My family moved our father in back in July, and have been very happy with the service. Food is good; I get pictures of my dad dancing, exercising, and helping set the table. We are happy with our choice and feel dad is taken care of

When considering Sage Valley Senior Living for your loved ones, it’s important to look beyond the polished exterior and carefully evaluate the care being provided. Our family chose Sage Valley with high hopes, trusting in their assurances of quality support and attention. Unfortunately, our experience revealed several significant concerns about my mother’s safety and care. Although we paid for a higher level of care, my mother experienced multiple falls in her room due to staff delays, especially at night when she needed assistance with toileting. We repeatedly raised this issue with Sage Valley, but the pattern of slow response persisted. My mother, though strong-willed despite her frailty, required more attentive care than what was consistently provided. Recognizing the gaps in her care, we felt compelled to hire a private aide (at a substantial additional cost) to ensure her daily hygiene and participation in community activities were properly managed. Sadly, we also encountered ongoing problems with the cleanliness of her room and laundry service, both of which we paid extra for but found lacking in quality. Additionally, there has been frequent turnover among the executive and leadership staff at Sage Valley, with multiple changes occurring in just a few months. This instability has made it difficult to maintain consistency in care and management. While we understand that caregiving can be demanding, the recurring delays in assistance and general lack of responsiveness were deeply concerning. We sincerely hope that Sage Valley takes these issues seriously and improves their level of care to provide a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

My relatives care plan that Sage Valley went over and agreed to was not followed. Hearing aids not put in correctly, oxygen not properly used,( batteries for it not charged), also hardly any activities or Vibrant Life program like we were told would happen. T.V. was a major activity. Were told there would be snacks and they were very inconsistent. Water was not encouraged and with my loved ones Congestive Heart failure this was very important. It is also very important for anyone who doesn't move around much, as is the case at Sage Memory Care because of the possibility of UTI's. We would come every day to make sure these needs were met. If you want a place that constantly says we are working on it or we have a high rate of staff turnover, stop and really think about why you are thinking about putting your loved one here. My loved one was there almost 9 months, before he died, and excuses were all we heard. What should the family and resident expect? I'll tell you and it is exactly what was in the contract. We paid monthly, on time. We lived up to our part, Sage Valley didn't.

The rooms are adequate and the food is good. My biggest concern is the interaction between staff and residents in Generations/Memory care. Many times I went to visit my loved one and found residents just sitting uninvolved. We were told my loved one would get activity based on their individual care. We really didn't get that. I saw some care staff on their phones more than interacting. There are a few workers that are caring and loving individuals. They can't work all the time tho. I don't feel the workers are trained to interact with the residents. My loved one had hearing aids and oxygen. We were told that wouldn't be a problem and that taking care of those needs were part of their care plan. Most of the time we couldn't feel confident those needs were being met. We went daily to visit and made sure our loved one was as active as possible. If you want a place for your loved one to eat and sleep and not much else then this is the place for you. Attention isn't paid to Memory Care like Assisted Living. Why not? I asked a question on Sages Facebook site and now can't log on Sages site. Why? Why are people afraid of questions? Look deep, not just at the pretty stuff. Make unscheduled visits before deciding

A year ago I recommended Sage. After nine months I decided I needed to update my review. There was a change in a director. It took about 5 months to find one. In the meantime a corporate person was sent to fill in. Not much was done to improve activities or care for the individuals in the Memory Care during that time. In 9 months I would say 3/4 or the time my dads hearing aids were in wrong and half the time we would come in and my dads Inogen battery for his oxygen wasn't charged. We were there every day to make sure my dad was as active and engaged as possible. Huge turnover in staff and not a lot of accountability in making sure the staff knew the needs of the residents. If you want a place that provides a bed and food and not much of anything else at a premium price then Sage is your place.

My father has moved into Sage Valley Senior Living. The staff is very friendly, and the place is very helpful. The facility is very clean. It's brand new. They had addressed every concern that we had for my father. They're very easy to work with. We like to place. We recommend it. We got a private room with a courtyard view. It has a window and a bathroom. They do all your laundry, and they do all the cleaning. The food is good. They have activities. They have several sitting areas to watch TV and do other things. They have puzzles, etc. They try to engage with the patients. And if you request that they check on them periodically for a few minutes, they're willing to oblige. The staff members are really good. They have a calendar full of activities. Most of that is for assisted living, but they will include my father in some of those. They have a movie theater.

We will be using Sage Valley Senior Living for respite care for my mother. When my mother and I first went in, there was a big welcome sign on the center table, which impressed us. It said, "Welcome to Sage Valley! We are so glad you are here!" That made us feel at home like we were special. They immediately greeted us, offered us some water, started taking us on the tour, and explained every room. There was a little exercise room, two respite rooms, and several courtyards that you can go out that had shade with a ceiling fan so you can keep cool. There were flowers and little fountains. There is a place where you can go get refreshments. There is a necklace or a button that you can access help for anything, including if you're hungry or you need a wheelchair because you don't feel like walking. You can push the button and they will come to help you, which is impressive. Outside of the respite area is a small library room, so she can have access to any books. Within less than 100 feet is a nice restaurant-style type of dining where they have a menu and a choice of items to pick out of it, maybe four or five different things for each of the three meals. They can get a snack and get something brought to their room. I met three different people and they were very friendly and caring and made us feel like we were family. My mother was so impressed with the tour that she even asked to see the permanent resident apartments. They had a model to walk in and it was very lovely. The windows also look out into the courtyard, so you have the flowers and fountain to look at. Plus, they allow a resident to have a small dog or cat in their apartment, too, which is lovely. There are several common areas throughout the hallways where they can sit. There's even a little room if it's your birthday or a special family celebration. You can reserve that with a large table. We reviewed the menu and I got to see what was for breakfast, and there were four or five different choices, including an omelet. I wanted to eat there. It was a lovely little restaurant and the tables were arranged where there was plenty of room for a wheelchair or a walker to get around. It's very roomy and nice. It was the only one that had no obligation for a minimum amount of time for respite. A lot of them even wanted a whole month and I'm not going to leave her for a month.
