We did a tour of Simpatico East. One thing that we didn't feel very comfortable with was the fact that it's a two-story building, and we felt like it might not be safe for my mother-in-law at that time because of that. It was a short tour. We got to see a couple of rooms. One of the things that we didn't care too much about either was the fact that some of the rooms had carpet, and we didn't think that would be good for her. When we pointed it out to the lady that gave us the tour, she said that they were in the process of removing that also. Other than that, the location seemed pretty clean, all in all. The staff was very informative, and she took the time to answer questions. They were very receptive, said hi to us, and were ready to answer any questions we had; they were nice.

The food is horrible (actually inedible at times), room was full of mold and mildew, air conditioning did not work, rude and uncaring staff. Awful place!!

Sunridge at Cambia was depressing. They had average rooms. They had a list of activities, and they had activities every day. They just seemed to be really unprepared for anything. We walked by it, and the young lady pointed out, “There is the dining facility.”

SunRidge at Cambria is nice and clean, and people seemed to be well attended. My grandmother is getting 3 meals a day and medications there. It's perfect, it's a beautiful place, and she has all the basic things to use. My dad and I are happy with it. There are several hospitals in the area, wound care centers, and several Walgreens.

My father is at SunRidge at Cambria. The people are great. I am very happy with it, but the only thing I wish is they had people on duty 24/7 at the front of the facility. The staff is very professional and caring. He has never looked better, so his condition has improved. The rooms and apartments are fine, and they keep them clean. The grounds are nice-looking and the location is easy to get to. Dad likes the food. They have bingo and take them places. Dad's a retired vet, so the Marine Corps Reservists go and do activities over there with the retired military.

SunRidge at Cambria was pricier but nicer than other places. The people were nice, and there’s not a whole lot you can say when it was just one visit, but they showed me around, and they were nice. It was on a weekend, and there weren't many salespeople, so I didn’t get a lot of information. It just seemed like a nicer place to live, like a home. I was in there for a short period of time because there weren't any salespeople there. They had one person that kind of took me through, but it was a fast trip. Anyone that I talked to would say hi; they were nice people. It seemed clean and had an easy flow to it.

We visited SunRidge at Cambria for my mother. Mom really liked the place itself, but the price was way too high. And the concern she had there was that, because it is an assisted-living facility, there were some folks sitting in their wheelchairs or somebody had a chair in the lobby. There was a lady who greets visitors, but the second time when I took Mom, there was nobody there. Nobody was in the office either. The rooms were all small studios. The staff showed us different sizes of them. There were some furnished ones, so Mom can get an idea of how she can go in with her furniture. The facility looked well-managed. They have different arts and crafts, they have some musicians that come in, and they have Zumba.

I had a meal at SunRidge at Cambria and met some of the residents and staff. It was a very nice place. It had lots of light, they had a lot of activities, and the food was good. It's also newer, it looked nicer, and I felt better about it than the other one.

I visited Sunridge of Cambria. The lady who gave me the tour was very nice and very helpful. It was very well kept. It looked like everybody was happy. This would be a place to consider. I was very pleased with the presentation and the facility. Regarding location, it seemed like a nice neighborhood and also there is a hospital close by.

We went to check out the Cambria assisted living facility in El Paso while we were there looking at places for our aunt. The lovely stone exterior reminded us of a chateau. The interior was just as lovely, with very nice furnishings and foliage throughout. There is a lot of light, as well. The main dining area was really lovely, with an open-air, spacious feel and french doors to a courtyard. More like something you'd find the garden setting of a hotel eatery. We enjoyed a light meal there that was really delicious. The snack list we were shown featured plenty of healthy options that are offered whenever the residents desire. The apartments were cozy, well designed, nicely decorated and had a lot of light. The library was also lovely and had the same feeling - plenty of seating against large windows and nice light. There's a lovely piano in one of the main areas and French doors throughout, which really add nicely to the breezy decor. There is nothing stuffy about this place, which we really liked. The facility can accommodate most anyone with any type of issue -- and the levels of care can be easily adjusted. We really liked this feature as well. The staff seemed very caring and the residents looked like they really enjoyed living here. We could see that our aunt would really fit in well here.
