Rooms are average. The food is the best there is. My wife has been in 5 rehabs over the past year and let me tell you there food is second to none. Staff is very engaging, nice and caring and really takes good care of their patients. My wife is now long term and has been there 1 month. Mgmt is also on their toes. Great Staff!!! Very satisfied!

My mother stayed here for rehab after a recent hospital stint to get stronger. Her health only declined while here. One evening she reported she thought she was having a heart attack to the nurse. She said she would be right back, was going to get nitro and oxygen. She did not return for 3 hours only with oxygen while she sat there in pain and terrified. After another few days of serious chest pains she insisted on going to the ER. Discovered she’d had a heart attack and gets open heart surgery on Monday. They did nothing, not in the moment or in the subsequent days of a critical illness. Thankfully she survived the negligence of this place and will not return, ever!

My mom was at Life Care Center of Haltom. It was a very nice place. The front desk lady was very professional. She gave me the details when I asked a question. When I got there for the tour, she was able to show me around the place. Others have that bad odor smell, but Life Care Center of Haltom didn't have that. It was very nice and clean, and the residents seemed OK. The staff was pretty professional. They had a bingo activity. There were activities in the living area with the TV. They had church services on Sundays, too. My mom ate in her room, and it was OK.

This facility truly cares about their patients and families. My grandmother is very happy here and constantly raving about the activities they have for their residents to participate in. The ONLY complaint I hear now is about the food. But it honestly doesn't matter who made the food she thinks it's too salty. Understand she says that about my food as well. However recently she has been given less choices. She previously was allowed to select a burger or grilled cheese after dinner But those choices are no longer allowed now. I do want to mention her nurses and caregivers. They are amazing and she loves all of them and I'm grateful for the care and love they give to her. Most importantly she is HAPPY here. And honestly that's all I really care about.

This skilled nursing center was negligent in caring for my mother-in-law. They failed to recognize basic and obvious signs of mental strain. She had slurred speech and was very disoriented for over a week, and they did nothing. We only found out because family members were calling us concerned about the way she was talking to them on the phone. We immediately called 911 to had her transferred to the hospital. After only 3 hours we found out that her brain had swollen where she has two large masses. This place did not cause the medical problem but they Neglected to recognize Her deteriorating health, that at best, delayed necessary treatment and at worst could have caused her to die. I wouldn’t trust them to take care anyone.

I'm only giving it 1 star, because the PT and OT was great. Other than that, it was THE.WORST!! Truly was a horror story for 5 weeks. Administration doesn't do their jobs, nurses and aides are extremely overworked, and communication is sorely lacking. Horrible place!

I'm only giving one star because zero is not an option. My father was a patient for 3.5 months. They let my him steadily and rapidly decline from his baseline for over a week and did nothing to medically intervene while he lost his ability to communicate effectively and move without assistance. I am appalled at the obvious lack of care he received when he so desperately needed it.

DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY! Therapy staff and gym is good and comparable to other places. However, nursing and aides are very unprofessional. While my dad was there, he was put on a lot of medication and was out of most of the time. When we changed facilities, they adjusted his medication and he was just fine. Seems like they just want to dope then up so they don't have to mess with the patients. Everytime I can, my dad needed to be changed and sometimes it took 45 minutes or longer to get someone to help.

I would not use this facility again, my father was sent there for rehad, after a feeding tube was put in. He's also a diabetic with amputations, mild dementia. The CNA's there are very untrained do not care one time I was leaving his room and the door knob was covered in ointment! the stuff they put on his behind!!, he developed a bed wound and they never reported it, we found it covered in feces, blood and ointment. He was unresponsive for a full week, before they decided he needed to be in the hospital, disregarding our concerns... Now my father is in the hospital with c-diff bacterial infection and is very septic, he's been unresponsive for 2 weeks. I'm positive he was contaminated at this facility, I would not take my loved ones here ever.

I do not think this facility is a good place to send your loved one unless you visit on the regular as with other faciltys, It is clean but the Cna's Need a lot of work as well as some of the administrative staff. People will walk right pass the call lights and not even bother to answer them. If you want your loved one to get the best care always visit this facility or any facility on the regular basis.

My wife is in Life Care Center now. It is an older place but they keep it up very well. It also smells pretty good. They got five different wings. They got a lot of staff in their rehab and hospice care and they are doing as well as could be expected for a place like that. I don't have any complaints about them.

They have repeatedly disregarded Dr. orders to maintain my mother on private pay and off her insurance (which I understand pays less than going rate). Nursing staff is not bad, but administration is all about the dollar with little regard for patients welfare. Stay away!

My father has been sent to stay at Life Care Center of Haltom a few times. He usually goes there after he has surgery and the purpose of his stay is for rehab. My father has diabetes, among other health issues, and has had several amputations due to the complications associated with diabetes. As of right now, he has one leg amputated below the knee, the other is amputated above the knee, and he has had 2 fingers amputated on his right hand. The staff at this facility is generally nice and friendly. They smile and say hello and make you feel welcome. They are not always quite on top of things - my father also goes to dialysis 3 times a week because he also has kidney failure and they "forgot" to take him one day! My mom and I were angry because that is life or death. I'm still not quite sure what happened but he went the next time he was supposed to go.As far as the facility itself, it is clean and nicely decorated. The main problem that has come about with my father staying there is that the bathroom doorways, and the bathrooms for that matter, are not large enough to fit a wheelchair. Now, if this was just about any other type of building, this might be acceptable, but it's a nursing home! Probably half of the residents, if not more than half, are in wheelchairs. This causes problems when my dad goes there because even if he is able to transfer and use the bathroom, he cannot get in there so he has to wear diapers.
