Both the residents and the staff here at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living are close. We know each other. They know us and we know them. They are almost like part of the folks of the community, and I think that makes a big difference. The apartments are well-managed and very clean. We have housekeeping every two weeks. The maintenance is quick to handle anything that happens in each apartment. As far as the layout, the building is about three years old, so things are pretty brand new. There's a lot to do here. There are games. There is a drum activity to promote getting up, standing up, and drumming. They have bean bag baseball, which has become very popular. They have bridge, mahjong, dominoes, and all kinds of games. There is an organized group that goes for walks. As far as physical activity, I think it's better than most because of what you're allowed to do. When it comes to food, we are starting to get better meals.

My friend was at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living. It was very clean and very nice. Her room was nice, very clean, and very well put together. She stayed there for about 60 days. They did a great job. They were friendly. They were helpful and very resourceful when we needed to move her. She wasn't one to eat in the dining room. She ate in her room, but the food was good. They had a swimming pool and swimming instructors. They had a really good activities director that came from a Carnival cruise kind of thing. He was able to bring in a lot of different people to do different things, other than just play bingo.

I moved into The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living. It's clean and bright and has good lighting. The staff is very professional and helpful. The food is very nutritious and very tasty and there's plenty of it. Today, we had grilled cheese, caramelized onions, and corn. They have a pool, and housekeeping every couple of weeks for independent living, and they supply the fall alert button. They have religious services, games, a theater, and movie nights.

My mom has moved into The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living. The staff is really good. On the bottom floors are the assisted living and there were some nurses down on the floor, and we didn't know where to walk in for the tour because they were doing some construction on the driveway, and we just walked in the first door found. We didn't have masks or anything and they were really quick but kind to say, "Hey, wait, wait, wait, where are you going and what are you doing?" And then they helped us get to where we were going and the lady at the reception desk was really sweet. Also, nobody was annoyed. Then we met with Roger, who was the guy that showed us the apartments and stuff, and he was very patient. We looked at three different places in there and they were just amazing. Every aspect of it was great. Every time we passed a person, he knew their name, and that's not his job, really, and they all liked him. So, it was really neat. We're not allowed to eat there, but my mom raves about it, and she's pretty picky. They have two menus: a menu that they do every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then they have a menu for when they don't like what they're serving that day. It's a menu that is sandwiches, hamburgers, and things like that that most people will eat if they didn't like what's on the menu. So, they have a lot of options. Sometimes it is okay, and sometimes it's like mom's confused about it. But she's enjoying being there. It's very clean. That was my main thing. Everything's included like the electricity, the cable, and one meal a day. You can pay more. They also have refrigerators. They have a swimming pool, a deck where they can sit outside, and there are tables outside, no matter where they are. Inside they have a library and a gaming room. They also do cooking classes and all sorts of things with the people there. It's awesome. It doesn't cost extra money, either. I spent the day with her over there and we did a little shopping and when we got back, she was like, "Oh no, it's past two o'clock. That thing would start at two o'clock." And she raced down there, and she did a little boogie while they were doing a little drumming. They do something every day, so there's something different. They have a schedule, and they do great activities with them. They do chair yoga, too. I think tomorrow they're taking a shuttle to JCPenney right down the road. It's just really neat. She's getting all that and she's got a studio apartment. Everything's included for $2100 bucks a month. To me, that was super inexpensive compared to what I've been looking at.

My grandparents are at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living. The big reason that we ended up picking them was aside from them being right across the street from the hospital was that they had true walk-in showers in every unit. They had a bunch of handrailing and safety railings everywhere, like inside the shower itself, around the toilet area, and other places where it would be needed. The facility itself is very picturesque. It's very nice. They enjoy going out into the dining area. They enjoy going inside the common areas because everything just looks very pleasant and airy with big windows. Everything's kept nice and clean. It's a pleasant place for them to live. Breakfast is always included. It's extra to get a second or third meal for the day. Also one of the reasons we wanted to get them moved was because having good social interaction and that kind of thing can help people who are developing dementia. They were living kind of isolated in a house about an hour away from all family members and with my grandmother's mobility issues, it's very hard for them to just get out and do things. At this facility, they do a lot of social stuff. They do the typical things like movie night, happy hour, and they provide regular onsite physical therapy sessions four to five times a week and the residents can choose to go or not to go. That was another big factor for my grandmother to help her get more mobile. My grandparents' biggest complaints have been, when they go and order lunch, the dining staff takes a bit of time. It's not anything major. In some places that I talked to before, it was hard to just even get a response to go get a tour or to go visit the facility or even get the information on the floor plans or pricing, and it's very easy to get all of this taken care of at The Enclave. We have not had any issues that we would consider major in any way. The food is very good. They let family come in and have meals with the residents. I've had lunch with them a few times and the food is much better than you would expect from an assisted or senior living facility. It is restaurant-quality food. There seemed to be some issues where some staff members don't seem to know what's going on a lot of the time. Some more training and that kind of thing are needed for some of the staff members. It's not like they mistreat people or they're rude or anything like that. It's more like they can't seem to answer basic questions sometimes and just simple things like trying to get the TV set up in the room. The staff members have been there for quite a while. It's a very nice facility. It's one of the reasons we picked it. Everything is very spacious, open, and airy. It's very nice to have stone and marble flooring. The views are very nice. They have a swimming pool and stuff like that. It's laid out so that the majority of the residents don't have to go very far for basic services. We've got more square foot for the price than pretty much every other place we looked at and then considering that it comes with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in every unit and that kind of thing for the price that you're paying, it's been very good.

I visited Enclave at Round Rock last year, and it was excellent. I loved the facility. I like everything about it, except for the price -- I couldn't afford it. I liked the fact that the apartments were nice, and they were new. They had many services. The location is very attractive, very clean, and very bright. My son-in-law was with me, so it was kind of like walking into a cruise ship. It was just very, very nice, and the people were very good.

I chose The Enclave for my dad. It's very nice, and it's only a year and a half old. There are granite countertops in the kitchen. They have full kitchens, except in assisted living, they don't have a stove. They have a stackable washer and dryer in every unit and a walk-in shower. The bedroom is a little on the cramped side, but they have different floor plans. I chose the one that has more square footage. It's probably a little on the smaller side, but it's still fine. It has a nice kitchen and a bar that comes out that's countertop height, so you can put chairs there. I think just about every unit has a balcony. There were a few that did not have a balcony, but most of them do. They have a pool, a weight room, a nice size dining room, and a lot of common areas for people to gather and visit. The staff was very nice, very knowledge, friendly, and eager to help. From the affordability standpoint, The Enclave is going to be $2350 a month. It's like walking into the Hampton Hotel. It's just nice. They have a nice covered drive-up. It's very close to doctors and hospitals. My father will be moving in by March.

We liked The Enclave at Round Rock a lot. The apartment that I saw was brand new and the staff was very helpful. The dining area was well placed and very clean. They had a music room, a nice library, and there were laundry machines in the apartments, which were also brand new. Their facilities were the best that I've seen, they were brand new, clean, and well taken care of.

My mother is living at the Enclave at Round Rock. It's a brand-new place, they're very caring, and they're very on top of things. The food is good, the room is lovely, and I couldn't ask for better. It is working well. They have a calendar of activities they put out each month, there are a dozen and a half things each day, craft stuff, book clubs, bible study, she has a church onsite, and a local minister comes in. At this point she's receiving PT and OT, so we're working around those schedules. They cook, they go on trips, there's shopping once a week, and they take them to see local bands. They offer more activities than she's able to take advantage of. The staff is very well-trained, very supportive, they want to do what they're doing, and they're well-trained about getting it done. You can't ask for much better. It's a gorgeous place.
