I have been a volunteer for only 6 - 7 months. I love what I see. The employees, that I have witnessed, treat the patients with the kindness, respect and dignity each one of us deserves. My mom is in a nursing home right now, and I like it. Burleson St. Joseph Manor is near where I live, and I'm familiar with it. The staff is good; I like them. She likes the food. She said it is so good.

My visit was not that good on several occasions when we went to nursing home my uncle had not took a bath. We found out that the nurse had not been giving him his pain medication. He had a bed sore because they was not getting him up. He end up in the hospital

My husband is treated as a family member by the staff. They greet him warmly and cheerfully by name. They make eye contact with him and any of our family that visits. The staff calls me immediately when there are any changes in my husband's health, behavior, or roommate. The facility is spacious, very light and open and very welcoming. It is very clean and never smells like urine. The residents are usually engaged in an activity of some kind and there are many activities scheduled for them...
