The facility is older, so was not surprised that it is dated, but there are no pictures on walls, and nothing cheerful in the residents' rooms. My mother-in-law waits an average of 60 minutes or longer to have her call button answered. What is completely unacceptable is the fact that on 2 separate occasions they have forgotten to bring her meals! The 1st occurrence they forgot to bring her breakfast & then they forgot to bring her dinner last night! I had always heard how good they were, but I can guarantee you that I will NEVER place another family there.

I brought my 100 year old father here for respite care after he went on Hospice. After 4 hours there I knew it was a mistake. Dinner was not brought to him and after waiting 20 minutes for someone to answer the call bell I went in search of help. I ran in to the activity staff person who said all staff were helping patients eat so no one could respond to the bell. They were told my father was at great risk of falling. What if he had fallen? Anyway this lady got his dinner and brought it to his room. She also brought him another phone as the one in his room did not work. No one ever did answer the call bell. My father an I were both overwhelmed by how unacceptable the care was. Also, the bed had 1 blanket which was very thin. I went home and got a warm blanket for him. Needless to say we took my father back home. The care there was totally unacceptable.

My mom stayed in the rehab. Mom said the care was horrendous. The staff was miserable, rushing around with no help. No one to answer her call light. One nurse actually cried while apologizing. She said the management wouldn't staff because they would get part of the profits if they reduced staffing. Who knew a not for profit pocketed profits? She said that they got rid of the only secretary, the stock person and CNA's and expected the nurses to do everything with no help. An aide said they were always running out of things and they werent allowed in the supply room to get what they needed, yet the company made millions of dollars in profit that no one knows where it went. Mom said they put briefs on her that were huge on her because they didnt have anything else. The administrator would walk around talking like everything was fine while the only nurse there was running around like a crazy person. Mom said he reminded her of a used car salesman. It was a miserable experience and she couldnt wait to get out.

My father went there for rehab . He came home with pressure ulcers on his heels . My father said he was so cold and he didn’t get a blanket . I have pictures of bruises from a handprint on wrist . My father said that he was treated roughly and uncaring . They might have stood him up on a leg fracture or meniscus tear and have been making him do therapy with an injury . The physical therapy man was rude . And the case worker was new and didn’t know what she was doing . I sent pictures to the director and haven’t heard from him .

We were very pleased with Westminster Rehab. My husband liked the food; it was pretty good. He liked all the aides and CNA's, his nurses, and all of the staff. They were very good.

We found the nurses and CNAs to be helpful, kind and caring. Of course we did find times when they were rushed and didn't take the time for the care of our father that we would have liked. But for the majority of time, the staff went above and beyond the necessary. Even when Dad was constantly walking and extremely agitated, we never once heard any of the staff complain, scold or be impatient with him. As he approached his death, the nurses and CNAs were extraordinarily kind, supportive and loving - to him and to us.
