My friend was in Hilltop Village Nursing And Rehabilitation Center. It was nice, clean, and airy. He was in a single room. It was kind of small, but it was adequate for a bed and everything. He seemed comfortable there. It's not as fancy as some of the others around here, but it seemed stable. The premises looked to be well kept.

My cousin is at Hilltop Village Nursing And Rehabilitation Center and it's been a negative experience. The first 30 days, they were great, and then it just deteriorated from there. It's a large facility and it's fairly well maintained, but they are short of staff. Some of the staff that are there are just standing around talking rather than caring for the patients. I saw that a lot. It is not a facility that I could recommend. Some of the aides were pretty good, but overall, I was not impressed. The meals were OK. They were nutritious enough. I have no idea how they tasted, but just seeing my cousin's meals, they had meat and vegetables, and they looked pretty good. It was sufficient. The facility was good. My cousin is up against a window on a very uncomfortable bed. She is sharing a room and it is just very cramped. There were times when I went in there and it really stunk and then the next time, it would have been cleaned and so cleanliness was off and on. The activities were non-existent.

My friend for 65 years, who joined the military with me in 1969 just got moved here from another facility. He smelled really bad, his hair was overgrown and tangled but he was cleanshavened. I'm on his HIPPA list and I asked the head nurse if they would inform me if he passed away. (He is 100+ miles from me.) the head nurse said they could not be bothered with that task. I asked because he doesn't look too good. I'm not satisfied with that answer and will call the Disabled American Veterans organization and others to get some help in this matter.

They don’t give showers on a regular basis. The food sucks! They are always short staffed. They right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Very poor communication with family members and residents.

Hilltop Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was not as nice looking as the others, but the care was much better. They do nursing home services, and they have a skilled wing. They provide excellent care. However, it's an older facility, so the appearance could use a facelift.

My mother died 9 days after being here...supposedly for respite...they didn't give her pills when she was supposed to have them, she came back bloated, she had a bad blister that had busted, she fell the first night and no one called me. She already had heart failure and diabetes which I didn't know when I put her in...but she wasn't bloated nor in bad shape when she went in. If you love someone, don't put them here....she was chilled so couldn't get naked for a bath so she came home smelling of body odor...my mother was a very clean woman and the least they could have done is wash her private area when they changed her diaper. One of the staff told her she could take her pills like always when she went home, but when she was there she would take them the way she wanted mother to take them...all at once so she wouldn't have to do much I guess. I highly recommend you NOT consider this as a caring place...looks nice but I no longer have a mother and I don't say they brought it on but I say they sure didn't do anything to help....why didn't they tend to her when she was so bloated her eyes were like slits?

My husband was in Hilltop, but they couldn’t keep him because they didn’t have a lock down area. It was a nice place with the dining room was set up like a restaurant, and a part of it was set up for people who were more impaired.
