My mom moved into Sound Vista Village a couple of weeks ago. So, we're kind of new there, but for the most part, everything is going well. I like the smaller community, and it seems like the level of nursing and care that my mom is getting is much better than where we were. The staff is great. Everybody is in the mood all the time. Big smile on their face. So life is good. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was good. They have all kinds of good stuff. They've got arts and crafts. They've got a book club. They have happy hour groups where people come in and sing.

We toured Sound Vista Village. It's very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a library. They have a lounge and all sorts of different things in there.

My aunt moved into Sound Vista Village. It was one of the first places I toured. And the great part about it was they gave me a great foundation because I had no idea what these elder care facilities were like. Penny was the lady who helped me. I was paying attention to her and she knew all the names of the residents. They knew her name, she knew people's schedules. They let me talk to the residents and everyone had glowing reviews on how they loved living there. I toured other facilities and none of them compared to Sound Vista Village because it feels like they've created an environment that's like home and friendships for these people. They do so much interaction with them and the attention to detail. There are tons of activities and they care about their mental health. They have a bus that takes them shopping. She saw how much freedom she had there. Everybody is so welcoming to her, but they also take care of her. They give her the liberty to be herself. She has her own apartment. She can come to class if she wants to. She can have coffee, juice, or tea anytime, day or night. She can walk inside the building so she can get exercise and they have the exercise program every day. And then she can walk around the building on a flat path. And they keep emphasizing - mental health, physical health, autonomy, and being able to have dignity and respect. And this is one of the facilities that I found on my tours that granted that to them. The building was remodeled all the way through and it's easy access for seniors. We're getting way more amenities than what we were paying for in private care. They're so accommodating regarding the food. If they don't like something or if they need food that's in between mealtimes, the kitchen staff makes it for them.

We've decided to choose Sound Vista Village for my mother-in-law because they would take Medicaid after her money runs out whereas a lot of them didn't. All the staff had been there a long time, so they did not have a high turnover. All the people there were very friendly, and their residents looked very happy. We liked that they had walking trails that were paved. It was a very safe and nice area. The rooms were not big but they were very nice. The one thing I didn't care for was that they didn't have air conditioning, so we had to get our own stand-up air conditioner. But besides that, everything was good. All of their bills would be pretty much included like cable TV and internet. The only thing that was not included was the phone.

Sound Vista Village was very clean, organized, and friendly. The people seemed happy. The lady that toured me around was open and answered all my questions professionally. I saw three different apartments. I liked the one bedroom the best because it was bigger and seemed more like a home. The other two were two different studio apartments. They were very nice, but I just couldn't see my dad living there. They were small, but they were all very nice for what they were. They supply refrigerators and a microwave inside the unit. One thing my dad didn't like was they didn't have a washer and dryer inside the apartment. These appliances were in the hallway (although they could have the option of having the staff do their clothes).

We toured Sound Vista Village. That one was really pretty and surrounded by trees. However, since my brother has stage 4 cancer, and so we don't know how long he's going to last, we needed a place that easily goes through different levels of care, and I don't feel that Sound Vista Village had enough staff or anything set up for my brother. It was a beautiful place, but they seemed to have only one kind of nurse on hand who seemed a little bit overworked if someone required a higher level of care. They had a beautiful courtyard and gardens where people could garden. They had just put up an outside covered area that would be nice. It was a beautiful facility; it was just the level of care that we were concerned with there. It's in an area where it's not too far from grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping and all kinds of things, so that would be a bonus over the other place.

I went to look at Sound Vista Village. The location is beautiful. The layout of the facility is great. It's just one level. They had a room that was very close to the dining area, so my mom didn't have to walk very far. The hallway is kind of circular, so it's going to be tough for her to get lost because the only doors that are unlocked are the ones right up front, where there are plenty of people all the time. They have a spa and salon there, which is nice. Many of the employees have been there for 10, 20, or 30 years, so that was nice to hear. They're very friendly and thorough. The rooms are beautiful. There's plenty of storage. My mom will have an inside room, which means that she's got a sliding glass door that opens up into a garden area or sitting area. The introduction has been wonderful. It's all remodeled.

I plan to move into Sound Vista Village. It's on one floor. It's accessible for motorized transports. The units appear to be well maintained and adequate in size. The staff is very friendly. I had lunch there and the food was well prepared. At this time, the residents are basically self quarantined. They take their meals in their units rather than do communal dining. It's an attractive building. It's well designed and well maintained. It's in a semi-secluded area.

My mother is doing really well at Sound Vista Village. There are lots of activities going on there. I think the food is great, and she's satisfied with it. There's a big TV screen, a big piano, they have people coming in, they have fingernail painting, bible studies, and bingo; she's never bored. Her room is kept clean, it's a good size for her, it's a little bit older, but it seems to be alright. The people are very friendly, it's a small community (which my mom likes), and getting to know people and interacting with them has been really great.

My stepmother lived here for 3.5 years and only moved recently because she needed advanced memory care. The homelike atmosphere, exceptional staff at all levels, kind, consistent care plan delivery, food quality and overall cleanliness combined to make it exceed all expectations we had at move-in. I can recommend it without reservation!
