Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront was clean. My cousin stayed there. There was plenty of staff and the staff was very attentive. The food was very good. The activities were wonderful. My cousin doesn't qualify for assisted living right now because of her condition but if she were to get better and reach that point, I would have no doubt and no hesitation in taking her back there. They had lots of activities.

We loved Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront. When we walked in, there was a little sign banner saying "Welcome" to me and my aunt, so she got so excited. The people were super, super friendly. We were supposed to be there for an hour, and we were there like two hours. The lady spent a lot of time with us answering questions, and we took a tour of the whole place and loved all of it. The people who work there and the residents were just so friendly. We looked at the menu and it all looked great. The location was perfect. Everything that my aunt could want, they had there. They have a hair salon or someone who does your hair. They even have a doctor that comes to the place if you choose that doctor. It was just really nice. They had a beautiful seating area outside because my aunt liked to sit outside.

We are choosing Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront for my mother. Everyone there, the staff and people that were living there, were just very friendly, outgoing, and welcoming. I didn't have any complaints. The staff member who assisted me was very professional and very knowledgeable. She was great to walk around with. She knew everybody's name, took the time to say hi, and was just very pleasant. The place looked very clean. We saw a lot of different units and they were all nice and being fixed up. We were happy with it.

I'm in Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront. I like everything about it. We get three meals a day. They keep the place clean. They have light housekeeping for all apartments. I couldn't ask for anything better. They've got very good staff. It's quite a large staff also. We have games we play. Everything here is a five. I have not seen anything that's unsatisfactory.

Juniper Village at the Guadalupe Riverfront was old. We did not like the unit. It was small, and it was not very well-maintained. They didn't seem to want to do any updating on it. The food was pretty good. The room was a little old, but it seemed OK. They weren't very accommodating when we started talking about making some updates to the unit we were looking at. It's a good location. It's right on the river. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and good places to walk.

We toured the Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront. The floor looked easier to keep clean and easier for wheelchairs and people to move around. They said putting large rugs was fine. Like, if you had a sitting area and you wanted like an eight by ten rug in there, that would be fine. We saw a 1-bedroom and a studio. The rooms all had some type of kitchen unit. In the studio, it was smaller. And they said they were also putting in larger refrigerators. They also had the Alexa system, which I didn't care for, but they said it was very helpful for some people because you can order things through that. There was no charge for it, and you could turn it off if you didn't want it. It's a large place, and has small balconies, even though it's like a three-story building. They also have open seating areas. The one thing I like about Juniper was that you could rent month to month. They also have at least two large open dining areas. I have only met the intake person and maybe two or three other people, but they all seem happy to be working there. They were polite and friendly. Juniper has elevators.

Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront smells and looks clean. We like the residents there. There's a good number of both men and women. They have nice social activities and outdoor areas where people can go and sit. My sister likes it there. It's pretty and there seems to be a good number of people on the staff. They're flexible about the meals, too. They're not stuck on certain times, which makes it nice for somebody who maybe doesn't want to get out of bed early. She gets three meals a day and likes the food. I've eaten there also and the food was very good.

DO NOT allow your loved one to live at Juniper Village if they have any type of memory disease (Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc). While they are a good facility for independent or assisted living, they are not equipped, staffed, or able to care for those with memory issues. If you search the internet for memory care facilities, Juniper Village populates on the search, meaning that Juniper has entered those key words to describe their services. We moved our precious Mom to Juniper in September after she was evaluated by their staff and were assured they would be able to care for her safely. Unfortunately, she was only there for six weeks before we had to move her to an actual memory care center as Alzheimer’s patients do not do well when they are moved. We have never dealt with Alzheimer’s, did not know what to expect, and relied on the expertise of the staff at Juniper. After moving our Mom, Juniper would not refund the $1,800 “community fee” even though they acknowledged they had not assessed Mom correctly when they made a home visit prior to her moving in and she was only there for six weeks.

Juniper Village at Guadalupe Riverfront is a great facility. They take real good care of them. The independent living is the part where my mom is, and it's really good. We really like it and she's doing good. She has her own apartment and they have dining facilities. Right now, they take COVID precautions, so I feel really good about that. They have an exercise class, movies that they show on some evenings, some prayer groups, church services, activities for the people, transportation if they need to go to a doctor or the store, and housekeeping. She loves the food there and it always smells really good. It's three hot meals a day. The staff is very friendly, and I've never had trouble getting responses from them. If I have questions, I can call them or email them and they always get back to me and work with me if I need to get something taken care of. It's located right on the Guadalupe River, too, so she can walk along the river.

We toured and spent an hour or so there, and it was great. We loved it, but our trouble is we can't sell my mother-in-law on it. They were very professional, gave us options, and showed us what was available. We had a good experience with them. It was an in-person tour, and the person that showed us around was very good. She knew her stuff. It was very professionally laid out and set up well. The bathrooms were nice, even for a handicap person.

Moving here has been an excellent experience for my mother; she's settling in really well. Even with the COVID-19 restrictions, she's been able to do the social distancing but socialize and meet people. She's really happy and it's been a wonderful experience for all of us. They're doing some limited activities and they're doing Mexican train dominoes and they're doing some other exercise activities. They're still being fed in their rooms, but those in the independent living are still able to get out and walk around the property. She's waiting for the dining room to open back up at some point. She has a beautiful little apartment, she has basically a full kitchen, and it's perfect for her. The meals are way more than she can eat so she skips one meal a day and just has leftovers from her other meals; she is able to just heat her meals. It's the perfect setup for her and she has plenty of room. Because of the restrictions, there was only one of us allowed to tour the place with her. I have been in her room and down the hallway, and I was able to see the dining room through the windows.

The staff just didn't seem as friendly and didn't seem very personal to me. I didn't like my gut feeling so I didn't choose them.

It was very excellent. The staff was very nice and very informative. They showed us around the different rooms that they have, and showed us the cafeteria. We walked through the whole building basically. We were there probably an hour or more. It's not far from where we live. They have all kinds of activities, and they take the residents to different places to eat and to Wal-Mart. They have all kinds of activities there in the home also every day. They keep everybody busy.

I will move in on the 29th of this month. Everything looked just fine; it was in Kerrville, and I didn’t want to go to San Antonio. I got a 1-bedroom apartment with a bathroom and kitchen facility.

My dad is in an apartment here. The place is excellent. He has a private care nurse. He is very happy there and does not have any complaints about the food.

It was a lovely place, and the people were very nice. I knew a lot of them, but it wasn't what I needed. The staff was great. The rooms were small, but they seemed to be efficient for the residents. They seemed to have them arranged so they were okay. They were happy with them. The facility was close, which was handy. It seemed like it was nice and clean, and the people seemed very friendly. They had a bus that took the residents to different places. I would definitely recommend it if people can afford it.

I like everything. The smells were good. There was nothing upsetting about the odor. Their apartments were a little bit small though. Outside of that, the people were lovely. Everybody was very pleasant. All the people sitting around looked very happy. The director who showed us around was very pleasant and very accommodating.
