My first impression of Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch was that it was beautiful. They do a good job of keeping up the room and the common areas. Overall, the staff that I've dealt with have been highly professional and caring, though some were standoffish. My loved one says they treat him badly, but that's him, and I haven't seen any of that. The staff is doing their job, it's just that my loved one is difficult to work with. They have activities every day at the facility, and then they can sign up and go for field trips. They take them twice a week to places like Walmart or Target to do groceries and shopping. They have a little committee of the residents that meet regularly to help plan trips and stuff like that or outings. So I like that because it's not staff-driven but resident-driven. The food is wonderful, we just love the food. The food is hot, the portions are adequate, and if you want seconds they give them seconds.

Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living and Memory Care was nice. They had smoking out by the dog park and there's a $1,000 pet deposit. Their cost seemed to be a bit higher than average, but it was a very nice place and very well kept. The people I talked with there were very nice. They did a good job and answered my questions well. The rooms were very nicely laid out. They have the studio apartments and one bedrooms that I saw. They certainly have a lot of other amenities and activities for the people.

Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living and Memory Care was very big. They had a lot more room compared to the other place I saw. It was huge with really long hallways. They had a lot more people and had several more rooms for different activities and stuff, but it didn't feel embracing. It reminded me of a hospital just because of the long hallways and retired military, but with fancy decorations. It took me over an hour to walk all the way around that place. It just seemed a little distant, but it was gorgeous. The staff who took me around was very nice and very informative. She had a whole bunch more stuff, like brochures, floorplans, and everything. It seemed more corporate to me. The dining area looked fabulous. They had it so they could see the food visually, instead of having to order off the menu. They had several activities, and they had a new menu every week. It was a much bigger dining facility because they had so many more people. The place was great. The problem was the location, and also the price was a little higher. It did not give me that at home feel. It was probably a good 100 yards from the room to get to the dining facility. It was two stories, and there was an elevator. I didn't want to feel like he was walking these hallways forever. They had everything going on from a movie room, activities room, and craft room. They were a beautiful facility, but it just wasn't for me.

My dad is going to move into Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living and Memory Care. They were awesome. When we approached the place, they had my name and my father's name on a stand, like you would see in a conference room, with balloons on it. And they were the colors of his service like blue and yellow balloons. So, he felt very welcomed. We received very friendly and courteous service from the beginning. Lauren greeted us and she gave us a beautiful tour. She handed us 4 beautiful pieces of cake in a closed box; my dad just loved that. He thought he was treated like a king. We sat in the conference room and then she proceeded to go over everything. They had a lovely facility. We proceeded up to see the model room, and then when they showed us the actual room that was left for him to choose from, it had a crape myrtle tree in front. He just fell in love because he's a very outdoor woodsy person . His room overlooks a courtyard. The room included a refrigerator and a microwave. I was very impressed with the living quarters because they have two separate rooms. They have a living area for my father, and then you have to do all your furnishings. But you go to the next room and then there's a separate bedroom from the living quarters. And then you walk through the door and there's the bedroom, and another door to get to his shower. I appreciated that they had handrails around the shower. The toilet also had handrails. They had cabinets and they had a closet for him to put his clothes. The setup was very, very nice. And then we went down a couple of doors and she showed him everything from the movie theater to the card games. Where his location is, he's going to be next to a fitness room, and he enjoyed that as well. For the meals that they were serving, they had 2 options plus the normal sandwiches.

I toured Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was a very nice facility. It seemed to be the newest of all the facilities that I toured. Everything was very well kept up. I liked their outside area for walking and relaxing. They had a really nice courtyard area. The building itself was really nice. The people were really nice. The dining area was very nice, very clean, and very well organized. It seemed like they were very well staffed and they had very pleasant people working there. They had a library area and a couple of different activity rooms where you could do puzzles or watch TV or play games or paint. According to the person that was doing the tour, they offer church services on Sundays. It looked like a home. It looked like someplace you'd want to be. It was certainly one of the top places I've seen.

Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living & Memory Care was a nice place. It was well kept. They gave us desserts and they were good. We liked this place, but it was a little out of our price range. The rooms have laminate floors and walk-in showers. The staff who gave us the tour was friendly and very personable. They have a lot of activities like trips to the local stores, in-house exercising, and religious services.

We toured Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's amazing. The dining area was really nice. At the assisted living it was restaurant style, so you could come and sit, and they would come and take your order. We saw people sitting there and eating when we passed by. We got to see the chef there, and he was super nice. The rooms were very nice. My mom was actually stunned at how nice it was. It was very clean and it had a nice layout. For handicapped accessibility, it was really good. It was a nice place. They had a lot of things. They had a salon. The place where the mom's at right now, what she struggles with is that they don't do anything, and here they have activities that are enough that you don't have to go to all of them, but there's something available to do. Even the decoration was very inviting, very calm, and peaceful. The way they had this place decorated was really, really nice. They have a library, which is really cool, too.

My mother is at Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch. I'd like to see some cushions on the wooden patio chairs outside because they are kind of hard for all those old people. I hardly ever see anybody sitting on them. I'm happy with the staff. They take care of my mom, and they're really good people. It always smells good in there. They put a deodorizer and do the carpets once a month. It's always kept nice. They've been doing more outings, and the food looks good. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. She feels independent there, she has her own little place, and we bought her new furniture. She feels like she's at home.

Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch is really nice, big and clean. But I think they're understaffed a little bit but they're transitioning to a new management company that's why. Other than that they're good. The rooms are nice and they're also a nice size. The food seems pretty good, they get soup, salad, a meal and a really nice dessert. They have activities for the residents but they're working on getting better. They do bowling with little pins, karaoke, and they have therapy dogs that come in. There's a lot of amenities including a swimming pool. The staff hasn't been mean or anything, they seem like they care. I think that their food has a good selection for memory care. The place itself is really nice and clean, of all the places I've toured this one was the cleanest. They base off different pricing for everybody and I got a good deal.

Our Mom spent the last nine months of her life at Landon Ridge Assisted Living, and I visited her almost daily. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and compassionate. The facility is fairly new so it is attractively decorated and was always clean. Private residences are efficient and well kept with weekly housekeeping. Dining facilities are nice, and I always felt Mom had good, balanced nutrition. Above all she enjoyed the activities with her fellow residents / friends, especially Bingo and art projects. Our thanks go out to the staff for the care and safety they gave her, and the peace of mind they gave the family.

Landon Ridge at Alamo Ranch to me is a left-handed community. I'm paralyzed on my left side and everywhere that I've lived has been right handed. The community is not the best, it's a little smaller, but we are pretty well-accustomed to it by now. We have a small dog and it's not handy, because you still have to get a leash and get-dressed to take the dog out, instead of just opening the door and letting it out into the backyard. What stands out to me about this place is the security, the meals are there, and we don't have to cook. If we get sick, they will assist us some. They run buses to different shops and tours all the time, so people who don't drive can hop the bus and buy snacks in the grocery store. We can take the buses at special times to go to the doctor as well. They have activities on each floor, we have a theater, and there have games and recreation. We have a swimming pool that's heated and it's behind glass, so it feels like you're outside but not outside. The people are real friendly. If you go to eat and there's an open table they invite you to eat with them.

It is very nice. Most of the staff is very nice, really very caring, very open, and warm. Mom wanted to have 2 rooms, so she had a bedroom, a bathroom, and a small living room. The dining area is very nice; it has round tables with table cloths and glass dishes. The food is really very good. There are 3 full meals a day, and there are snacks available. They usually have a couple of entrees, but you can get soup or sandwiches any time. It’s new, and it’s not full yet, and so as they admit more residents, they’re still adding staff and fine tuning that balance. There are a few things they could probably work on, but they have been very helpful.

It was very nice, but their living facilities were smaller. They had a lot of activities, and the people are very friendly and accommodating. They've gone out of their way to call me several times to see if I needed help or information about anything.

My mom is a resident of this facility and I knew from my first visit that this was "her" place. The personnel are just awesome ! They are always bright & cheerful, share updates without your having to ask. The facility is new and fresh and welcoming. My moms room is spacious and kept clean and I love that they have motion detectors in each room !! For the first time in years, when I leave my mom, I'm smiling instead of in tears. She's come to life and is happier than she has been in a very long time. We are blessed to have found the facility !!

My mom is here. I like the proximity of it because it is close. I like the fact that I can just simply get into my car and just be there because it is only a mile away from my home. It has all the accommodation that I need from the facility. The staff is great. They work with you a lot. She has her own room, and she just shares a bathroom. They have activities like music time with the piano. They have the 4th of July. They have time where they do puzzles and numerous other games. They have fitness that they do in the morning. They do lots of things. It is a very new facility, and it has only been there since March.
