My mom is a resident of Brookdale Maltsberger. She has been there since February of last year and she loves it. She loves the social aspect of it. She has a nice private room with a little living area and kitchenette. The staff is wonderful and helps her and brings her out to do activities. They have the meals, a kitchen, and a dining area, and she's happy with her meals. The staff has just been wonderful to her.

We liked Brookdale Maltsberger better than the other place by just a small margin. What we liked best was when we walked in, we didn't smell any bad smells. It appeared to be a very clean, kept-up facility. I only was in contact with the person giving us the tour and she was very friendly. They offered everything we needed, and everything we asked about was included in the price. They had a salon, an activity room, a game room, live music, and a table set up for them to come and do puzzles. They just had things set up throughout the building for people to come. You didn't all have to be in one area.

I had an outstanding tour in Brookdale Maltsberger. The facility was just redecorated, and so everything looked fresh and new. The staff was welcoming and very informative. I received lots of information specific to my relatives and I enjoyed my interaction with them. They had a variety of apartments and they were very nice. They have been refreshed, so they got fresh paint, new floors, and new furniture. They had a nice calendar where residents were doing a variety of activities. The staff was very familiar with the residents, and it was a very positive environment. They had several common areas, like a nice activity center and nice dining facilities as well.

Brookdale Maltsberger was nice. They were in the middle of construction, so everything was in complete disarray, but aside from that, I'm sure when it's completed, it will be very nice. The people I met were nice and helpful. Nothing was really open, but what we saw was very nice, so we're considering the place. There were people there; they're just in the process of remodeling. They just painted and they're going to be putting in carpets, so everything was moved. I've only interacted with one person, but she has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and she has been able to answer all my questions and give me insight into things. She was great. it was a Saturday, so it wasn't 100% functioning. The other staff members I saw were in the hallway doing stuff.

I went to Brookdale Maltsberger. It was small, the security was good, coming in, everything was right there as soon as you entered, so I didn't care much for it at all. It's an older property too, a little dated. It was clean, but not as open and big as the other one. It wasn't worth the price that they were quoting for the property. The staff was friendly, she wasn't expecting me, however, she did put it together and gave me the tour, gave me the information that I needed. The dining room is small, they had a small room where they could get together, they didn't have a lot of residents, so the dining area, common area, it was like all in one. They don't have specified places for specified events. They showed us a little garden area and a screened-in porch. I liked that the facility is like a circle, so you start from one end and you can walk around the whole complex, and come back to the front.

Brookdale Maltsberger is nicely decorated and safe in a nice, accessible neighborhood. My mother-in-law is there. The staff seems very friendly and caring. They have musicians come in for entertainment. The place is pleasant and has a variety of residents.

Brookdale was kind of old but OK. The care was fine, and my mother was OK. The room had a TV, a small refrigerator, and a bathroom.

I toured Brookdale Maltsberger (Sterling House of Maltsberger). The room they opened up for me to look at was small. I walked in without an appointment, but the woman that was there was nice. She went out of her way to accommodate me.

Sterling House of Maltsberger is excellent. It's very clean and well kept. The staff and the care that they are giving is excellent. The food is excellent too. They have all kinds of activities like bingo and people come in to sing. I would highly recommend this facility.

When my mom was alive, she was in Sterling House. At the beginning, it came across as very homey. The rooms were spacious and pretty good. Their staff was helpful but only to a point. I would have highly rated them at the beginning of my mom's stay there; however, before my mom left, I think her care could have been a lot better. Also their food was terrible. They did have activities but they were just okay. There were activities there that she wasn't really interested in joining. She only participated playing bingo. I think their living environment was okay but my mom wouldn't be happy anywhere but her house.

Well I wasn't there for very long, maybe 30-45 minutes. But I did get to see a good chunk of the area my grandmother was in and it was very clean. Everything was organized and well taken care of. Brightly lit rooms and a friendly staff on the payroll made this a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs this kind of service.

The Sterling House of Maltsberger seemed like a well tended facility when we arrived. It is stylishly designed, with the residents needs in mind. The outer regions were lovely with nicely appointed trees, shrubs and beautiful benches to sit on and enjoy. The main rooms for socializing were vibrant and cheerful. We saw a variety of seniors enjoying themselves doing a variety of things, from reading and relaxing to exercising and socializing. There were also plenty of areas for socializing, entertaining and dining. The dining rooms were cozy and also large enough to enjoy communal dining. The food prepared looked really appetizing, as did the snacks -- all of which is offered throughout the day as residents desire them. The private apartments were homey, well designed for easy access and safety. Each one come equipped with everything the residents need, plus access to assistance any time. They encourage all seniors to participate in a variety of physical activity, from exercise training, to walking and enjoying outside excursions. They design agendas according to the needs of each resident, who can decide which things they would like to take part in. In addition to the usual activities offered, the residents can also participate in social programs which allow them to give back in the community with skills such as tutoring, mentoring or disciplines they have been trained or worked in. The entire facility is designed for easy access for people of varied levels of mobility, which provides an inclusive environment for everyone. It was clear that the residents are very well taken care of here and very happy.
