I have been here at The Waterford at College Station for almost two years now. It's not perfect, but nowhere is perfect. I can't imagine there's anywhere else I would rather live. I am very happy here. The staff is very, very caring. They really go above and beyond. The food gets boring sometimes, but it's very good and it's something that we look forward to at each meal. The servers are the caregivers and they are excellent. We all have our little things that we don't like, and one of them is raisins for me. They know that and if they have a salad that has raisins, my salad comes without raisins and that is special. They do wonderful things like that. Normally, they'll have scrambled eggs and they know I don't like those, so I get a sunny side up egg. The housekeeping is far superior. It couldn't be better. The lady that does it is the most wonderful housekeeper you could have. I have been here nearly two years, and I have a quilt that hangs down in the floor. The corners of the quilt that touch the floor are not even dirty. They respond very quickly to maintenance. There's plenty of things to do if you want to participate. Right now, they're having exercise class and it's beautiful, so they're having it outdoors. I don't participate in that, but there are other things that I can participate in. I think it's expensive but my daughter says it would cost me this much to have lived in my house. It's absolutely worth the pay. I really don't have anything negative about the place. This is one story. It's more like family. You know everybody. Everybody cares about you.

We were a drop in to look around the facility. Dawn & Diane took time to answer our questions. We have just started our research, but this is our top pick for Mom when she needs the help.

The food here at The Waterford at College Station is wonderful, just like eating in a restaurant. The staff is really nice and friendly. You ask them for anything and they try their best to help you. They give good service. When you need something, you press the button, they're right there. Housekeeping is the best we ever had. She does a really good job and she keeps everything always working and keeps everything clean and neat looking for us. The activities teacher always has activities for us to do. There's hardly a dull moment. We have all kinds of games we do. We go on trips during the week, once in a while to a regular restaurant or we go look at museums. We're always doing something. Rent here is a little bit high, but it's well worth it for what they do. It's worth the money.

I'm at The Waterford at College Station. They are really helpful. They offer a lot. They have transportation to and from medical and restaurants. The staff is all good. I haven't met one that was bad. The food seems kind of like in a restaurant or a hotel. It's really good food. The building is always clean. Whenever there's anything that breaks, they fix it immediately. They do really well. There are a lot of activities all the time. There's always more to do here than I could get involved with and there's something for everyone. I think the value is good. When I searched into it, I noticed that other facilities didn't offer as much and charge a lot more.

The staff at Waterford is always friendly & attentive to residents. The facility is not too big, creating a more friendly atmosphere than larger places. Well-run, bright place in a nice setting!

I visited The Waterford last week and I was beyond impressed with the entire facility. Dawn, the director showed us around and she was wonderful, very informative and you could tell she definitely enjoys working there and truly cares about the residents. We toured a one bedroom apartment for my mother and the rooms are very spacious and nice. This was definitely our favorite place that we toured and I am positive we will be moving forward with moving her in here. I highly encourage if you're looking that you give this place a shot!

I had the chance the visit The Waterford at College Station today. The community shows very well and had the opportunity to meet the Executive Director, Dawn, who showed us around and was very personable. You could tell that Dawn took pride in her community and genuinely cared and loved her residents. The one bedroom apartments are so spacious and beautiful. Looking at making the change to The Waterford very soon.

The tour I had at The Waterford at College Station was pretty good. I think the administrator wasn't there, but the person that handles the maintenance and other things gave us the tour. I think the office manager was there as well and we met the activity coordinator for the memory care area. She was in an activity, so we just kind of waved at her and she acknowledged us. They're having renovations going on right now so he showed us the available room type. That room was not renovated yet. He then showed us a renovated room and I think it could have been maybe a little cleaner over there. It wasn't as nice and clean as the other location. It was a nice location, but I think it could have been a little cleaner. Like the room that wasn't renovated, there was a patient in the room so it kind of smelled in there. I don't know if they just needed to clean it for the day or what. They have assisted living there, so that may have something to do with that, but it wasn't as clean and as neat as the other places that I've seen although it wasn't bad. As far as memory care activities, they had stations to work on their memory and cognitive skills. Like they had a baby changing station and simple things like that. They had kind of basic mechanical things that you could do to work on your memory and that kind of thing. They mentioned that they do activities and they have games to try to get them involved in various things. The guy who did the tour told me as much as he knew like they have volunteers that help out and that they can also take patients to doctor visits if a family member is not able to go. They are available to do those types of things. They had a garden in the center of the facility and the place is locked so someone has to let you in.

The Waterford at College Station assisted living had nice and clean rooms. They've gone through remodeling so they've been removing carpets. I don't think any of those places should have carpet, period. It's also a much smaller place compared to the ones I have visited. It has a lot of wonderful amenities for the residents. I did happen to see one resident and her husband, and you could tell that they were happy there. The lady who we met and had a walkthrough with was Robin. She was actually the activity director, and she was wonderful. I thought she was very well-oriented, she wasn't trying to sell it. She showed us supplies, showed us the apartment, and everything that I needed to know. In this place, I could actually see where the nurses' stations was, and I could see the med cart. I think the nurses might have been at lunch or whatever since there was no one standing around, but you could see the med cart in their station area. The staff said that they were still renovating, and that place has been there for quite some time. They have a nice little van to take the residents to Walmart or the H.B as they want. They have a lot of external activities like that. They even have family nights where people come over and they can have a beer. They do that once a month. It was nothing elaborate, but the rooms were well-done and clean. The only drawback that I found in the studio rooms was they didn't have a full-size refrigerator. It was nice though. The hallways were nice and clean in that area.

We had a good tour of The Waterford at College Station. The staff was very good. They had some construction going on at the time and they didn't have a pool, but it looks like the facility is going to be nice when they're done. The memory care unit is very tiny though and that turned us off.

I moved my mother to Waterford in October of last year after a tour by Dawn F. After speaking with Dawn I knew this was the right place for her. She took the time to ensure my wife and I was very comfortable with everything and made the move a pleasant one. She was very hands on with everything to ensure residents were safe as possible during this covid 19 time. Any time that I had a problem or question, Dawn always took the time to answer them. Dawn has a very caring and kind heart for the residents at Waterford and doing an excellent job. Go Team

I moved my mom into The Waterford in May 2019. It was a scary process because she was in the beginning stages of dementia and I knew it would be very confusing for her. We were met by the sweetest, kindest soul when we entered the facility. She introduced herself as Dawn and she loved on Mom immediately. Dawn, Robbin, Pam and Elsa are shining stars and have a calling for caring for the elderly. I visited two other facilities before The Waterford. I was literally in tears because I felt like it was all just business. When I walked into The Waterford I knew Mom was ‘home.’

Dawn F. drew our family to the Waterford College Station. She is personable, responsive, and has high expectations for the facility. Under her direction there have been many positive additions such as remodeling, increase in activities and standards for food services. I highly recommend this establishment.

We toured The Waterford at College Station. Their new manager is very committed to creating a really good community environment. They are in the process of making some corrections and fixing some things that they need to be fixed. I got a sense that she is very much on top of that and very much committed to making those changes. They are in the process of putting stations in the large activity room where you can plant flowers, try on hats, or watch fish in an aquarium. They're in the process of putting in some different stations to stimulate the residents.

I thought the Waterford at College Station was a little outdated but clean. Its not a place I can see my father in. The people I talked to and the residents there seemed to like it there, but its too reminiscent of a nursing home. Its a nice place and kept up well, but the overall feel reminds me of a nursing home thats remodelled into an assisted living facility. They had a good size restaurant/cafeteria place and a decent gameroom. The staff was very nice and very helpful in answering questions. They were really trying to get a good feel or a good vibe going in there. They were doing exercise classes that morning and had activities for them. They were in the process of remodelling, so there was stuff here and there.

We saw The Waterford at College Station. It's clean. They have lots of activities. They have people who are more involved and less involved than my mother. Their ratio of their caregivers to people is adequate for my mother's needs, I think. They have activities scheduled Monday through Friday. They have activities such as a memory game and history game, and bingo is offered every afternoon. Food is presented well, and if you need assistance, that is adequate as well.

The Waterford at College was beautiful. It was brand new and very modern, but you felt more like you were in a hotel than in an apartment because of the elevators, all the inside rooms, and you went down to the halls to your door. Everything was inside or enclosed. Even though it was new and modern, the room sizes were not as big.

My mom is in assisted living at The Waterford at College Station. We needed a facility closer to us that she would like, and she seems comfortable. She doesn't have any complaints about the staff. She talks about how much she likes them and what a good job they do. We don't have any problems with them, either. The overall impression has been positive. The building is well maintained, clean, and attractive.

My mother was a resident in the memory care unit for a little over a year. During that time, she fell and broke her hip. Staff found her and put her in her bed where she stayed overnight before they took her to the hospital. They did not take her to the one that we had requested for emergencies. They do not chart incidents. A family friend found a large knot and bruise on her forehead. The staff knew nothing about it and had no record of it. The staff that provides personal care are either poorly trained or simply do not care. I sat with my Mom on many occasions during meals and saw residents who had trouble feeding themselves sit in front of their plates, then the food was taken away. My mother has gained 19 pounds in the year after we moved her out of there. We also had to provide all of her consumable supplies and frequently weren't told they needed replenishing until after they ran out. This place is poorly run and poorly documented.

The Waterford was a great place. The manager was a super guy. They had assisted living and memory care. The rooms were big, and you got your own bathroom. The food was really good. The staff were very friendly and wonderful. They play bingo and different games. I fell in love with it, and they'll take care of you.
