My friend has moved into Guardian Place. It's very nice. It's a secure building. They check on you every day. They have a lot of nice parking spaces there. It's monitored very well. It's nice and clean. My friend cooks there. They don't have a restaurant there. They have nice activities. They have a beauty parlor and a barbershop. They have a posting board of activities that are going on there. They have different activities every week. She is comfortable with what she is paying.

Moved here in September 2022 - just a month before Fairfield took over. The first thing they did was eliminate the van that took the seniors to the market. Upon renewal this year, I got a $78 increase in rent. Activity selection is minimal. We were getting a newsletter each month - but none received in November nor this month, December. Maintenance staff and residential assistant positions have decreased substantially since this takeover.

The building is designed for maximum noise isolation - with thick ceiling, floors, and walls between units. Bathroom / kitchen flooring, and carpeting, is replaced - and walls repainted - for each new tenant. Individual air, cooling, heating, water are provided - with utilities included in rent. Trash disposal chutes, in separate rooms - kept clean. There's a small laundromat (2 washers and dryers) on each floor - that can be used 7 x 24. The resident of the unit across the hall from the laundromat, on my floor, told me that she never hears anything (no, she has no hearing problem). The staff is great - more like family. Service requests are generally resolved within hours, on the same day. If you're ex military, you'll enjoy watching the military precision in the twice yearly filter replacement and maintenance check. 2 to 4 people - in and out in 60 seconds. Courtesy van with scheduled monthly trips to several different nearby shopping centres. 2 activity rooms / building - and various activities scheduled. It's a 5 to 10 minute stroll to 7 different nearby GRTC Bus Stops. A dozen or so intriguing small restaurants and shoppes, within 15 minutes walk. I moved hare almost a year ago - and I have no intentions of moving elsewhere. Ever. There is a waiting list - for good reason.

For the first time in my life I was looking at living alone. I wasn't sure if I could do it, but in looking for places to live I was given the opportunity to visit and tour Guardian Place. I knew immediately that it was the place to try. I was not disappointed, and I wasn't really alone. The facility is very clean, well maintained, and the staff is very good. Over 60 and unsure, living at the Guardian Place provided times for entertainment, movies, games, a good Food Bank day once a week, and a ride to go shopping. Looking for a good place to be, talk with Miss Joyce or Miss Tammy at Guardian Place.

I am staying at the Guardian Place. I chose it because of the convenience for transportation because I do not drive. It has very good amenities. You just have to pay one rent and everything is included at your final menu table. The staff is very good, very pleasant, and I have no problems with the staff. Whenever you need anything like maintenance, just call and they will come and take care of it. They have social media programs. They celebrate everybody's birthdays once a month. They have movie nights and they do take you to grocery stores and some of the shopping malls. You can have transportation that will take you nice time for boating. You can register to a ride a van that will take you to your boating site.

I went to visit a friend at The Guardian (Guardian Place). It was a beautiful place; however, it didn't have like a restaurant floor. The way my friend has her area set up, she has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in there. She has a daughter that lives with her who takes care of her. When we came in, the facility looked very clean. When we got to her apartment, it was beautiful. She has enough room. She has a nice-sized bedroom and a smaller bedroom. She has a bathroom in her bedroom. Also she has a little kitchenette right off the living room. They do most of their own cooking.

I just moved into the Guardian Place a couple of weeks ago. It is a nice place. The atmosphere is good, the rooms are clean, and the people are outgoing and fun. They have people come and do the work if you need it right away. If you call, they'd do anything for you. It really is a pretty good place to be.
