lived here 2 months. so far so good... there are new owners that are starting new activites and rooms. they just started a new bible study and church service... which is GREAT. There still needs to be some work done in the halways but they say they are still working on it. i'm excited to see what happens here in the next few months.

I moved into Ensemble Senior Living. They need to work on, whatever they say is free and not shut it down. They said coffee was free and they let it be open for 24 hours a day and that's stupid. There should be a timeframe for it. It's been shut down for a week and I'm upset about that because I love coffee. I heard earlier that they used to have continental breakfast until it got too expensive because they put it out for everybody and everybody would just take whatever they wanted and go back to their apartment. They're doing stuff all wrong. There are all these notes all over the place. I hate notes because I'm blind. If you walk in, there are some seats to the right and the left of the entrance and they said that's for people that are coming in, not for residents. It feels like a company-run building. In the lobby, it feels like a business and I hate that. The lobby to me is where everybody congregates and talks and whatever, but not this place. This place is off-limits. They have some good points. The backyard has a pool, a pond, and a gazebo. It's nice back there, and it's got a pathway that you can walk and there's a dog park. They do allow animals. I love the high rise and I'm on the eighth floor. My window faces north. I can see Generations Credit Union across. The apartments are very nice. They're not that great about cleanliness. We clean our own place, but the lobby is cleaned by them. They do a really good job on the floor, but nothing else. My hand would go on something and I could feel dirt. I'm sure they clean it, but I don't think that's their primary goal, the floor is. They're constantly cleaning the floors. The staff is very nice. They've been helping me ever since I've been here. They always say, "Do you need anything?" because they know I'm blind. I give the management company a three because they do it all wrong. The only thing I don't like at this place is the management. I haven't even seen the manager or even talked to her. She didn't come to me and say, "Welcome to Ensemble." We make our own food. They have some activities and there's a lot that they could add, but I don't think they care. They have lots of bingo. We got a balcony up on the eleventh floor where we can go out and sit in the sun or whatever.
STILL WAITING FOR MY LEASE

Our apartment was never finished and not ready to move in, we stayed in the guest apartment but it was so dirty we moved into our unfinished apartment. Been here since February 2022 we viewed the apartment on November 2021 and we gave from November to February to get the apartment ready. We still have not received an updated lease since the original has had many mistakes. This place would be nice if we had hot water and heat on a daily basis. The maintenance employees are doing a very good job keeping up with the many problems. Lease here at your own risk!!!

We are thinking of moving to Ensemble Apartments. We like it because its location is ideal, it's right off Route 410, and it has all of the stores like Target. They have everything, like theaters, right across the street, just within walking distance. And they have restaurants and doctor's offices and that's the reason why we chose to want to live there again. The apartment has a complete kitchen with all the appliances. The rooms are not enormous, but they are good sized, it's very convenient. They also have a studio, a 1-bedroom with one bath, and a 2-bedroom with two baths, it all depends on one's budget. Most of all, they have all the conveniences in the lobby. They have a cafe there, a gathering area, they have a gym right there, and then on the outside, they have the swimming pool, they have the pond, and they have a walking path, which is very, very nice. They also have a theater and a library, and they have wi-fi connections. Their apartments include all utilities, water, electricity, cable, and everything that you would normally pay if you own a home. So if you move there, you don't have to pay for that. If you could afford the rent, it's better than buying and then living in your home. Normally, if you own a home, you would have to have someone from outside come in, like a handyman or whatever to help you keep your home and your patio also. So we won't be doing any of that once we move to Ensemble. The staff is very sweet, even over the phone. They sent me the apartment diagram and they sent me the virtual tour. I saw it virtually first and then that's when we went back yesterday to see it personally. So they're very helpful, they're very diligent with the information and the people that were there, and they seem happy. They already have the September calendar up and each day they have activities, including Bible study which to me is important. Everything looks very clean both inside and the surroundings outside. And they have enough parking so that's a good thing. And naturally, it's a gated community so that's very important.

We chose Ensemble Apartments because it's 55+, and all the bills are included. It's an older building that was remodeled. It's updated and nice. My brother liked it because of its location. He used to have his house about a mile away from there. He likes that neighborhood, and he knows where everything is (like his eating spots). The staff members were very friendly, nice, accommodating, and welcoming.

Unfortunately we already signed a two year lease. I wish I never moved in here. Nothing but water and AC/Heater problems since we moved in September 2021. The management staff has their days when they nice or not. The glass door in office were even coated with frost to block view of inside. I would not recommend this place management is unprofessional at time and even discuss tenants business with other tenants. I would like to speak to owner. The community is not fully gated around complex. We've have homeless or unauthorized people get in building. There is no security here even for the elderly and disable. Look somewhere else. Over priced to. We're paying $1,775 for a two bedroom.

Ensemble Senior Living is the one my mom's really interested in, since it's closer to where my sister is and where I live. Ensemble used to be Wedgwood. It is independent living. The staff was friendly and definitely helpful. We got to see 3 different floor plans. They had a studio, a 1-bedroom, a 2-bedroom, and a 3-bedroom, but we only looked at the studio and the 1-bedroom. It's definitely spacious and everything is new. It's been totally renovated because this particular building had a fire a couple of years ago, and it's been totally redone and remodeled, so it looks brand new. They always serve a Continental breakfast. They have an in-home theater, a conference room, a library, a walking trail, and a dog park. It's actually really nice. They don't serve any meals other than just a simple Continental breakfast.

I am very excited to say "I am moving into this wonderful facility as soon as my home is sold". I have visited my friend that lives here many times and look forward to living in this secure , pleasant place. I enjoy feeding the fish and the birds and just sitting out in the well cared for surroundings. I have never seen such a beautiful place to live. I want to call it my home.

This place has improved, but it seems the new owner is more interested in the appearance of this place then the comfort of the residents, my mom is in her 90's and not happy that sat church has to be held downstairs now, the restaurant has a new so call chef, my mom says the prices went up but the food sucks and the service slow, when i ate with her it took 25 mins to get waited on, and 10 more mins for cold food, the residents say the chef is in the office more than he is in the restaurant, and has been seen coming out of the manager's apt on the 9th floor early in the morning, my mom is ready to move after 12 years there she is upset about all the rules and the poor food, and upset about having to sit in chairs that people pee on, im moving her out ASAP
Provider Response
Thank you for taking the time to communicate with us, we strive on constant improvement. We have not cancelled church on the 11th floor. We are willing to temporarily set up chairs until the new room is completed. We are building a new room on the first floor that will be able to accommodate 30-40 people and comfortable seating. A few of the organizers for church has decided to no longer volunteer due to personal reasons. We want to offer as many services and amenities as possible. We did hire a new Chef and we are training a new wait staff. We are very excited about the new addition to the property vs outsourcing it. The new Chef does stay on site multiple days per week, due to the early hours of preparing fresh food for the residents. We will work diligently together to ensure a speedy service for our residents and guest. The Chef is an employee of Wedgwood so he does work out of our offices to balance his tickets and daily deposits.
We also purchased new furniture for the lobby for additional and more comfortable seating. If a resident has an accident we promptly pull the piece of furniture and have it professionally cleaned. Unfortunately this is a common occurrence at most Senior Communities.
We have comment cards available at the office and restaurant for all comments and feedback we appreciate both positive and negative so we can constantly improve. Our goal is to ensure our residents are happy and comfortable in the home we are providing.

I went to go visit just recently and I went to go eat at the restaurant that they have. I was so disgusted of all the little nats and bugs they had in Restaurant. My family couldn't even finish their meal. They need pest control immediately.
Provider Response
Thank you for taking the time to visit Wedgwood Senior Community. We apologize for your negative experience and would like to invite you back for another visit. We have a scheduled pest control visits each week. We have also hired a wonderful new Chef. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the food industry. We have new owners and are excited about the new face lift of Wedgwood Senior Community. We strive to go above and beyond to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for our residents.

Great security was important to me and I have found it here. In cases of emergencies it can't be beat. They are here within minutes. Great residents. Best of all it is affordable which is important if you are on a fixed income.

East Ridge Residence was not clean and the hallways smelled. They had several leaks and there were carpets in the hallways that were wet. They offered my mother a place for $1000/month but she declined because the atmosphere was depressing. The staff were good but it was not somewhere she wanted to live.

I chose Wedgwood Apartments because it is less expensive including the utilities. I love the grounds outside. They have a waterfall and a pool. There are a lot of trees and foliage. They have a walking path which is pristine and very nice. Also within the complex, there is a bank, a beautiful restaurant and a beauty shop. I'm staying in an efficiency apartment, which is spacious. I got a room for two twin beds. I also have a kitchen where I can fix my own meals if I want to. The staff also are nice and pleasant. We also have a lot of activities here like bingos and some classes. They have entertainers come in and play the grand piano in the lobby. Another plus factor for me is that their shuttle bus has a lift which can accommodate my big electric chair, thus I can go places with the other residents when they go to places. I'm pretty happy with this place and would recommend this community to others.
