My wife has been a resident in 4 different nursing homes in 4 different cities. From our experience Brixton should be considered as one of the premier nursing homes in existence. The quality of the nursing, the maintenance of the facility, the food menu and the staff leave nothing to be desired. From our personal experience of dealing with other facilities I can say, without reservation, that Brixton should be reviewed as a candidate for anyone in your family for long term care. I highly recommend it

I had a nice tour at The Brixton at Horseshoe Bay, it's a brand-new facility. Right now they only have the short-term care portion opened, they said the long-term care portion of the facility would be opening soon. They had nice, big, open areas where the clients can play games or watch movies. They had activities. They had semi-private and private rooms, it was more of a hospital setting to me. They had hospital rooms, the double rooms had curtains dividing the beds. If you choose to get a private room, it has an attached bathroom. The staff that helped us was very nice, and very efficient, she did a nice tour of the facility, and was very informative. She answered all of my questions.
