a week to do dusting and vacuuming. However, they charge every little thing, which I really don't like. Every time they come into my room they charge.

My husband is in Normandy Park Assisted Living and things are going well. We like that all of the staff is very interactive and everyone is encouraged to be out and around. It felt like it was a good fit for him. The routine of three meals a day suits him really well. He really hasn't complained. They have church services, organized activities, they make cookies, play bingo, and dominoes. They offer transportation to doctors' appointments and to go shopping. Their address is Normandy Park, but they're closest to Burien, which has a lot of new restaurants to offer, as well as the standard things. We had a really great tour. It's great seeing everybody interact with our tour director and the people were engaged and active. Everything is wonderfully clean and neat. There's always something going on there.

My mother-in-law moved into Normandy Park and so far, it's been very good. They've been very helpful. My mom had to give up a lot of furniture since her unit was much smaller, obviously. She wasn't the easiest person to deal with through all this but they have been very good. She has a stable of about six different ladies who assist her with various things and they've been really understanding and good at getting her out for meals and getting her involved in bridge. She finally started getting out this week and she's doing a lot better, so we've been very happy with the care she's been getting so far. Every time she has called, they've been available. She hasn't had complaints, so that's remarkable. It's a smaller community and there are some amenities that they don't have, but that's fine. The staff has really been wonderful. The food is excellent and is one of the things weve been very happy with. My mom has been very erratic with her eating and now she's eating and likes the food. The facilities are good and clean. The rooms are studio apartments with small kitchenettes. The value seems to be really good so far.

Normandy Park seemed like a very clean and organized community. There was a room to do crafts and things to do upstairs on the 2nd floor. I saw a studio room that was furnished and looked very nice. The dining area was very nice -- not too formal, not too casual. I like the setting.

We chose Normandy Park for my mom, and so far it has been great. The people are really nice and my mom is pretty comfortable. The meals are excellent. Everybody is coming up to her and saying hi. Her room is very convenient, and she likes it a lot. It has easy access to everything. The whole place is really clean. They also accept pets, which is a big plus.

We really liked Normandy Park Senior Living because it was clean, very well organized, and had everything we needed. I liked size of the rooms because they were a little bigger than some of the ones in other places I've seen. The staff seemed very pleasant.

We didn’t like Normandy Park at all because of its location, and when we drove in, we didn’t care for how it looked. It’s kind of dreary. Honestly, although the salesperson was very nice, she was pushy and aggressive. We didn’t see any residents out and about.

My mother is at Normandy Senior Living. Unfortunately, she had an accident and is right now in a rehab center, but hopefully she'll be getting out of there and going back to Normandy. I think the staff is wonderful. A lot of the staff has been there for 17 years, and they are all very caring for the most part. They are all different cultures, and they are the cultures that really care for their grandparents and the elderly, and I can tell that in the way they take care of her. It's very sweet and very hands-on. The social director there is wonderful; I can't speak more highly for him. It is great there. It was remodeled maybe 11 years ago, so it looks really fresh and beautiful. She has a one-bedroom apartment that is so nice with a huge bathroom with a roll-in shower, a nice sized bedroom, and a nice sized living room. The other people that are there are wonderful, and they have a lot of social activities. The feeling that I get there is that everyone is happy to be there, and some of the people have been living there for eight years or more, so that tells me a lot.

I guess my mother likes everything at Normandy Park. The staff is welcoming, no problem at all with anybody that we have encountered. She has a very nice apartment that has a bathroom, a bedroom, and dining room; it is big enough for one person. The dining room is very good and lovely from what I saw. It’s very well operated; it’s very nice and clean. The rooms are lovely; everything is nice and clean and well-maintained. Everybody that’s in there were all very happy.

The outside of the facility was very nice and well landscaped. There is ample parking for guests. Inside, there is a comfortable seating area filled with couches and chairs and a majestic fireplace. The staff was friendly as well as knowledgeable. The residents appeared happy, active and entertained. There was a wide array of activities that were geared toward all levels of senior mobility and ability. The dining area of Normandy Park Assisted Living felt more like a restaurant with an innovative menu and multiple food choices for each meal. The table setting was set correctly with the servers appearing to be educated with proper food serving etiquette. The decor, while nice, felt muted and motel like rather than a comfortable home. The rooms were designed very cohesively to take into account seniors mobility with plenty of emergency pull chords located throughout. The bathroom had a very large shower with a sitting area and retractable shower head. The price is more than other assisted living facilities in the area.
