Mom ended up at Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. We chose that not only for the value or the price, but also its location. She was only there a little while before she passed but the staff were wonderful. Her room was comfortable. It had room to be personalized a little bit more, but we were just not able to do that. They have some crafting things going on there and they also had some of the ladies sitting around the table, and they were doing their nails one day. They had someone in one of the other rooms where they were trying to do chair yoga or chair exercises with some of them. They have an enclosed courtyard that was accessible to the memory care unit.

We went to Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. Everybody was very friendly. We got to talk to a couple of residents and they were very upbeat. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. Everything was very clean. The staff during the visit was wonderful.

Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch was nice. I saw their memory care, and the staff showed me a room. The room was very adequate. It was big for a studio, I thought. The staff seemed very attentive to the residents. The residents were engaged in an activity, which was good to see. And it sounds like they have a variety of activities for them to do. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and had been at the facility for a while, so she seemed seasoned.

Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch was a nice place, and we liked it. The tour we had was great. Latoya was very informative and very caring. One of the residents had an issue at one time while she was showing us around, and she jumped right on the phone to make sure it was taken care of. It was awesome. I enjoyed the fact that not everybody was actually over the hill and had one foot out the door already. There were some people about my dad's age, so that was a plus. I liked the rooms that I was shown. There was a bed, lamps, a TV, a couch, a microwave, and a fridge. Some of them had patios. One of the rooms she showed us didn't have a patio but it had a back door, so you could let your dog out to run around the courtyard. It was an enclosed courtyard, so there was no outside access.

My dad is in Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. It's nice, it's just that my dad may need more care than what they can provide. The staff members are very sweet. The memory care and the room are great. I'm wanting him in a facility like that. I don't want him in a nursing home that was built in the 1960s and not updated. I want him in a place where the atmosphere is encouraging and bright and the people are kind. The dining area is nice. They also tend to fix the residents things that they like. We give them a list of what my dad would prefer like some of his favorite foods, and they try to cater to the residents. They have tables scattered throughout the room that have different things like activity boards and puzzles, and the caregivers spend one-on-one time with the residents, like putting a puzzle together because they are in a memory care unit. They also have bingo. They have a lot of volunteers that come in. There was an African-American that was there that sings and the voice that he had was incredible. Any of the residents in memory care, if their family happened to be there, and the volunteers there singing in the other part, which was just assisted living of the facility, you might bring your loved one to hear any volunteer that's there performing, so there's just a lot of wonderful things about Brookdale.

We went to Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch out in McKinney yesterday to check in, but we left. We were ready to move into it, but we turned around. We actually have already bought furniture, but we took it yesterday and left. The biggest problem they have was they didn't have enough people there; they are an assisted living place. My mother is bed-bound, so she's gotta have somebody that can do total care for her. The residents there seem to be where they can still get up and move around and stuff. It just wasn't going to be the right place for her. They didn't do some of her medicines. They couldn't give her insulin shots, and they were going to switch to insulin tablets. She had to get out of her bed at least 30 minutes a day. She had to be able to do that to qualify for living there. There are too many rules for a person that's 95 years old that's got cancer and is in pain. That's just not what we need. We need more nursing care. The saleslady was extremely nice. I liked her a lot, but she didn't fill us in on a lot of things. That's one reason we made a mistake because we weren't seeing the things that they do there. By the time we found out, we were already moving in. Yesterday I went up to the front desk, and there was nobody there. I waited 15 minutes, and nobody's at the front desk. When my kids came to the door to bring some furniture, I had to go all the way back into the lunchroom area to find somebody. He wasn't even in charge. There's also nobody roaming the hallway. No nurses, no doctors, no nothing. My mother rang the little bell. They showed her how to use that if she needed to change her diapers or pants. The lady that came was nice, but she acted like it was kind of an insult to ask her to change my mother's pants. I don't want that. Then she says, "Well, do you have a bag?" They're not even going to have supplies on what a person like my mom needs. As much as we liked the place, it was kind of like an apartment. We kept telling my mom you're going to your new apartment. She maybe would feel like it was something nice to look forward to. She can't even walk around into her room or get up to get anything, so she doesn't need that type of room. It's a lovely place. It was recommended to us, but it's just not what we need for her. Everything is clean. It smells good. It's designed pretty, and it's quiet there. It's not bad at all. The food looked good. They brought lunch for my husband and me. It tasted good, and it is probably healthier than what my mom gets in the house.

Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch was very nice. We really liked that place. It was very clean and well kept. They had a lot of activities for everybody, and the layout was nice. There were a couple of large courtyards, and the staff we met were really good. They went out of their way to come and introduce themselves.

We really loved Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. They were super careful about COVID. When we walked in we had to put their PPE masks on, a shield, and had to use sanitizer on our hands. Then we answered a bunch of questions and had our temperature checked. Although everyone makes you do the temperature check and makes sure you wear masks, Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch went a little step above. They let us walk through the facility and saw an area where the people were playing some games with each other. It seemed like a really great environment. The rooms were lovely and everything was clean. They had carpeting in the main area where people play games and stuff, but every single one of the rooms had a hard surface point. The facility was excellent. There were two little outdoor courtyards between the little apartments, which were nice. The people were just really, really caring, and helpful. We weren't able to see the dining area the second time we visited, because they were eating and I thought that was great. They wouldn't let us go by where there were a lot of the people, and they were really protecting their residents.

We toured the assisted living and memory care of Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. The appearance of the place was great. The layout would have worked better for my in-laws. However, when we were on the tour and we went over to the memory care side, there was this girl sitting in the corner playing on her phone. As soon as she saw a tour coming through, she jumped up and pretended she was working. Since that was the side that Mom was going to be on, we felt that there were people there that didn't like to actually work and that would not be good for Mom. We immediately decided this was not the place; they had lazy people there. The dining area was fine and the place was fine. The only issue was we saw that happening and we realized that that would not be a good place for our loved one. Nevertheless, the person who assisted us was awesome. We talked to a couple of the residents and they loved it there, but they were on the assisted living side. The room was standard, which was fine. It was a nice community.

Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch wasn't my first choice, but I like it. It wasn't as nice as some of the other places, just because it's an older community. It's just dated, but everything it had to offer was reasonable. They had a good price and people there were good. The staff was accommodating, the person who showed me around was good and the nurse in-charge of the memory care was helpful. Probably the most helpful was getting to talk to a resident who had been there for 12 years. Their rooms were a little small, and I prefer rooms that have a separate living area. The room that I saw there was all confined, it was too much like a nursing home or hospital room and not a home environment. But everything was clean, we just could do better.

My mom is at Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch. The staff has been very good in helping her adjust to assisted living. She wanted to stay at home, but they helped with the transition. They were very good about explaining how to deal with it and what to expect. They have all sorts of arts and crafts. Entertainers like singers and musicians come in, and high school drama students come and do skits. There are exercise classes, sing-alongs with one of the residents playing the piano, and bingo. My mother's sister said they had a wide variety of foods that were excellent and nutritious. The executive director, Andrea, and the wellness director, Christie, are superb in keeping us informed about Mom's progress. As Mom was adjusting, they would send us pictures of her going to do activities, making friends, and having coffee. Those two ladies went above and beyond.

Brookdale is an older facility which is not a problem, but it did not appear to be maintained very well. The facility needed painting and just seemed very cramped. The dining room was small, and the workers were having difficulty getting around in order to serve the food. It was not homey.

They are a one story facility with courtyard access, tiled floors and will accept pets this was the major reason for choosing this facility for my Mom.

Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch was clean and it had everything that we needed, but the rooms were very small, and my father-in-law would never go for something like that.

Emeritus was a very nice facility but it was more costly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean. They didn’t offer quite as much as far as getting the residents out of their apartments as opposed to the one we chose. But they really had their decor fixed up nicely. They have bingo, movie night and outings by taking the residents to places.

Emeritus was a very nice place. It was clean and nice. The staff was very nice. Everybody was very friendly. The rooms were very nice but they're really just not what my dad was looking for. He was looking for more of an apartment style and this was more of a studio style. I had been in the dining area and it was very nice, though I hadn't tried the food. They did have some different activities going on.

We were very impressed with the Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch. It was extremely clean and well-kept. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The nursing staff was very well-informed because my mother-in-law was taking B12 shots and they said they would be able to handle that. I was really impressed with the fact that they would be able to take care of my mother-in-law's needs. My father-in-law is also legally blind and they seemed like they were well-equipped in handling their situations. I also like the fact that it was just one floor, so if there was an emergency, they would be able to get out very quickly. They just seemed very organized. I felt really comfortable with my in-laws being there. We really like the rooms. We looked at a two-bedroom with a living room. It was very spacious. We also looked at a studio that had a door that opened out into the garden, but it was awfully small. Also, the waiting period was going to be pretty long. Nevertheless, the people living there were very friendly. The activities director keeps them very busy. There was a lot of to do there. Also, they did outings. Overall, it was really a nice place. I'm really impressed with it. I would recommend them to others.

Emeritus is a nice place. It seemed newer and fresher. It had a mini-kitchen. They have various sizes of rooms. They have a sitting area where you can get a couch in there, and Mom could have visitors. She has passed through McKinney for years, so it's a known place to her and she wouldn't be traveling too much. The food smelled very good, and it seemed like the kind of food that my mom eats.

The staff seemed to be friendly and accommodating at Emeritus Stonebridge. The apartments seemed comfortable and slightly larger. Their location was even better. It's just that their price range was over the bar.

I think Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch was a very good facility. It was small but very nice. However, when we went in there, we didn't realize that it was assisted living only. We were looking for independent, assisted, memory care, and health care all in the same campus. Nevertheless, the staff there was just lovely. They were very helpful, very concerned and caring. We were very impressed with them. Regarding activities though, I didn't see anything because we weren't really interested in them. Also we didn't ask to go see any of those things. Apparently, they did have some things going on. They had people playing cards and things like that. Overall, we were impressed with the facility especially with the people working there.

The whole place is a wonderfully managed facility. The staff are always helpful and nice and remember all the patients by name. The kitchen and dining area is well decorated and doesn't have the "sterile hospital" type look to it that I have seen at other nursing homes. The rooms and hallways are always clean and well maintained.

My family used to volunteer here every few weeks as part of the church I used to attend. Every week, someone from our church went to go teach a short, simple Christian sermon. The weeks that it was my dad's turn to teach, our whole family went. This particular nursing home is one of the cleanest, well-kept nursing homes I've been to. I'd volunteered at a few nursing homes before and had seen ones dirtier than others. The staff actually seemed to care about the residents here; the residents were treated well and most were happy with their stay. The facility provided many activities for the residents to participate in: bingo night, hair and nail days for the women, church services, holiday dinners. Many of the residents were cheerful, they were rarely ignored by the staff, if ever. I always found it sweet when the staff knew the residents by name; instead of just another number, residents were treated well.

After 60 years of living in San Diego, California, at the tender age of 82, the idea of change was not something easily embraced. Yet, I was fully aware that my health issues were going to need more assistance as the years passed. Emeritus at Stonebridge Ranch was my final decision for many reasons. First of all, no matter how cosmetically beautiful a place is, and this place certainly has an elegant style, it ultimately comes down to the staff providing the service for me. From the front desk, to the nurse's station, there must be genuine people who care. Here, there is an atmosphere of love and concern. The staff takes the time to know each resident as an individual with individual needs and concerns. There is a family atmosphere which spills into all aspects. Because of its size it is possible to get to know every one at least on a first name basis. We can help each other if necessary, make friends, share experiences. Also there is a real effort made to offer activities so that we can stay as busy as we chose to be. Not having to clean or cook contributes to the relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes in the morning when I look out of my cozy apartment onto the patio where I keep my flowers, I realize that my moving here all the way from California on my own was a rather bold move. Now I realize its been over four years since I made that decision. Then I smile because I know that this is home.

My mother Jean has been at Kingsley Place for two years now. From the moment I stepped into Kingsley I knew this was her new home. I'd had a hard time trying to get her to move out of her home, but Sharon and the staff were excellent at helping me through every step and we successfully moved her in. It has been a great experience for my mom. The staff is excellent, the food is excellent and she stays active and social with her friends. I would highly recommend this residence and hope you will too.....
