I am/was a resident of this facility

It was a bad experience for me after having surgery. the food was so bad that I lost 11 lbs. in 30 days. For the most part the staff was friendly. But there were some that made you wait to answer your call especially when you needed assisted going to the bathroom. Some of the staff were more interested in flirting, taking breaks and being very rude. The nurses were okay except for one that was lazy and did not respond to you in a timely manner, especially when it was time for your medications. If I ever need a rehab center again I will never use their facility and will not recommend this facility

The front office staff are rude and records refused to take my call when I contacted the office for my mother's medical records. For the exorbitant fees they charge, one would think they would go out of their way to demonstrate better customer service.

Canterbury House is not that good, but it's all we have right now. The staff is nice, and Mom's room is clean and well kept with two beds in it. She does not like the food served to her. They could improve on the size of the rooms because they are really small, and the food could be improved on, as well.

I am a past client of this provider

I was in Canterbury House, and I would not recommend it. The people were nice except for one nurse. She was terrible. I liked everybody there except her. The people in the rehab and the physical therapy department were very nice. It was clean and well-kept, but the food was terrible.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad is at Canterbury House because no one else would take him aside from them. I don’t want him to stay there because I want him to be in a smaller facility that will take care better of him. The staff were not really taking care of him. They do not give him water and he falls out of bed and in his wheelchair. The rooms are clean, but it's not well ventilated. It's dark and stuffy in there all the time. He is going to the hospital on the 23rd and he will not be coming back to this facility. The residents all fit in the hallways and scream for help. It's probably normal for a nursing home, but I don’t like it.
