Poor response time of my relative, as waiting for bed button nurse took 15-17 minutes. (Happens a lot when I come visiting from POC). Staffing is a concern at times. Lack of experience is huge concern. Facility falls apart on weekends Amanda is off. Administrator fails follow ups.

My mother has Alzheimer's, and they have a small group at Parkview Manor. It is a really good, homey, and clean place, and I like the rooms. She has been there for a couple of months now, and I've been there a couple of times. The dining room is like a family room, but it has enough tables. They have the ladies and men sit in certain tables separately. It looks like they have a well-balanced meal. They are pretty secure, and you can't get in there without a code. I haven't been able to find anything wrong, but they should have more exercises for my mother. She is a totally different person when I put the iPod music on for her. It really makes a big difference. I would recommend them.

My daughter did the research, and she was the one who chose Parkview Manor for my wife. We are getting very good care, and it doesn’t smell like a nursing home. It was more of a family atmosphere, and so far I am pleased. I have access anytime I want. They just welcome me like a member of the family. They call pretty quickly if anything happens; they are very efficient.

Many of the nurses are undertrained and somewhat apathetic when it comes to caring for the patients. There are many residents and this facility and the building itself is fairly old. As far as the actual care went, I would rate it as below average but nothing that would theaten the well-being of the residents; in my granmother's 13 month stay she rarely complained, but when she did her opinion often went ignored by the staff. Some things that bothered her included the quality of the meals and the general attitude of some of the workers. The room she stayed in was clean but very basic, white walls, tile floor, 1 table and a bed. The dining hall was kept sanitary and clen, meals were healthy but lacking the the taste department. Overall I would say the facility is good for low income families looking to keep their loved ones well, but the facility can definitely become depressing after extended periods of time which is why we moved my grandmother to another facility.
