My mother has moved into Avamere Moses Lake. They've been great to work with and very helpful in organizing things to get my mom there. The place is beautiful, immaculate, and clean. We had our first meal there and the food was awesome. I've had a lot of good feedback from other people not just ones that live there, but others in the community. My mom seemed happy with the place, and how friendly everybody was there and making her feel welcome. She's in a studio apartment and it has a nice big bathroom and a nice, big window for her to look out. It fits her needs perfectly. She has to use a wheelchair part of the time and a walker. Her shower is wheelchair accessible that way. They have the emergency pull things in the bathroom and the living room by where you put your bed. They also give you a pendant to wear for help within the building itself. They have a lady who comes and does exercise with a group of people. In the rooms, they have a microwave and a nice-sized fridge. They don't let them do any cooking in their own rooms other than microwaves. They have a beautiful cafeteria area. They have a little seating area where you can have a Bible study or get-together. They schedule activities every day. They have a big calendar that they put up for different things for the residents to do. They incorporate things for them. After looking at other places, I was impressed with them. The staff has all been great The food was good and had nice-sized portions. I felt like I had cooked it myself. Everything is made for wheelchairs or walkers and there's nothing like skinny narrow to get around. It's decorated nicely. They have an elevator which the other place where my mom lived did not. They have stairs or elevators, so people who can get around well can do that too.

Had a great tour today with Laura, she was very attentive to our needs and you just have to love that southern accent. She showed us a couple different rooms, they were very bright and cheerful and you just have to see the coke room it's a fun step back in time. Next we went to the restaurant and the pictures on line don't do it justice and the food was great. While we were eating the executive director Jody stopped by to see if we had any questions for her. We told her how pleased we were and that everyone from the receptionist to the wait staff were very pleasant. We had a couple more places to see but after lunch we talked and decided we found the place that mom would feel at home. Thanks everyone for making this a easy transition.
