I do not personally have a family member held here at morning pointe, but I have volunteered some time to help out at Morning Point! As an outsider looking into this living center I truly see all the hard work and the love that these workers put into caring for the people of this facility. We all know that recent times have been rough and especially rough for the elderly who had to spend time without seeing family members for a period of time, during quarantine, but I have experienced these workers coming with amazing ways to continue to spark excitement and love into their lives! I feel this isn’t just an assisted living center but they make this place their HOME and family!

My Dad was a resident there for three plus years until his death. While at Morning Pointe my dad could not have received better care. The staff at morning Pointe of Athens, TN is top notch who provided quality care for my dad. They assisted the family in a gracious and kind fashion. The .staff and the residents seem to become a family very quickly. I really cannot say enough positive things about the staff at Morning Pointe of Athens, TN. Even though my dad is no longer there the Morning Pointe staff is still very much like a family to us. I have given Morning Pointe of Athens, TN a five star rating and would give more if it were appropriate.

Morning Pointe appeared to be a caring place and clean. It appeared kind of old. I saw them playing Bingo. They have spacious rooms.

Our mother has been a resident at Morning Pointe of Athens for 3 years. She LOVES it!!!! From the moment she first arrived she has received excellent care from every staff member. They are there to assist her when needed night or day. They keep us updated in all aspects of her general health. She is very involved in all of the activities that are present and there is a vast assortment of activities to choose from!!!! She loves the food and we do too!!! The residents are given a menu that offers a variety of foods that would suite any person's taste buds!! Morning Pointe is a wonderful facility and we would not have our mother anywhere else!!!! They truly go above and beyond what we have seen in other assisted living facilities!! They offer excellent care and love for their residents!!!!!
Nothing but the BEST for my MOM!

My siblings and I took great pains and time finding a suitable place for my 84 year old mother. She has worked full-time her entire life while raising four children. It was a very difficult decision to take our mother out of her home even though it was imperative for her safety. Morning Pointe has the most "at home" feeling atmosphere of any facility we checked. The food is delicious and if anybody leaves the dining room hungry it is because they didn't ask for extra servings. I am in the dining room frequently and the portions are generous. They always have other food choices available upon request if you happen not to like what's on the menu. You hear the residents commenting on how delicious the food is. I have even heard family members ask for recipes. The rooms are equipped with refrigerators and microwaves, but not because they don't get enough in the dining room. We like the fact we can keep snacks, drinks, and other food in the room for her to eat anytime just as if she was at home. It is a beautiful and clean facility. Doug, the person in charge of maintenance, is a favorite among the residents. Not only does he keep everything fixed, but he has a great relationship with each resident. I have seen him put a smile on many faces. My mother's cable went out one evening after he had left and he came back to the facility and fixed it and seemed happy to do it. One of the most important aspects of Morning Pointe to me is the fact that Kim and Tina want to make sure your family member and the family is happy. They ENCOURAGE you to tell them anything that you feel needs to be changed, corrected, or addressed in order for your loved one to be happy. They will even text and send pictures of your loved one experiencing a special moment or event. The fact somebody would say this facility is not suitable for a family member makes me very angry. I take my mother's well-being very seriously and I will assure you if I wasn't 100% convinced that Morning Pointe offered a safe, clean, and caring environment my mother would not be there!

The minute I walk onto the porch at Morning Pointe,I feel like I am at home. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. They go above and beyond in attempts to please everyone. My uncle has his every need provided for. He gets three meals per day plus snacks. There is an alternate menu if he doesn't like the regular meal. I eat with my loved one at least once per week and the food is good, the desserts even better! My uncle participates in activities and enjoys outings. The staff helps with adl's as needed. The nurses do a great job of keeping me informed if a medical issue arises. I am very proud to say that I do not worry about my loved one and that I have peace of mind knowing that he is very happy and considers MP home He has made many friends and socializes daily. The facility is very beautiful and well maintained. I would recommend the facility to my friends and families.

My experience with Morning Pointe has been over the last six months. My mother went in as a resident very frail, tiny, no appetite, no sparkle in her eyes, no desire to be social. Since she's been there she's gained 13 lbs. She looks forward to the meals - especially breakfast. For lunch and dinner, there is always an alternative meal, if you do not care for what is on the published menu for the day. Meal time is a pleasant social time too, for my mom. However, if she chose to eat in her room, they would bring her meal to her. They have engaged my mother in playing Bingo and Scrabble - and it's been wonderful for her - at 80 years old she's become a bit competitive. She attends a devotional time. And participates in a mild exercise time - which makes her feel good to have used her arms and legs and neck; that she would not normally done in her routine day. The staff there check on her all of the time. I've never had a moments worry about her care - and she left my home, to go live at Morning Pointe - so she could have more consistent care and regular, healthy meals. Her room is cleaned for her regularly. And the inside of the facility is beautiful. Several places to gather/sit and visit - if you have more guests than your suite will hold. My friends say "can we get a room there".

Cooks do the best they can with cheap food products. Some residents also keep food in their rooms because they are still hungry after the meals. They have done some upgrades like getting large screen TV's but the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. Also some areas of outdoor sidewalk are not very wheelchair or walker friendly. Even an able-bodied person with reasonable high heels could fall easily. Need a wider pull up in front of building. And above all, additional staff! Residents must wait too long to get attention, even in an emergency. I am not a great fan of this place and feel I am being generous in giving it three stars. I have a friend there but honestly I would never have my own relative or think of moving there myself. The cost is way too high for what residents are getting in the way of services and care. Food is atrocious. (kids in our schools get better stuff than these elderly people!!! It is a shame!)
