I moved to Sunstone Village. I am very happy. The apartments were just redone. It's clean as a pan. Everything is very convenient. I have had a couple of little glitches and they fixed them immediately. They walked through as far as showing me the premises when we first looked, it was very good. The manager is very efficient. It's a one-bedroom apartment. It has lots of storage and the kitchen is huge. I have not had a chance to participate in the activities, but they do them all the time and send out a monthly schedule of what's going on.

I moved into Sunstone Village. I like the way it's laid out. It's very, very private. The apartments are cute and convenient. I've made a lot of friends here. The people are very friendly. The office workers are all very nice. They keep it very clean and very quiet. They have activities every day. They have exercise, and you can go play cards or board games up there. They have a big exercise room. They have a pool. They have bingo. They have Bible study. They go on shopping trips. They go to the casino once in a while. They go to Walmart, Target, and Dollar Store. Once in a while, they go to lunch someplace. They have Wine Down on Wednesday evening. With maintenance, when you need something done, it gets done right away.

I went to look at Sunstone Village. I was on the phone with the girl who was going to do a tour with me, and she was so friendly and happy. But when I went there, she never looked at me once. We got into the golf cart, and she took me to where I would have an apartment. I felt like she thought I was going to steal something from an empty apartment. She followed me. If I stepped back, I would have stepped on her, and I didn't like that. The apartment had somebody who had just moved out, but some repairs needed to be taken care of. It wasn't very presentable. The apartment was very tiny. It had the standard stove and refrigerator. There was a stackable washer and dryer and a closet in the bedroom.

I think Sunstone Village is a good place. It just isn't for us. I thought the staff did a very good job. I saw the apartments. It was clean. I don't know how busy they are, but one thing that struck me was they had one treadmill. For 240 units, that's not very good, unless it's placed, and nobody uses it.

I toured Sunstone Village. It's an excellent place. I saw a two-room apartment. It's a good size. It's spacious. The staff was very sweet. She speaks Spanish, and my first language is Spanish. She was very nice to us. It's very beautiful. The amenities are excellent. I like it a lot. They have spaces for grills.

Sunstone Village is in a good location. It's not on a super busy road, which was important to me, but yet it's close to everything in Denton. The location's great, the property was impeccably made, which is another big deal to me, and it was gated. I looked at a one bedroom. All the places at this facility are little cottages, which I really liked. It's not just one big building up like apartments, they're all cottages. All of them have a garage attached, then you have a little bit of a yard in the front that you can plant. I probably looked at the smallest unit, it was just laid out beautifully. It has a big walk-in closet and a nice-sized kitchen. I was really impressed with everything in this community. I would give it an A rating. I love their clubhouse area, which has a great media room, and it's open 24 hours. It has another big area where you can sit and do puzzles. There's a coffee bar, and if you want to do something special for your family on a holiday, you can do it in that room. The fitness center had tons of nice stuff and a pool. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. I almost didn't go look at it because it was a little bit more than I was willing to pay, and I'm so glad I did. I was a realtor for 35 years and I've also been an apartment manager before. If I would decide on that area, I probably wouldn't look at any other ones and definitely go in and spend the extra money for that. I would spend more money than I had anticipated because I thought it was really worth it. I'm probably one of the toughest critics, but they really did an excellent job on everything, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I moved into Sunstone Village. I'm doing great. I love the community. It's really friendly. I'm so glad I moved. It hits all the right buttons for me at this point. The staff is very friendly, very outgoing, very professional, and answered all my questions, even the stupid ones. My room is classy with marble countertops, stainless steel sinks, a full-size washer and dryer, and a full-size dishwasher, and it has an attached garage. I went into a one-bedroom, so it's a lot smaller than I'm used to, but with my changing needs, it fits me beautifully. I just got to get rid of a lot of furniture. I got a full-size kitchen and full-size appliances. Everything's stainless steel. The dining area is basically like a great room. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all one space. The kitchen has a breakfast bar area and the living room is kind of on the small side. I have a full-size sofa. The living room space is also where I'm setting up my office. It is taking up what normally would have been the sofa space, so I don't have room for a coffee table, but that's OK because I'm by myself, so it works out great for me. Their community center is open 24 hours a day. They have 24-hour coffee going on, an exercise facility, and an outdoor pool and hot tub. They also have daily activities at least Monday through Friday, every couple of hours. There are probably like three or four activities going on daily throughout the week. They also have a Sunday spiritual gathering type thing, nondenominational. They have special events like Valentine's Day and stuff like that. These are like cottages, so there are sidewalks all around. It is a gated community. I see a lot of people walking around. They also have areas where you can walk your dog. In the short time I've been there, which is like maybe a week, I met more people in that week than I did in the 15 years I lived in an apartment structure. The tenants there really make it a great place to live. It's a little on the expensive side, but the quality of life is a lot better than what I had before. It hit all of my priorities.

We love SunStone Village as a 55+ community. The residents and staff are very friendly. There are activities for the residents. All of the apartments are one story with outside entrances. The grounds are very pleasant with many mature trees. There is a very nice club house with a large multi-purpose room for a number of activities for residents. There is a big, well equipped fitness center with a number of instructor led exercise classes. A large, outdoor pool is off the back of the club house with an area for outside grilling. Shopping is very convenient with numerous stores nearby.

Sunstone Village is a nice village. It just didn't fit our purpose. We just saw the village, the community room, and the pool. It was just a general look of the place. The staff who showed me around was friendly, accommodating, and able to answer questions. They're individual apartments with kitchens. It's just a basic apartment community. They had a calendar of activities, and there were quite a few of them. I saw nothing wrong with it. It was clean. It just didn't fit what we were looking for.

We visited Sunstone Village. I would say that the community appeared to be lovely. The management and the organization appeared to be chaotic. They have gone through a management change, but it did not make me feel that my mother was going to be safe or happy at that place. There was new staff and old staff, and it was clear that there was just a difference in perceptions of how the facility was supposed to be run. It was chaotic. They were very nice people, but it was clear that there was conflict. The units are independent homes, and we did get to see one, and it was very lovely. They said that they were preparing other units that were larger and they would call us when they were ready to see, and they never followed up. This is a property that never followed up. I had gone there several times and there was never anybody there to show me the property. When there were people there, they were not accommodating. I think it's a property in conflict, and I'm sorry to say that because it appears to be a lovely property. The unit that I saw was very nice. It was an independent standalone apartment. It was a full apartment with a living area, a dining area, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. This property did not offer any food plan. They did not have a dining area. It's completely independent living. They're actually like cottages, they're independent, and it's not like an apartment building. They had very lovely amenities. They had a pool, a library, and a community room. It looked to be in very good condition and very well-maintained. I would rate them a two because of the chaos.

We are moving here. It's a single level unit, geared to over 55 independent living, and they have continental breakfast in the morning. They have exercises, activities, a theater room, and it's a gated, secure location. They have a 1- and 2-bedroom units, some with garages, and some without. The staff was really good, they explained everything, and they showed us the properties. We met some other people living there, it went well, and it was close to shopping, medical services, and everything. They put out a calendar of activities once a month.
