My aunt has been at Walnut Springs. During the pandemic, I didn't have a great deal of opportunity to check them out completely, but they seem to be much better than the last place. The staff seemed very nice and very competent. I haven't seen their food, but she seems to like it. She was underweight when she went in, but she is eating it, so I'm happy with the food. Her window looks out onto a parking lot, and I can't even hang her bird feeder out there, but these are old buildings, so they work with what they got. They have activities, but she is not a joiner, and she doesn't do that. I got to say that these people, even though everybody is vaccinated, my aunt is vaccinated, and all the staff are vaccinated, they are still acting with the highest precautions.

They are the most unwelcoming medical facility i have ever been to. The staff is unprofessional and unhelpful at instructing their own protocols. They never offered any chairs for visits in the beginning at continued not to unless we directly asked for them. My father is actively dying from terminal cancer and he is in this facility. We got the news and started to rush over to attempt to spend and help him as much as possible. The staff was unsympathetic to our situation and explained that only one of us can stay the night with him when both my mom and I don’t live nearby. Being here is honestly the worst and my father agrees. The qualities of this building as well is not the best but i tried looking past that it was just the staff that tied it all together. Nobody wants to be surrounded by unfriendly medical staff when your relative is actively dying. Don’t even think about coming here.
