I have been to Kruse Village several times. It has independent living, assisted living, nursing, and physical therapy. It has all kinds of facilities there. Their apartments are a good size. They have a good-sized living room and a good-sized bedroom. They have a small kitchen and a nice big closet. I was impressed with that part of it. I didn't eat any of the food, but my husband has. He was there for rehab. They might have a different diet than the people that live in assisted living. They have good facilities, and the people are nice and helpful. They seem to have a pretty steady number of people that work there. They don't have a big turnover. They have about the same activities as other places. They have a library, a dining room, a little gathering area, and a dementia area. Their rehab is good.

Our family was very disappointed in the level of care the facility and the staff provided while our mother was a Memory Care resident in 2023. We had to supplement with a private care giver to ensure the basics. Family members or friends visited daily so we saw the blatant deficiencies: *no hot water for more than one day *cafeteria food left in her room *finding her in dangerous positions in or bed or chair *unprofessional staff saying inappropriate things and displaying rude behavior toward our mother, the care giver and family members. NO RECOMMENDATION

Kruse Village was nice, and they've got nice people. It just seemed older and not as nice as the other place we toured, but there was stuff that people other than me might enjoy. I saw residents playing cards and games. They had me waiting though, and I didn't like them as much as the other place.

We toured Kruse Village. I liked the site and the setting that it was in. The landscape was very nice. The cottages were spaced out in a wooded area. It was much roomier than some places. There was nothing to find fault with it. The prices were a little high for us; but as things go, they were very moderate. The staff that gave the tour was very informed, very helpful, and had a lot of answers I liked. The facility was nice. There were big closets, and it's kept up well. The one thing is that the location is not very good. It's too far from our doctors, but there's a hospital in town.

I’m very pleased with Kruse Village. It was a lot better than the one my wife was in. The staff members were fine as far as I know. They take care of whatever she needs. The only thing my wife remembers is me because her short-term memory is gone. The room is very nice and clean. It’s a single unit, but she has her own private bath and bedroom. It’s really nice, and she’s happy with it. So, I’m very pleased with Kruse Village.

Kruse Village was an awesome place to be in. The only problem was that I could not afford it. It was too expensive for me. They provided excellent care. The dining room was setup very well. The food was excellent. The people who work there were very kind and considerate of me. It was very clean.

My mother in law is in the memory care of Kruse Village. That’s how we knew about it. We have my parents placed in there right now. We looked for places close to Houston and Austin, that was kind of in the middle. They have memory care, assisted living, independent living, and active senior living facilities in one giant complex. Their independent living apartment seems to meet all the requirements that they had including costs. They’re not quality people. We thought it was a good value for the price. It was great; we have very good experience with them. We met with the director, and she showed us around. One of the things that was needed was a facility with a wheelchair lift. It was one of the few in the entire state of Texas we found that has a wheel chair lift. That played a big role. Their exercise program is an interest too. Most of the elderly people like my parents have no exercise now. They have chair aerobics. They take them to the local Walmart and grocery stores once a week and to the local winery. There’s a nice garden to walk around in the facility, and they have a therapy pool with a wheel chair lift. The wheel chair ramp goes into the heated pool. My sister can use that year round. My brother and I looked for these facilities, and we just liked this one. The care that my mother is getting is being provided in the ILF.

I toured this facility when I was considering putting my mom here. The facility is really nice and clean. The staff were very nice and the residents there looked well taken care of and happy. The atmosphere was bright and cheery. They have tons of activities daily. It looks like a really fun place to live. For now, we are keeping my mother at her home with in home care, but I think within the next few years, we will be taking her here. The only negative that I have about this living facility is that it is kind of pricey. But, I guess you pay for what you get.
