I visited this facility

The Bridge at Columbia was excellent. It was my first choice. I saw absolutely nothing wrong with the place. It was the best one I've seen. The apartments were very attractive, and the way they are arranged, they had a good layout for furniture. We visited with a lady that's been living there for a while, and she had a beautiful little apartment, and the way she had her furniture arranged was just great. It's got a partial carpet, partial hard floor, and a nice kitchen. It had a small refrigerator and a microwave, but the refrigerator was larger than most places. The apartments were just great. They have a round-the-clock little bistro where you can go and get real ice cream, like you're in the ice cream shop where you buy ice cream, colas, sandwiches, goodies, whatever, at any time of the day. That was an excellent idea and I liked that. The staff was absolutely top-notch. They were really, really, really great people.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The atmophere is very nice, homey, and professional at The Bridge At Columbia. My mother doesn’t participate in very much, just bingo once. I know they had a 100th birthday party just the other day, so they definitely do activities. The food is excellent. The facility is very nice, too. They will drive my mother with their transport vehicle to her appointments, and when they’re all done, the office calls them to take her back on the bus. If there's an emergency, they do whatever they need to do, like call 911, on the spot. They’re really good about what I’ve seen them doing so far.

I visited this facility

The Bridge at Columbia was beautiful but expensive. It was a new facility. It was very clean. I talked with some of their residents because I want to know how they like this place and they seemed happy being there. I saw their activities and they were very good. I never did eat there but I saw their menu and I was pleased with it.

I visited this facility

The Bridge was a very homey facility. Its clean, it's open, and the employees have caring looks behind their eyes. They had asked for people to come dressed in costumes to help with a Halloween party and costume contest for the residents. I dressed up as Data from Star Trek, my friend was a hippie. We served punch and cookies, danced with some of the residents, and talked. We talked a lot. There were about two dozen people in costume helping- some were volunteers like us, some were employees. The contest began with us being introduced one by one in our costumes, then the residents voted by clapping on who their favorite costume was. I think Star Trek was a little after their time, because I was definitely not recognized in my costume. I don't remember who won, but I really didn't care. It was fun, and the residents really seemed to enjoy the party.
