My aunt is in Rutland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. We chose them because they were willing to take her for a temporary respite for me to give me a little break. They seemed to be the only place in the area that would offer that. The staff has been very accommodating and willing to make changes to make things more comfortable for her. They're very careful about pairing her with a roommate that could be a good match. They're very attentive. She enjoys the food very much. They do some group games, trivia, and movie nights. It's an old building. I think they do very well with what they have. It is a little outdated, but I completely understand how difficult it is to renovate. They do a very good job with cleaning. It's very reasonable and I think they offer a lot of other services like physical therapy, occupational therapy, and they have a dentist that will come in instead of the residents having to go somewhere. They provide a lot of in-home services.

My elderly parent was to be cared for not having long to live. Her care was lacking. She was denied her dignity.

My mom was at Rutland Healthcare for a short time before going back to the hospital. The care that she received was very good. The facility was an old hospital converted into a nursing home, and because it was older, it was not as nice. It was not open and seemed crowded.

Wish that they had better care for their records. They keep losing or misplacing phone numbers.
