I was there for about 4 months. I was going through a hard time and the Beehive helped me adjust and helped me with my needs. Maike, one of the caregivers is exceptional. She treated me like family.

We visited Beehive in McCleary. We didn't really look into it a lot because mom kind of already decided she didn't want to be there. It's an older building, and the only room that was available for us to even go look at was one that was right off the dining room. You had to walk through the dining room to even get to it, and we weren't really excited about that, either. I can't say that it's bad because we never really got a chance to look at any other places. I just know it's an older building. The room was clean, but we didn't really look at it a whole lot, just because mom decided she didn't want to. I know a lot of people are happy with it. It was one of the first ones that we looked at about two years ago. The dining area was clean, but it was an older one. They didn't show us any amenities. From what I gleaned from it, basically everything was done in that dining room. The dining room was also the room where they played games. We really never went and looked at anything. When they told us that that was the only room available, mom didn't even really care to go in and look at it, because she didn't want to have a room that was right off the dining room. We never went in the memory care because we didn't have any reason to, but it looked a little bit newer and nicer. It's all one level, and I know the memory care was completely fenced in. There were walking areas.

Beehive is a 1-story community. They're very good. They have assisted living where my aunt is, and they have independent living for people who don't need all that watching over and care. The places are very clean. My aunt's room is always clean. They make sure that she has paper toilets and toilet tissue. They just do all kinds of good things for the residents. The price includes everything but your telephone. They give them manicures, they cut their toenails, and they entertain them. They play Bingo quite a bit and the residents that are able to go out on a small bus go out for lunch to a nearby restaurant.
