I chose Brookdale Nacogdoches for my friend because it's strictly for memory-impaired residents. It's a small community and I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. I felt it was the right place for her. They play games in the morning, do exercise programs, and have a varied activity schedule. There's always something for the residents to participate in. Their staff is excellent. Everyone I've dealt with has been very helpful. I've seen how they interact with the other residents and they're wonderful. The place is very clean. I think it's well worth the price.

Brookdale Nacogdoches was very clean. The staff was very friendly, answered my questions, and very caring toward my mom. They offer quite a bit. They try to offer almost everything to anybody. They offer activities, arts and crafts, and quite a bit of things.

The coordinator at Brookdale Nacogdoches was very, very, very good about explaining things. She gave me a packet of information about how to apply for veteran's benefits and then showed me all the different kinds of rooms. I saw the small ones and the larger ones, and they were all very nice and very clean. When you walk in, it doesn't smell anything. The way they take care of their residents was really good. They were well-staffed. She showed me how they keep them busy and how they help them with memory care. They were eating lunch and ithe food smelled wonderful. It looked healthy and good, too. It's just an older building, but she said they're going to be redoing some of the floors, some baseboards, and do some repainting. It's a smaller place, but it's a very home-like environment. I would recommend that place.

I toured Brookdale Nacogdoches. I felt very comfortable and welcomed there. I really liked it. The person who assisted me was very informative and helpful. The dining area was OK. It was right there in the front of the building for easy access for the patients. The residents were doing stuff on the computer that showed on the TV screens, so they were interacting there. The rooms were nice-sized. They're not too big and they're not too small. It was a comfortable feeling in there. It was homey. Everything looked good. Everything was good on the housekeeping end of it.

I went to Brookdale Nacogdoches. Everything was very nice. I did like the place, but it just didn't fit my mom's needs. The staff was very nice and very informative. I saw a studio, a shared, and a private room. They were clean. They were nice, and they were pretty. They showed me the courtyard, I saw the spa room, and then the room where they go to gather. They were having music, or something while I was there, but it was very nice.

I was shown around Brookdale Nacogdoches. The room was clean. Everything was fine. I really enjoyed the visit. I had no problems with anything I have seen. I saw the sitting room. I was mainly shown the inside really quick and the rooms. I was shown a patio from afar.

Brookdale Nacogdoches was very nice. The people were very nice. The facility was very nice. The location is perfect. It's near restaurants. It's perfect because it's right down the street from my house. The staff members were very personable people. I really liked the young lady. She was very nice. I was able to see everything. It was very nice. I liked the room size. Everything was pretty clean. The people were just super, super nice, i.e., the young lady that I worked with and her supervisor. Had my mom not taken the turn for the worse, we were literally ready to sign the papers to take her over there. It's a shame that we didn't get that far because she passed away before all this happened.

Brookdale Nacogdoches is very nice, friendly, and clean. The residents seemed to be engaged and active. As I was told, they seemed to change the activities every 30 minutes or so to keep the residents engaged. There's a restaurant right next door, so they tend to walk some of them next door to the Mexican restaurant. Their grounds were neat and well-kept, and it's located on kind of a busy street. They had different-sized apartments, so you can pick a studio for example. There are two different type of sizes, where one is small and the other one is just perfect.

Brookdale Nacogdoches seems OK, and I like the director, but I don’t think they are well staffed. During the day, there are five people, and at night, there are two; it seems there's less staff on weekends. I like the grounds, but they have the doors locked so the residents can't go out. The rooms are very nice, and the place is clean and well maintained. They serve my dad three meals and two snacks a day, and he likes the food. I think it was adequate, and the cost was fair and affordable.

This is a great facility if your loved one is not ambulatory and does not need freedom to roam. The food is excellent. The staff provides a wonderful program for Alzheimer residents. However, it was definitely not the place for my mother. She lasted three weeks and then ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Most of the staff was loving and caring. A few of the staff were aggressive and argumentative with my mother (not a good approach for someone with vascular dementia). To avoid the the heartaches that we had with my mother, I recommend that if your loved one has vascular dementia that he/she be evaluated by a psychiatrist who deals with geriatric patients or by a doctor specializing in geriatrics. Many of the issues could have been avoided if my mother had been properly medicated. You also need to take the physical health and activity of your loved one into account. My mother was in very good shape physically and needed a lot of exercise. This made Claire Bridge House an entirely inappropriate placement for her. The facility is beautiful, but there is no unlocked access to outdoors, and it is not large enough to accommodate someone who needs lots of exercise. The last recommendation that I have is that if the staff of an assisted living facility says that your loved one needs to be placed in memory care, BELIEVE THEM!!! They know their business. If this is not what you were expecting, put any move on hold until you have researched facilities for your now new situation.

The staff at Clare Bridge of San Antonio is above exceptional. It's almost hard to explain in words what they mean to me and my family. My dad was a resident for over three years and they treated him like family. My dad suffered from dementia and was difficult at times but they always treated him with respect and were extremely patient. They worked very closely with us to make the best decisions for my dad and I couldn't be more grateful. While the entire staff is beyond wonderful - Lisa, Doug and Cynthia stick out as truly outstanding people that clearly love their jobs and it shows. Lisa & Cynthia made it possible for me to Skype with my dad and for him to "meet" his newborn granddaughter before he passed even though we were in another state. I will be forever thankful and grateful. If you are looking for a facility that cares...take the time to visit Clare Bridge San Antonio.

This facility has been exceptional... Not only is the staff caring and friendly, the food is great and the activities keep them busy all day. I am so glad I found such a wonderful place for Mom. I have been there at all hours of the day and have always had a positive experience. Thank you for taking such good care of Mom..

We just moved our mother/mother-in-law to this facility and couldn't be happier. (She has been there for 2 months now) The warmth and care your staff provides her is truly a blessing to our family. She loves all the activities provided throughout the day/everyday and absolutely loves your food. The facility is very clean and well maintained. We have nothing but high praise for this facility and it's staff.
