Morningside House of Leesburg is well maintained. It's a nice facility. The attendants and the nurses have been very capable. However, my friend is bedridden and she can't walk. I think they're having challenges with the difficulties that my friend is having. That's the negative side of it. Other than that, she's happy with the people there and with the facilities. Because she's now bedridden, she can't manage her own oxygen. Nobody has been able to do that for her. Sometimes, especially on weekends or holidays, when she makes a call for help, it takes hours for somebody to get to her. During the week, they seem to be adequately managed. It seems to be on weekends and holidays when they come up short. All in all, I think it's a nice facility. If they could walk, I think it'd be perfect. The problem is, she cannot. There's nothing special about the facility, but it's fine. It gives her what she needs. They will bring her food, but she has to pay a fee. One of the other problems they have is when they put her in a wheelchair. She's been in other facilities where they seem to be more capable, and more professional about how she gets put into a wheelchair. It kind of scares her a little bit the way they do it. So, she's not excited when they come to put her in a wheelchair to take her somewhere because she doesn't trust them. It sounds like it would be a simple thing, but it's not. My friend seems to be OK with the food. I think it is a good value. The issues that she is having don't reflect on the value that they contribute. It's just she is on the extreme end of the scale of what they can handle. The challenges that they seem to have in taking care of her at certain times like lifting her, doing her oxygen, and things like that, I'm not sure they're prepared for these kinds of issues. Other than that, if she didn't have those issues, I think this place would be fine. I've seen the activities room and the dining area, and they're clean, neat, and nice.

The tour at Morningside House of Leesburg was fine. Mary Beth was very friendly. The staff seemed very friendly. It was definitely more cozy. It was smaller, darker, some people may like that, but for me, I just felt a little oppressive, like a little dark. But they did have some amenities, they did have transportation. I like that they had more care options, because it was more of assisted living. The restaurant area was very cute; it felt like it was cozy. Everything seems clean enough. I like that. They had some birds in the entryway. It wasn't as spacious. It didn't have as much natural lighting. So there are some things, like the feel of it when I walked in, which I didn't like as much, but the people were kins, so it was OK. They have a small pass area to work around, like some awnings to walk out on in the back.

I really like the vibe I got at Morningside House of Leesburg. I saw lots of engagement, lots of activities, and residents enjoying the outside area. I liked the director a lot, and the couple of the rooms that I saw. They were both a studio and a one-bedroom. They were well-designed and clean. I think they've done some updating, and it looked really good. They have bingo and hands-on activities. One of their cute little activities was building a sandcastle with some different materials, but not sand. I thought that was a clever idea. They have everything from church services to arts and crafts, to games and movie nights.

My mother moved into the Morningside House of Leesburg. The good thing is they offer assisted living, plus they offer four levels of care. Normally, you may have to go to just over a long-term facility, but this one was more flexible. That was one good feature that we did like about that. The staff members were very accommodating, very flexible. They gave us various room options that they had available. We toured at least four or five different rooms. We struck it pretty good here with multiple openings of rooms available to choose from, so that was a good thing. My mom was at a rehab facility, and they came over to the rehab facility in-person to evaluate her to see what level of care she would need. They were very friendly. They have a game room where they do come in, and people are participating and doing things. They have a big whiteboard, and they're playing games. They got a TV area also where people watch shows, and they do Sunday service where you can watch your local listings or whatever on TV. People gather around for that as well, so the combination seemed very, very well. We're very happy with it. Everyone has their own private room with the dorm door closes. You're not separated by a curtain. So it was very nice, and we do like that a lot. We heard a piano playing, and a guy was singing songs or whatever. They were gathered around just listening; people were happy and cheery. They wanted to keep you interactive. They have three floors, and on each floor, it was like a different kind of thing. The main floors got stuff; you can play cards, you got a library to read books, and a little quiet area. So it was much nicer and bigger.

I visited Morningside House of Leesburg for my mom. It was small and very personable. Some of them are just so big, and this one is small but big enough. They have great people, have access to downtown Leesburg, and has plenty of places to gather, and plenty of places to be separate.

I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The staff cares about everyone of their residents and treats them like family. The staff is friendly, caring and knowledgeable. You can tell they love what they’re doing and they’re there to help. I would not hesitate to refer Morningside to a family member!

We visited Morningside of Leesburg, but they only have assisted living. They have an exercise room, and the equipment needed to work out. They have a library, and the public library comes in once or twice a month with large print books and also brings in requests, and whatever else you want. The staff is very nice and they always follow up with you and call back.

My grandfather would be moving to Morningside of Leesburg. It seemed like a nice small community. The person who was there was very friendly. She was able to show us everything that we were interested in looking at. She answered the questions that I came with. The reason why my grandfather selected it actually was because as he required more care, it won't require him to relocate. They would allow you to stay in the same room and would give you which ever level of care you needed at that point. He felt they were adequate, but I thought they were slightly small. He was the one who would actually live there, so whatever he thought would count. My mom ate with him, and she said the food was more than adequate. The dining room felt like going to lunch at a nice restaurant. Most of them were out on a shopping trip at the time that I was there. I did see a whole lot in terms of activities, but the person who arranged the tour for us listed everything that they had set up for the residents. She gave us a monthly calendar, and it looked like there were quite a few options as well as a lot of day trips, which was good for him. I was impressed with how well they were thinking of their residents. They were familiar with their preferences, their interests, and everything. My only concern about the facility is that they did not seem to have quite as much in terms of security for Alzheimer's or memory care issues.
