I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm at The Waterford at Round Rock. The room is nice, the food is good, and the people who work here are very kind and nice. I lived in a place like this before this one, and the food wasn't good. Here, it's well-balanced meals. They have good vegetables and good protein. It's very good. You get a salad with every meal. My room is a nice size. It's comfortable. You can get more rooms than I have here. I just have one huge room. Some people have a living room and a bedroom kind of separate. The bathroom and shower are separate and it's nice. They have activities. They have outings and bingo games. They have all kinds of stuff. They have movies in the afternoon on a big screen in a movie room. Value for money is pretty good. All of these places are too expensive. Other places that I've looked at weren't as good for the money.

I visited this facility

It seemed to really take care of the memory care residents very well and be in tune with what they needed. What I liked least was that in some of the hallways that had carpet, I could smell urine. They were very positive and cheerful people. In the memory care area, they were preparing fresh meals with fresh salads right there in front of you, so we were able to see the food; they looked good. They have a salon and a courtyard.

Provider Response

Becky, we're so glad that we were able to go above and beyond your expectations!

I visited this facility

I went over here to look at it, I really liked it. I was impressed, from what I saw. It's very nice and very clean. The apartment was really nice. I got to see one that was staged, and it was very nice. I liked the layout of it. The staff who gave the tour was very good. She told me everything. I was able to ask questions. I had her number. She said that if I ever need anything, I can always call her. It doesn't matter when or what time of the day. She was very nice and very informative. I looked at the menu, and I liked it. They serve a couple of entrees. They also have an alternative menu, if you don't want anything that they're serving that day. You can always pick from the alternative. In terms of activities, I saw them play puzzles. The calendar of activities had a lot.

Provider Response

Donna, we're glad you had such a wonderful experience with us!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother-in-law has only been in here for a little bit now. She moved in with a cold, and so she hasn't felt good since she's been there. I think it'll be nice, and I'm hoping she'll make some friends. One time when we were there, a pianist was entertaining them, but they also do play bingo. She doesn't have a full kitchen in her room, but she got a microwave and a fridge, and it was spacious enough. The facilities are a little nicer too than the other ones.

Provider Response

Wonderful news to hear that mom is transitioning better, considering the circumstances. We will work hard to engage with her so she feels comfortable really soon and make new friends.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad is in here. We can't go in there but he's taken care of. The staff members are communicating clearly what is going on and what they plan to change. He seems to be happy there and he's not complaining about anything. They do not allow outside visitors unless they're authorized or from hospice care.

Provider Response

What a spectacular review for our team and community -thank you for taking the time to share!

My mother is here. It is wonderful. I can't say enough about it. I'm very happy with it. They have a movie theater, a game room, a gym, and they have entertainment that comes in. The staff is great.
