I am a resident of Holiday Peninsula. They are all brand new. They just remodeled the whole building. We added brand-new hardwood floors and carpeting in the bedrooms. I got a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit with a balcony, granite countertops, and a small refrigerator. The housekeeping, the cooks, everything's been great. Everybody's been helpful, and I'm loving it. They let me move in before they even got the payment, which was wonderful. The food here is fabulous. Last night, I had a smothered steak and mushroom gravy, cooked to my order, and a baked potato salad. I had ice cream for dessert, and it was fantastic. They cook it to your order. They've got things all day, every day. They've got movies every night. They've got outings for shopping. They have everything. You can pick and choose what you want to do daily. They've got an office room for you, gardening, and arts and crafts. They've got sewing and a book club, and they have a band coming in every Friday night, providing music and dancing. You name it, they have it.

I really liked the one-bedroom that Peninsula offers. They were very spacious, and it would have been perfect for my mom and dad. It was just an independent facility, not so much an assisted. They cannot move from an independent into assisted. We would have to move them out of that facility into another one; we don't want to do that, but the place was just beautiful. The one-bedroom was set up really nice, and you get to see what it would look like. The facility was also very clean and kept well. There's a lot of activities, and the dining area was very clean. The lady who showed me around was very nice and very helpful. She even gave me ideas of questions to ask when I am looking at other retirement places. They also were very concerned the moment you walk in the door to make sure that nobody was sick coming in.

Peninsula was great. It was very nice. It was beautiful inside. Their chairs are the other round, curved leather chairs, and if it's a hot day, your clothes would stick to them. Other than that, it was really nice. Nice dining room. The rooms were nice and quiet, especially the ones they showed me. They also mentioned to me that there's a big shopping area that's close by, and that's really convenient. That was great because the food was excellent in that area. There are a lot of restaurants. It was a really nice place. They had everything. They have a lot of card games and different activities to keep you busy. The staff members were nice. They have a pretty good size library. It's pretty much a modern building. It's a newer building and they have a lot of nice things in there. They have raised gardens in the back where you could grow your own stuff. They have of course bus tours, and that was awful nice to have. They have a good size dining area. It was more like a dining room style. It was pretty homey. It's a big place. There's a lot of rooms and a lot of people.

I have just moved into Peninsula, and from what I've seen it is comfortable, friendly, and nice. They furnish all their meals, and if you are not able to go to the dining room, they bring it up to you. Once a week housekeeping comes in and changes your towels and linens. They use their own linens, which is good, because I had a king-size bed, and now I have a full-size one, so I would have had to go buy all new ones. They come in, make the bed, and do light housekeeping. They have a library, an exercise room, and all sorts of group meetings, if you want to attend them. The people are super friendly. There is a maintenance guy on call to put in or take out racks in the closet if you need. It's a great experience, and I can't say anything bad about it. It was really clean and nice, and they had good décor.

Peninsula was great. The rooms were very nice, the residents were very friendly, and it was very clean. The food was very good, and they have a large selection of entrees. The dining area was decorated nicely, they had printed menus, and the people seemed pretty happy. They have field trips, games, and an exercise program. My mother liked that they can have their dogs there. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided a great follow-up. The outdoor garden was very nice.

My friend is now at Peninsula. It is beautiful. She loves it. Everything is fantastic. She said that she wished she had moved there much sooner. The staff members are fantastic. They're very accommodating. My friend is extremely happy. The only problem is that they just got a new cook and he needs to know how to make things moist, because their food gets dry. They have so many things, like they watch movies, and they play games. On Groundhog's Day, I was there with them and they had a scavenger hunt for the groundhog. They have some bible study classes and field trips, and they have a game room with a pool table in it. They have exercise classes, coloring classes, bingo, and cards. The place is beautiful.

We went to the Peninsula and Mom really liked it. It was beautiful, and the people were super friendly. We had lunch, the lunch was really good, the chef came out to meet us, and she really liked it. The one we looked at was a studio. She will have to downsize significantly, and I think we could make it work. It's a very nice and very clean facility.

Though our tour was late, Roberta was helpful showing us the room options. Because I had talked to someone else @ mothers wants, we lost time in viewing studios that she had no interest in.I would recommend tours be limited to one hour tops, as we had come from 50 miles away, so on the road for an hour, toured the building for an 1 1/2 hr, then did paperwork for an hr. We left after 4 hours very tired. Lunch was provided after three hours, but we were fatigued by then and still had paperwork then an hour on the road. We missed some info as she and I were both wearing out.

I like Peninsula. The staff has been great at doing follow-up with me just to see how things are going with my mother-in-law. She called me again the other day. The appearance was wonderful with cruise ship style. It transitions over into assisted living, which was important because I wanted something where you can go from one to the other. They offered quite a bit of activities. The dining room looked like a formal dining room area. They had a beauty salon and a workout room area.

Peninsula was terrific. The staff was great. They were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. It was very convenient and very close to shopping. The grounds were very pretty, clean, and well done. It accommodated people who used walkers and wheelchairs. The apartments were very nice and well done. It was small enough for a person to take care of, but comfortable enough that you would not feel like you were in a tiny room. They offered breakfast, lunch, and a light dinner. They had a calendar of activities, and they offered shuttle service.

Peninsula was beautiful and has a full kitchen. You got three meals a day served to you, and it's very clean. The chef comes out to meet, and everybody comes up to meet you.

We will be moving to Peninsula. Everybody looked very friendly. The apartments looked very nice. It was a very good experience. Their dining room is restaurant-style. They have outings quite frequently and in-house exercise classes.

I was able to visit Peninsula, and it seems to have everything I wanted. Their rooms are small, and if you want a bigger room, you have to pay for it. The grounds were well maintained. They offered us a meal, and it was very good. Their calendar was very full of different activities. They have trips to different places. They also have different lectures. They have all kinds of card games.

I was impressed with Peninsula because the staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms were nice. There was a little kitchen, and you can cook in the room. You also could smoke in your rooms there, which I think is kind of different because the smell ruins the whole atmosphere for everybody else. I don't smoke, but I can still smell it. The food was good, and the dining room was good. They have bingo and tours. I did find it secure enough.

We went to the Peninsula, which was probably the biggest facility that we had visited. My dad liked it but the problem was that they didn't have assisted living. It was more of an apartment type dwelling and their apartments were big. However, he needed a little bit more care than that. The staff was courteous, very informative, kind and very welcoming. I would recommend them to others.
