Adequate size, private bathroom, tv, Lots of empty rooms, Patient enters from out of town coordination, information takes to long, wrong medicine at first. Patient in same gown 3-5 days, bathing sporadic, changing depends fairly consistent. Some personnel friendly and helpful, one nurse helpful, another curt and not real friendly.

My 82 year old mom was placed there after a fall that facture her right arm. (She is right handed) As with any place, you will have your wonderful helpful cna and aids then the ones that just work for a paycheck and don't care about the patient. I will say my mom had more of the wonderful ones then the paycheck ones. I did have a camera in the room, just for my peace of mind of still being able to keep an eye on her. I did have to call up there a few times for her to be cleaned, (she had her phone and would call me if she needed help) and they were in her room within 5 min. to clean her up. My mom is basically blind, hard of hearing and without the use of her right hand, she needed a lot of help. They were patience with her, but they would forget she needed help with her food when it was delivered. On the PT that she needed, I didn't really care how they took so many patients down at one time, (usually around 12 to 15) for warm up, then left them in a wheelchair while they work on 1 or 2 at a time after warm-up, my mom has a really bad back and could not stay in a wheelchair for hour and half, waiting for her turn. They do have two ladies, one was PT and the other OT that really took the time with her and made her do her therapy. If a patient was in pain, they should give them pain medication 15 to 30 minutes before their therapy, so the pain wouldn't be as bad. I was up there everyday and I would have to ask for the medication to be given before therapy, the problem was, they would never come back and take her down for therapy. I was told if their pain level was above a 5, they could not do therapy. She was in there for 20 days and only had therapy 4 times. When it comes to management, I was not really happy with them, they were nice, but it was more of them trying to fill up the facility with patients then caring about them. Oh, let me touch on the food, horrible, no flavor at all even if you added salt and pepper, we were always bringing up food for my mom, so she could eat. Can you find a perfect healthcare facility? Probably, only if you spend a lot of money on the location. I gave 3 stars due to the charge nurses, cna and the aids and cleanliness of the facility. We do need to remember, that as family members, we need to visits up there at all times of the days, we need to help out when we can, most of the times they are understaff (low wages) and some of their patience are handful and very demanding.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Staff is good about asking me needs of my loved one. They have a lot of activities and try to get the residents involved. The facility is very clean and they have a pretty outdoor area where residents can go outside.

I can not say enough about Accel. This is one of the nicest, cleanest, felt like home rehabilitation centers I’ve ever seen. The staff is so helpful, welcoming and supportive. I do not have any complaints about this place they took good care of my father and always made me feel like he was well taken care of and treated with respect and dignity. The rooms have their own bathrooms, the food was healthy and prepared according to my dad’s diet. The nurses were knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. The medication aides, medical records clerk, front desk, the entire staff was just a blessing to me and my family. Keep up the good work Accel employed they all deserve a raise for being exceptional.

My Step Mom was placed in this facility for respit care. Day 1 she fell and broke her hip. Accel did not notify me and did not do anything for her broken hip. Day 2 she died from "complications of a broken hip". They still did not have the decency to notify me. Their lack of care and concern for their patients is astounding. You cannot call and speak to anyone in charge. I am begging you not to place your loved one in this facility.

My dad was there for PT after hip surgery. While in the facility, fell twice during the night. Back in hospital with a new hip fracture. The lack of attention and response time was just awful. We supplied private sitters every afternoon and often popped in. Both falls occurred during the night. Still in the hospital. When I went to retrieve his belongings, I walked into the facility- not one person acknowledged my presence. Went to his room- door closed. Packed all things, put on rolling walker - had that along with cane- rolled all out and NOT ONE STAFF MEMEBER INQUIRED, ASKED QUESTIONS, ETC. In todays' world, not good ! Not real sure the PT did him any good. They basically did maybe twice a day and honestly never checked on him through out the day. The room was also not as clean as it should have been. Brought in wipes and kept things wiped up for him. ie food tray etc. The seat of the wheelchair in the room was filthy. I just hope my dad can recover from all of this- awful experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Absolute train wreck of a facility. Often times let my father spend the day in his own feces, personal clothing frequently disappeared, staff turnover is frequent, meals were skipped because they were placed across the room and he could not get to them (and nobody bothered to respond to call button), pricing was negotiated like a used car facility, and it took 6 days to respond to a medical records transfer so we could get him decent care. ABSOUTELY DISGRACEFUL

My mother was at this facility for short term skill rehab. A week later she had to be admitted to the hospital due to neglect of wound care, stomach problems. Which no one seemed to know anything about...so they say...but I specifically asked them about the care of it and was told by numerous aide that it was being cared for. Being a caregiver myself, I decided to check and what I saw was disgusting...skin tissue was tore. Called for the nurse (which was a fill in from another facility) to look at it and she couldn't believe her eyes so she had to borrow skin cream from my mother roommate to apply on wound. Then she checked my mom stomach called the doctor and was told to send her to ER. No communication between staff on patients care when shift change. Aides arguing with each other in front of patients/visitors, there was no one at receptionist desk to let you in..when she did come she is on personal phone. Went talked with the Administrator about my complaint for the 2nd time. He didn't have a clue about anything . Overall... My mother will not be going back there when she get discharged from the hospital.

I am glad to have made it out alive

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am writing this review to warn others off of this Pest Hole of an assisted living facility. I am a Heart Patient and require certain specialized care which was promised but never delivered. However, let me start with the positives of this place: 1) There are no better Janitors. 2) They knew to back off when the were about to be called on something to their higher management, which I actually had to once. OK, that's it! On to the many many negatives of my experiences with them. 1) The Staff is extremely lazy. For example none showed any evidence of having the Treatment Instructions as to how to care for my conditions. 2) When asked to do what was required to assist me, I would often get the retort "Go Do It Yourself!". 3) One "Nurse" complained that I was being "abusive" for making the reasonable requests as per my Treatment Instructions. This was the incident referred to when I called their higher management. 4) The furniture was wholly inadequate to my treatment. The "bed" required a special assisted approach. For my condition, an Easy Chair would have been infinitely more efficient, infinitely less dangerous, and far less expensive than the "bed". The chair was so uncomfortable that I surmise that a Medieval Torturer like Torquemada must have designed it. 5) The food was disgusting, and can best described as "Stale Fast Food Cuisine". 6) The Staff was PETTY. The "Nurse" I complained about intentionally spilled a drink near my foot, without replacing my drink. 7) Another "Nurse" walked away from me while I was in bed after I made it clear I wanted to talk to him, and despite my repeated protestations as he left. I was left without the Call Button for several hours. No thought was given to me as to the hazards I would face the next morning as I got up without the assistance I needed to do so. 8) The slow service must be mentioned, typically taking up to an hour for help to arrive. In fact, in a couple of instances, the Aspirin/Tylenol I asked for never came. Nor do I feel that I received all of the Medications in my Treatment Instructions. 9) Privacy was also an issue as I had a room invasion from a crazy woman, a neighboring patient. 10) I did not receive any of the Rehab Treatment promised. 11) I can't say I trust these people either. I watched my effects carefully to prevent pilfering. I was extremely glad that their Doctor was willing to discharge me because of Improved Health. It would not surprise me if I hear over the News that this "Medical Facility" gets closed down by a Police Raid by the end of this year. A One Star Rating in a Five Star Rating System, a Ten Star Rating System, or even a Hundred Star Rating System is TOO GOOD for them.

My father was at this facility for skilled stay then transitioned to long term. He was very happy and the staff was engaging and he made some wonderful friends. During the end of his life the staff was kind and caring and always there for myself and my family.

My family member is there. Because of COVID-19 we are not allowed to visit at all. She has lost 30 pounds from the inedible food. She is now too weak to go home. She cannot even get a hot cup of coffee in the am and is served meals after staff has been told MULTIPLE times it is something she does not eat. We are terrified to complain because of the poor quality of care she is already receiving. She has fallen a couple of times b/c of the inattention. i've never seen anything so horrible. It is honestly as though they could not care less about her surviving their facility. She is elderly and so it seems they just write them off - Patients not deserving of being served food they can eat.

We have used Accel twice, 2018 and 2020 for rehab. Both experiences were awful. There is no communication between staff and family. Medication was not given correctly. Meals did not follow required restrictions and most meals I had to go search for his tray because it wasn’t delivered. Physical therapy department was awesome. Plan to go help your family member at least 3 times a day because staff is not helpful unless you search for it. Administration turns over often so no changes were made when I discussed it with them.

My mother has had rehab care and assisted living here at Accel. It is a beautiful, modern facility with several sitting/common rooms, an inner garden, very large gym for therapy, and several dining rooms. Dining menus have variety and healthy choices. The staff are friendly and do their job well. The therapy is especially good. All the rooms have large windows and really nice bathrooms with natural tile. Super place!
